  • Too bad Ann is not going to skate for South Korea anymore. He will skate for Russia instead. Stupid Korea Skating union... Korea Skating Union is corrupted as hell.

  • Man 5 years later and Im still getting chill watching this hahah

  • This race is proof to me that Ahn Hyun-Soo is the most gifted and most brilliant short track skater in recent times. He might not own all the records and his dominance may have only been apparent during one Olympics, but he just makes it look so easy. For those familiar with tennis, I really liken him to Roger Federer. He's just smooth and tactical. Every thing he does looks easy and effortless. It's amazing that he was able to come back on Hamlin on those last two laps WHILE making it look easy

  • @WaffleLover399 So true. But mostly from China. These chinks want to cheat and will feel proud to have cheated through.

  • amazing!!! Korea is so good.

  • KOREA > CANDA

  • beautiful. what a thrilling race!

  • one of the best 7:13min of my life.

  • whenever korea is in a race i always get the chills....

  • wow i just got chills watching that final lap

  • charles hamelin pushes too much what a bitch

  • w...wow

  • SEXYYYYY KOREA!!!!! XDDD

  • ahn hyunsoo is gonna be back next olympics and crush everyone :)

  • This is the BEST of the BEST short track speed skating I've ever watched. I was in an awe. What a fast speed skater Ahn was!! WOW...

  • ahns fuckin beast

  • omg I was like so scared even though I knew that the koreans won. Like towards the end I was actually panicking even though I saw this in 2006. ahn hyun soo is <3

  • 6:51

Did it look like the Canadian guy gave the middle finger?

  • How many clean medals did ohno won in his entire career??? guess none.

I'm sure he's the luckiest guy in short track history!!

It's a shame when he gets proud when he collects a lucky medal. So funny dork Jappenis!

  • Ohno's 500m Gold in Torino was a clean race. He was in first the whole time.

  • that was so fcking amazing. Korea is so good. Too bad they lost to canada at vancouver :( I was so sad

  • wow.. i knew the result of this game before watching this vid, but during i watch this game, i was like... wow.... i cannot say anything. Koreans are just so GOOD at thisssss <3333 wow

  • go Ahn Hyun Soo!!!!! Korean people really miss you so much!!

  • amazing ! I like the guy.. Ahn ~

I hope see his skating at 2014!!!!

  • korea's got best skills.. man impressive

  • charles hamelin is lucky ahnhyunsoo got injured and couldn't qualify this year. just wait till next olympics, he's gotta crush everyone lol

  • @phantomwaltz Ahn is a spent force. Many of the younger generation in Korea are flogging him now.

  • @phantomwaltz Ahn is a spent force, many of the younger generation are flogging him in Korea, I doubt he will ever qualify for selection again.

  • @phantomwaltz Ahn Hyun Soo will actually be skating for Russia. -_-;;

  • where can I find more clips from the olympics??

  • Ahn Hyun Soo! Ahn Hyun Soo!

  • stupid korea... They didnt pick the best player, ahn hyun soo, but they pick the ones the coaches prefered (because they are graudates where coaches gradutated.) Korea won 6 gold from short track in last olympic and just two gold for this olympic. Gosh, If ahn hyun soo was here, he may swept the medals like he did last time. He has an absolute speed that no one can possibly keep up with. Look at the last two laps in this video. I really want to see ahn skating in 2014, i hope.

  • ahn hyun soo has amazing speed. last two laps lol

  • why cant they have lanes?

  • @madmax797 cuz the distance would range whether ur in the inside or on the outside and u cant make it so you change lanes like long track cuz the turns are too fast and theres not enuf time to change lanes

  • 그리고 2006토리노 올림픽 끝나고 쇼트트랙 파벌 문제 때문에 안현수 왕따 당하고 협박도 받고 그래서 말이 많아요 ㅡㅡ;

    안현수가 참 불쌍함

  • 안현수 선수는 쇼트트랙 신이죠 ㅋㅋ 이번 벤쿠버 올림픽 때는 무릎을 다쳐서 출전을 못했죠

  • this year's short track races were not very fun like they were in 2006. too many sketchy DQ's and sketchy contacts not called.

and the fact that Ahn Hyun Soo wasn't there.

  • at least ohno finally got DQ'd right? thought that would never happen

  • I really love how Koreans skate and I think they are the best short track skaters in the world~

Ohno always wins by luck, not by his skating skills. I don't think he skates well anyways. Korean skaters rock!!!

  • ahh orgasm at 6:46

  • korea pwnz

  • goosebumps from 5 laps left. the last korean guy is amazing. 6:44, that was explosive acceleration, and it was the very last laps...he's superior to any other skaters absolutely.

  • his name is ahn hyung soo.

    He is still the best

unfortunately he didn't qualify for Korean olympic team this year due to many reasons you don't wanna know

  • why??

  • @agb0101 it's more like "Ahn.Hyun.Soo" you made a typo or something.

and the rest of your comment, you got it right on.... so unfortunate....

  • yeah, he is the best ever....although i would argue Marc Gagnon in his Prime would have been good competition.

Wasn't he injured and then didn't want to train with the korean team?

Koreaner. Somit wurde wieder ein neuer Markt erschlossen.

  • The last Korean player who skated to win was Ahn Hyun Su who got insured so this time for 2010 Vancouver game he couldn't attend. If he attended, the men's games could have been dominated by Korean players... Wow...I just envy them...As a Canadian, I just wish we may adopt their skills quickly to win gold someday...

  • 2010 Vancouver Korean women's 300 M relay, definately Korean players beat Chinese & Canadian & US players. Only the judge who disqualified Kim Dong Sung in 2002 and who favored Ohno did not agree. There is no way to appeal as short track games can be very subjective with lots of unexpected results but one thing is clear. They exceeded any other country players. I wish Canadians learn from them to win the gold someday....Skills and tactics from Korea...

  • absolutely and you mean 3000m

  • did anyone see the women's relay today? i can't they got DSQ ed! The korean skater had like no where to go in that tight turn and the china skater had a lot of room to avoid it. This is just like 2002, the u.s always benefits from these DSQ, I mean the u.s was SO behind n they get bronze, i mean rly. I'm just fustrated that the people who judge the DSQ were mostly American or all white, isn't that biased? It seems like it was made to give the U.S a medal. $ = protection from judges.

  • so agreed!

  • @marleix33

    Aer you kidding me?!?!

The canadians also benefitted, but you're not complaining about it

Sayingthe Americans benefitted cuz the judges were on their side? how bout the chinese who won the gold because of the DQ? No mention of that of course, it's all about those lucky, bum Americans who have all the money and judges on their side

THREE TEAMS BENEFITTED from the DQ, focus on the bigger picture

  • @warrenhv

well y should i state the obvious? if the last placed u.s benefitted then of course the rest benefitted from the DQ as well. I'm mostly focused on the U.S becuz they were SO behind and never had a medal in short track and the judge who DQ the korean skater in 2002 was there.

  • yea even one of the commentators were like "why did korea get DQ'd?" it's fucking messed up, there is a conspiracy against korea

  • this was one exciting race. no luck, no dirty play, just pure skill shown by the koreans and canadians for the medals being distributed deservingly (not always the case for you know who star skater).

  • Koreans and Canadians play nice, its just the Americans...

  • i find the problem with italians more.... :/

  • LOL who said you had to play nice in short track? If you're skating for the best in the world, of course everybody wants that spot :p

Oh and P.S. the Koreans get pissed if they don't win, like when they whiped each other out in the 1000m and said the Americans shouldn't have won.

  • holy cow that was epic!!! 1st then 2nd then 1st then 2nd then 1st at the stretch!!!

  • soo excited for this years relay!!

  • I just remember when Korea still won that Gold and then they won 1-2 today LMFAO LOLOL

  • I just remember a day ago when Korea got both gold and silver and ohno got bronze like a bitch LMAO

  • ayn hyun soo and jin sun yu both 3 gold each champions from 2006 olympics aren't in 2010 ...

if they were.. south korea would dominate this year.

i wonder why they missed out

  • injuries--

    ayn hyun soo seems like

    he's coming back thou;

I think he won gold weeks ago before the start of the Olympics...

    in...either..Korean one or Asian one..

  • @GizmoMofo7

they both got injured... so sad !

  • Man, that was exciting!

  • koreans got BBQ and thats IT!

    go canada baby

  • @Jdub1515 apparently not.

    we just wrecked you

  • yaya Jdub keep on dreaming haha

Ahn is such a talented skater. very sad he couldn't make the team korea. but i hope he makes it for sochi and once again rules the world!!! go team korea!!

  • LOL - and you think im American - try canadian baby!

  • canadians did well!

  • in vancouver it s only between korea and china.

  • @Jdub1515 What the hell dude USA is the biggest F ing cheater in ST. Not the other players i like them but Oh~no.

By the way if u ever wanna mess up with the best short track country in the world, at least know the info properly. The event happened in 2002 Salt Lake City held by the US. Go Korea^^

  • It was 2002 Salt Lake City, noob :D

Ohno did a simulation action and make Kim Dong Sung disqualified.

Why you are proving yourself as a retarded racist? ^^*

  • guess waht Korean are better than fucking your country so get thr fuck out

  • 한국 화이팅!! ~~!!

  • DUDE i thought Korea was going to lose and that last second #%# I'M SO PROUD

  • Youknowwhat If this commentary could name them correctly with decent pronouciation (Chinese/Korean) I would bow...

  • Great skating ahn.

  • I wish the CBC commentary named the actual skaters instead of treating them like "things".

  • Korea for 2010 & 2014

  • ohno.....again....

  • 진짜 똥줄탄다 ㄷㄷ

  • This is awesome. Is there a world championship for just this? I hope so. It's awesome. If it's not, they HAVE to make one!!!

  • It's a shame we only get to watch this pretty much only once every 4 years

  • @qubemaster

I'm not completely sure, but world cup skating happens like... every year. They do this every year.

  • They have the World Championships every year. Depending on where you live, you should be able to catch that on TV.

  • SGFDGHADKSFGJSAQKWEJAKDGFADJKSF. holy.

  • I swear the CBC broadcast is the best for the Olympics. I shall be watching CBC's 2010 short track broadcast rather than NBCs.

  • Unfortunately, you will never watch CBC's 2010 short track broadcast simple because CTV (a Canadian private chanel) is official broadcaster of Vancouver Olympic Games.

  • too bad that anh crashed into his other team mate during practice in korea during 2008. he is not participating in the olympic.....

  • its going to be exciting in vancouver 2010

  • B E A utiful

jeez korea is so good at short track at first there usulayy near the end looking so relaxed and then in like the blink of an eye they get up front and win:)

  • korea, the man,,,,, what can i say?

  • korean team awesome!!!!!!!! wow!!!!!!!

  • Great exchanges from Korea and Canada and the US, but Koreans with their superb passing took the win.

  • Jesus. From 6:45 to 6:49 Ahn looks like he was going more than twice as fast as the Canadian. Holy shit that guy can fly on the ice.

  • this was so intense. korea<333

  • Go Italy,GOOOOO!!!!!!

  • lol.

  • lol great korean team!! great canadian team!

  • I think it's rather odd that no one, not on the telecast and not in these 117 comments, has mentioned the role of the backmarker Chinese skater at the end. I mean, it was obviously accidental on his part to be in the way of the leaders, but I think he might have slowed down the Canadian skater just a tiny bit. Not trying to take anything away from them, because this is part of any sport with a closed circuit, but I'm just wondering why no one mentioned it...

  • Just to clarify: I don't think the Chinese skater blocked the Canadian, but I think he may have taken away his line and certainly stopped him from doing anything going into the final turn.

  • After he cheated he only got the gold for the 500m which no one cares about haha, at least we know that he is nothing compared to Ahn

  • no matter how many times i watch this clip i still feel tense and nervous... GO KOREA!!! Ahn Hyun Soo ~!!

  • me too

  • the announcer sounds like one of those classic horse race announcers

  • lol yea

  • That was an interesting race!!

  • what a race!!!

  • wow.... what an impressssssive race!!!!!

    it's always fun

  • easy to tell... next time get on the team and do it right..

  • I think the last Canadian skater made some errors.

  • What errors?

    Could you be more specific?

Not being able to skate as fast as Hyun-Soo is not an error.

  • 뭐라카노 ㅋㅋ

  • IM A CANADIAN KOREAN! :) Really enjoyed watching this that was INTENSE.

  • You mean Korean-Canadian.

  • How do you know what he means?

  • This was meant to be a reply, sorry... too many posts >_>

  • @tlsalsdmswladmfqkeem hahaha both the same :)

  • Amaging game!! Ahn, hyun soo is one of the greatest athletes. Sad that he was injured during training. Hope he recovers of the injury fully and shows us great races again!

  • Thats because Speed Skating is much more competitive in Korea. lol Korea has no one else to go up against but themselves.

  • lol so true

  • r there 3 ppl per relay team or 4?

  • Four.

  • oh ok. its kinda tough to tell with all the...crossing. and they just kinda tap each other? im used to track, with the baton, lol

  • wow that was a great pass by koreans on the last lap

  • That was not just any Korean, that was Ahn Hyun-Soo.

  • Yeah, Ahn never fails to impress... what an amazing race. Props to both the South Korean and the Canadian teams for their awesome prowess.

  • That was an incredible pass!

  • I love this sport! Korea and Canada seem to always battle it out. The Koreans are great at this sport, I mean didn't they get 1st,2nd and 3rd place in one womens race? Canada is also amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing this event live at 2010 Vancouver Olympics :D

  • Impressive race here.

  • Sweet revenge for robbery at Salt Lake.

  • amazing the lastest lap...wonderful!!

  • hell yah! go korea!! KP!!!

ohno can just go touch himself... XD

  • wow, what a thrill! that was amazing!!!

  • my god :| i used to watch only figure skating, but omg :| this was so exciting! and the last acceleration was amazing! i wish i could skate like that, now i feel like i'm so slow on the ice, lol.

  • haha u are slow on ice ... :) and KOREA ROCKS

  • OMG!..I LOVE THIS SPORT TO DEATH AND KOREANS ARE THE BITCHES (as in "yay!" lol) KOREANS ROCK!...and figure skaters ARE slow...sry, vicjoubert...but yeah...i'm italian and i was rooting for the koreans!!..lmao!, oh!...my coach is korean too!!..I LOVE KOREANS!! :)

  • ha, u didnt include the part when they showed the replay of how Canada got the lead by CHEATING! he shoved the korean with one had towards the outer part of the rink when they were really close.

  • hells if I could run 5000m that fast... XD

  • c'est l'québec contre la Coré du sud :D trop fou comme course !

  • those are my boys, go korea

  • That last acceleration was unreal.... JUST AMAZING........ GO KOREA!!!!

  • Yeah!Wow!Hyun Soo Ahn is simply the best. So smooth, fast and brilliant. That lastacceleration by Ahn wasamazing. The speedin thissport is just so cool watching.
