  • Wow. I could NEVER play this beautifully on my violin. It just does not have that exotic, foreign sounding love. Thanks for putting up such an amazing video with lovely pictures for an equally lovely song.

  • @TwiddleXTormenT

erhu is the different from violin becouse of floated strings from neck.

the sound of erhu especially fits for the music of relaxation I think.

  • @rt602 I was wondering if you have anymore information about this piece? im in a high school music study class and we're doing a project where we compare two cultures of music.

  • If you liked this then please try "PingHuQuiYue" its the same tune but equally as beautiful, played by a master musician. Also try "Chinese Erhu Music Sunset"

    "All on you tube"

  • This brings peace in a lifetime of chaos

  • The erhu is all about bowing and transitions between notes, it's not easy. @_@

  • beautiful music.

    so soothing and warm

  • oh I almost lost this wonderful piece of music.

even though its a few month ago, where I listen to it, but it still one of my favorites not only here on youtube. thank you once again for uploading this video

  • Can you recommend me an erhu song for a wedding I'm editing, I'm trying to capture the moment when the bride walks out to meets the broom a song that would show their deep love as the years go by some thing nice and kind of a sad melody song

  • This is so beautiful! Everytime, I cry. Where can I buy this exquisite instrument?

  • I bought mine in china.

  • Darn! . . . How much was it? Maybe they'll ship (for some insane amount, but I will totally learn to play it)

  • I bought mine in china too, but it's hard to know the real value because I purchased in a small shop in central china. I payed about 2200 RMB ($315)... I probably payed too much, though. In general, a good erhu costs between 1200 and 3000 rmb, and an excellent erhu is upwards of 3000 rmb. You can get an erhu as cheap as 100 yuan (about $12, but it's basically worthless stuff they slap together).

  • Sorry, I was late in answering.

Basically, erhu isn't expensive in China.($900 is the highest level, I heard) But in JP, over $1800 erhus are not rare!

I found some erhus in a*azon and e*ay, but I can't see through whether it's good or bad.

I'm happy if KISSklas gives us more information.

  • Oh my... that is beautiful. I actually own an erhu. After hearing this and Hua Zi Hill, I think I'm actually gonna learn to play this beautiful instrument.

  • thanx for your comment, and I'm happy to read yours.

I think "Bowing" is the most important technique for the playing erhu. Let's try playing and enjoy together!

  • very true:) if i become good i might upload some:)

  • it sounds so wonderful. I could listen to it for many hours.

  • I love this piece. I really want to learn to play Erhu, its beautiful.

  • thanx for your comment.

I hope you're going to have a chance to touch & feel erhu. That's easier to play than a violin.

But erhu isn't a popular instrument...

  • it sounds so beautiful again and again.

  • could you please send the link to download the song^^ in mp3 pls =D thanks

  • could you please tell me where i can download this song?

  • the best melody i ever heard between piano and erhu. VEry nice display pictures you have there

  • @davidchieu 4.year.old.comment.O.M.G

  • this melody sounds so good.

every time i can listen to an erhu makes me smile, cause its one of the beautiful sound in music

  • thanx for your comment.

this is one of the classical Chinese erhu song.

this is played by many erhu players,

and I like this playing best.

I've been learning erhu for 10months,

don't you think you try it?(^^)

  • I love Asian Traditional music a lot. But I'm from germany and its very difficult to find Chinese or other asian music. I don't know, but i guess to find a way to learn chinese instruments like erhu would be a lot more difficult. Chinese music like the Traditional Music or Artist like DaoLang or Xu Wei are very unknown here in germany. That is really too bad , cause I love Traditional Chinese and Modern Chinese music like Dao Lang etc.

  • +1

Too bad that's so hard to find.

  • thanx for you comment.

    what for "too bad"?

    sound? CDs? instrument?

  • "too bad" doesn't mean it is "bad" ^^ it's an expression meaning "not lucky", I meant that I couldn't find Yang Xing Xin's music.

  • I'm sorry because of my poor English...

Yang Xing Xin recorded many CDs by his independent label.

So I think it's difficult to find his CDs outside JP.

    wanna listen more?

  • I don't listen to music on YouTube normally, I use iTunes and scrobble my music on my Last FM account. But thanks for having uploaded this song, it made me discover this artist.

  • @rt602 I wanna-I wannaXD

  • hi,

can you tell where i can buy this wonderful cd?
