This is gonna sound nuts, but the steps have been around for at least 25 years, and probably way longer. Most of the steps were used by tap dancers and were 'borrowed' by cloggers and developed into a 'smooth-dance' style by for individual competitive routines. They were "hot-licks" back in the '80s.

Any quality bluegrass fiddle and bass player (Jimmy VanCleve and Jason Moore for instance) could do the music.
