What's the point of playing this on an emulator. It just makes you have to buy a stronger PC when you can just buy a Gamecube for dirt cheap now and play the game on full speed.

You can't rip a GC disc in the first place (at least not on standard hardware). Wii and GC discs are written *backwards*, and the Wii and GC read the discs *backwards* as well. In order to read it properly, you need a DVD player that can read *backwards*.

because the fps is only 20.

i don't know the exact required fps for the gamecube, but for N64, it's 60fps.

I didn't manage to get more than 20fps with Dolphin myself, but some people managed to get more.

What makes it slow is that your CPU is converting GC code -> windows in "realtime". Your RAM can be more important than your GPU in some cases, that it's what keeps everything loaded and running. mostly what your gpu does is light, smoke, and etc. effects.

You have to understand that that is a PC program emulating a whole different hardware (Gamecube). So the speed doesn't depend only on the graphics card.

yep, its mainly the cpu because the gamecube uses a different languge to pc's one so it goes command>dolphin>converting>cpu­>converting>dolphin>output, making it really really slow
