erhu is the different from violin becouse of floated strings from neck.

I bought mine in china too, but it's hard to know the real value because I purchased in a small shop in central china. I payed about 2200 RMB ($315)... I probably payed too much, though. In general, a good erhu costs between 1200 and 3000 rmb, and an excellent erhu is upwards of 3000 rmb. You can get an erhu as cheap as 100 yuan (about $12, but it's basically worthless stuff they slap together).

Basically, erhu isn't expensive in China.($900 is the highest level, I heard) But in JP, over $1800 erhus are not rare!

I found some erhus in a*azon and e*ay, but I can't see through whether it's good or bad.

I'm happy if KISSklas gives us more information.

I love Asian Traditional music a lot. But I'm from germany and its very difficult to find Chinese or other asian music. I don't know, but i guess to find a way to learn chinese instruments like erhu would be a lot more difficult. Chinese music like the Traditional Music or Artist like DaoLang or Xu Wei are very unknown here in germany. That is really too bad , cause I love Traditional Chinese and Modern Chinese music like Dao Lang etc.
