@DeadJesus100 Most cosmic radiation occurs as a result of coronal ejections from the sun. These comprise of alpha and beta particles - alpha can't penetrate paper. Both can be deflected by magnetic fields. Although weak relative to earth's, the moon does have a magnetic field. Since the astronauts had no exposure to the sun, they were already protected from coronal discharges regardless.
As for their radiation exposure thru space, they probably received a yearly dose in 4 days. So what?

Incidentally, a chest x-ray can administer up to 7 mSv (7000 uSv) and It makes absolutely no difference if you use lead protection - a certain amount of tissue will still receive that dose. The average annual exposure where I live is around 360 uSv (or 0.36 mSv).

Fortunately for the astronauts they are wearing space suits which is more than enough. Also what's up with your name? There's NO evidence pointing towards us not having been on the moon.
