  • i have eaten old candy also . not that old,but i do have the accessory packs that came with the c-ration. all that stuff is 40 years old . i think it would be ok to eat the chiclets and make the coffee but i will not . they are hadd to find and they are for display. i know the cigarettes are stail.lol

  • Hahaha. Those chiclets are probably hard as rocks!

  • welcome home. thanks for the comment. that is one thing i like to get is the radio but the price is to high. lol maybe some day. the only thing i need yet is the boots. they are not to hard to find. should have them by years end, never was on Lz.West. walked by it a few times when we were in the bush. never talked about vietnam much till i got on youtube. i forgot a lot but it is slowly coming back. a lot of young people ask me a lot about it. i try to help them out as mush as i can. take care

  • Not boring AT ALL.

  • If you have gotten any new items you should make a video of all your equipment!

  • i got a few new items. i posted pictures on facebook. i am having problems with my editing solfware that came with my vieo camera. everytime i click on edit the program closes. i did manage to upload a different way but i forgot how i did it. i can upload from the cameria to the computer and i can watch it but that is as far as i can go. i will try this weekend . it may have to be the pictures i took. i had trouble with it before.if you have face book check the pictures out will post here i hope

  • did you ask if i was in any pictures. i deleted the coment by mistake.

  • How much did you pay for that Ammo can? I have one from when my dad was in Vietnam. Mine has a hole in it from an Ak-47 round. They are pretty heavy when there empty. I can't imagine them full of ammo.

  • i paided 10.00 for it at a surplus store

  • how much did your whole collection cost

  • about 200.00 . the item that cost the most was the belt of M-60 rounds they cost 30.00 for 100 rounds i got 2 belts .still need the booths and butt pack. ,towel, wash cloth, boxer shorts and t-shirts. thats will be another 100.00

  • im starting to make a vietnam collection and one thing i cannot find is a vietcong gear or pj's if you have any websites or anything that would be awsome

  • the only place i can tell you to look is e-bay. that is where i got most of my items. if i see a web site i will let you know.

  • Hmm I know some Viet Vets, they cant bare to talk about it, but you, your different. Did you ever see the Horrors of vietnam?

  • i was there in 1970-71.spent most of my time in the bush. i never been in a fire fight while there. most of the time the viet cong would fire at us than run. my company was in one fire fight but i was in the hospital with hight fever. got hold of some bad water.the only horrors i saw are soldiers were injuried by booby traps. it was not pretty.

  • Well your really lucky, the things i heard wow.... its very sad

  • in the beginning of the war it was bad. and when i was there certain areas had a lot of fighting.

  • Wow! i bought many things in USA, but the problem in France, with laws...it's very hard to buy Guns like "M16A1, M14...or M18,M26. so it miss in my collection...but never mine!i have bayonets like USM7 USM4. and i have one AR2

  • the m-16 is what cost the most. that i will never be able to efford. that is why i got an air solf. m-16. it just for show. if i would ever win a lottery than i may get one.lol

  • nice

  • thank you

  • Which radio you looking for. The 25 or 77???

  • was looking for the 25,one place on the internet had them for 100.00 but he has been out of them for a while. all the other sights want 300.00 and up. thats a little to much for me. if i was younger maybe i would get one. but being retired that a little steep.

  • If I hear of any that price, I will let you know but it wont be a working radio, probably just the shell with the guts missing. The days of cheap field radios are over.

  • its pvtjarhead's surplus he has 77 and they do work. the 25 and 77. need license to operate them. i may get the kit he wants 60.00 for a used one.

  • nice stuff!

  • I have a pinapple gernade but it's from World War II

  • i hope to get a few at the air show this year. there was a guy that had a large box with them in and used smoke grenades.

  • Yeah thats the gut i think i got it from. Well the sell used Stick gernades there 2

  • Hey man, I think its really neat that you were in the Vietnam War and sharing everything with us younger generation. We dont learn too much about it in history or anything, and mostly base the war off movies. I may start making movies soon, just getting all me gear and these items, and your knowledge is helpful. Keep it up :D

  • thanks how are you coming with your gear. i hope i can get a radio this year sometime.

  • Alright, not really sure where I should buy gear in. I think I got some Vietnam era items, and my friends got a M16 from that time.

  • i get mine on e-bay,and i go to a few large flea markets.you never know what you will find there.

  • dont you have a wife?or is your computer your only pleasure?

  • i am retired, that war was 40 years ago. i have nothing against the vietamese, i thing they are great people. i wish i could go there to meet them but it cost to much for me to travel

  • sengoku16 stfu this guy is cool and if you live in the US you should be kissing his ass for what he did in vietnam and what he probibly had to go through when he got back they treated my dad like shit when he got home

  • hey man, 5stars great videos looking forward to more. keep up the good work

  • great video and nice gear ;)

    PS: You called the artillery?!

    so..you were a radioman?!

  • for about 6 months.

  • nice video, too...is that a real m16 in the back?

  • thanks. no its a airsolf. can not efford a real one. they cost to much. lol i got it just to show. i do not use it,but the weight is about the same as a real one.

  • weighs like a real one, thats pretty heavy id say, i got a ak 47, but without the thing in the back that goes to ur shoulder, and its ir soft too

  • m-16 was about 8 pounds

  • noo, im saying heavy for a air soft

  • i got the same ear phones...lol nice i got mines from wal-mart...

  • i think that is where i got mine. lol

  • lol, but i got 2 other ones there microphone is borken..

  • Where do you collect your stuff from Wizart ?

  • most of it off ebay. i pick by now. i do not bit on items. they go to high.

  • when i went to vietnam i had my personal uniforms that you put in storage. they issued your gear over there. including your m-16.when your tour was up you had to reture everything. the plane i flew over on was full of G.I. but they were from all over the the u.s. from different bases. they were asigned to different units in vietnam. there were only about 5 of use going to the 196th.

  • when i got to my unit there were guys that had only days till they went home, some had weeks and some had months. but you knew that when you where there for a year you were going home. you turn your gear in and your m16 .the plne was full of G.I. who were stationed all over vietnam. they always had replacements for the ones who were going home. thats the way they did it back than. i know this is more than you ask.

  • good day,

    nice equipment

but don't have your own equipment any more that you used in Nam?

    greetings

    hope to see more

  • I have identical grenades. I collect military surplus, WW1+2 memorabilia, lock knives, balisong knives, and a variety of other weapons. I like your videos, and anyone who served in Vietnam deserves nothing but respect.

Is that a genuine working M-16 Assault Rifle behind you?

  • no its an airsolf m-16.maybe somday i will be able to get a real one

  • You and me both.

  • Wow...I liked all of it

  • Did you know anyone in the 82nd or 101st Airborne division in Nam?

  • sorry i did not know anyone from the 82nd or 101st.only once did we work with a tank unit, the rest we were by ourselves.

  • ah, that's cool.

One more: Did you know any Green Berets? my uncle was a Colonel in that unit.

  • no i did not know any green berets

  • i think u woul like call of duty4(and xboxlive)

  • for some reason when i play with someone elso i suck. i always die.lol

  • oh i have a question are u gonna get an airsoft m16 and then paint it.

  • on the wall in the back of me is one. its the cheap one,but it feels like the real one. i will paint the end of it. maybe some day i will be able to get a real one .

  • not to be mean but y are u doing nam wen u were in nam why don't u try ww2 is wat i mean. oh and im sorry if this affends anybody its not suppost to.

  • i'm doing vietnam because i was there and was in that war.for me to do w.w.2 i would have to do a lot of reading. if my dad was alive i would ask him about w.w.2. he was a gunner in a b-17.

  • oh my grandpa hes alive still he was a pv. engineer in a b24.

  • my dad was only 5'3" so he was the gunner under the plane. i don't know if i could handle the job.i would be afraid the ball would come loose from the plane.

i went to a w.w.2 air show in june and saw a B-17 plus a lot of other w.w.s planes. if you have time check out the videos. they also had so much equipment and stuff you could buy. all w.w.2 stuff.

  • oh well do minfd if i sign off right now.

  • that's so weird, my Grandfather was a gunner on a B-17, he was in a ball.

He was in the Army air corps in the Pacific.

  • my dad was in the atlantic
