Thanks for the comment Adamzman. You'd think the manufacturer would produce a good install video. I had the same thought when I watched it of why did they leave the gap between floor and insulation!
The video is showing a poor install with a big air gap between the floor and the batt. The batt should fill the cavity and there should be no air gap between the batt and the floor. It's better to use string to support the batts and a pneumatic staple gun instead of a manual hammer.
