its a happy somber sad moment you can tell by watching Hamilton's quiet moment when he decides to climb out of the Kings cockpit.Respect .... RIP , We miss you Senna . El mejor del Mundo !!!!!!
@SureShotGaming1 You're not the only one. That was the best part of the video. For anyone who is a fan of Senna, doesn't need any words to appreciate that moment. Their respect for Senna is truly amazing,
They cant even say his name, not once during the video. And I understand, cause I am also from their generation, and you cant simply say his name in vain. That guy wasnt just a man, he was a true hero
Yes the cars are still stored at the old Mclaren business park, although 36 of them are on display at the MP4-12C road car dealerships around the world. The museum at MTC is not yet ready to take the stored cars. Unlike other F1 teams Mclaren have kept all their recent cars(1970's to date) and are trying to buy back ones from the 1960's.
i actually respected lewis at 2:14 just remembering that they are the ones who looked up to senna, and they cant beilive there living in a life were they are actually sitting in a car drivin and won by a hero, lewis seemed to have more of a connection, senna was a legend the day he died my dad was simply devastated, a true fighter he was
@liamjames9 Its a Unit on the old Business Park where they are stored and looked after by the historic guys. When the museum is finished at MTC, they will be moved there.
@gt5profan Because in 1988 the boost had been limited to 2,5 bar and moore importantly the fuel capacity for the turbo was reduced to 150ltrs/race and the Mclaren Honda only had 650bhp the Ferrai had 720bhp but it was alot thirstier so they had to drive quite economically both the Ferrari and the Mclaren altough the Honda had a better boost-juice ratio
I read somewhere that all 6 McLaren MP4-4s are still around. The f1 cars never get scrapped. Its the old stock cars that end up in some barn or field someplace

@fabiolulinha - I agree, the cars of the mid to late 80's were just plain mad. Mansell said the 86 Williisms F11, in qualifying trim, had so much power it would wheel spin in 6th gear on the main straight!!! The real problem for drivers in the 50's was the circuits. No safety barriers, lined with trees and all manner of obstacles. It got even worse in the late 60's thru the 70's as cars became uber fast, would explode on impact, while circuit owners slowly made improvements!
@RDNH1971 If they were in a museum, they'd just sit there. 'Cause for the most part, museum cars don't race. These things though, a weekend of prep, and they're ready to take to the track.
They look more at home in a factory for some reason. It doesn't have the "petting zoo" feel to it of a proper museum. Sort of like a lion in the Serengeti. They belong here.
How can people say that drivers today are 'pussies'? Typical armchair rubbish! It's still a dangerous sport. It's like saying Senna, Prost, Mansell et al were pussies compared to the guys in the 50's because they wore seatbelts, full-face crash helmets and fire proof overalls.
@InnAb109 good point buddy...just being a F1 driver you gotta have balls...In the 50's thou, the cars didnt have 1200 hp. It still crazy just to imagine going fast without seatbelts and the cockpit almost opened but in Senna's era the safety wasnt that good and the cars was stupendously furious, manual gearbox, etc etc...then proportionally speaking, those guys were for sure the real men with huge balls to drive that machines in the limit!
@InnAb109 I agree totally.. In life the ones that go round slagging people off have some kind of problem.. they are the Pussies and everything else in between.
Great video. Watching it though you see how much more of a spiritual connection that Hamilton has to the cars than Button. That moment (2:13) when Hamilton pauses just after he's imagining it being driven back in the day by Senna is the best.
good point. I never really have seen that from Hamilton before. I can only imagine how he felt when was sitting there behind wheel, knowing that legendary Ayrton Senna raced with that car.
@80Handbags man thats just a show. They are acting. Hamilton probably wanted to have that emotional face in the video and make it look like he feels connection with Senna because he is Ayrtons fan. Jenson could do it as well but he is just not the image he is looking for.
@thnk4urself I'm not much of an Alonso fan but he's widely regarded in the F1 paddock as possibly the best all rounder. His win in Singapore this year was stunning, probably the best of the season. And he's not always in great cars; he's spent the last two years in a sub-par Renault. The reason he's had the opportunity to drive some great cars is because he's damn good.
These boys are great. The way to a race fan's heart is indeed through Senna!!
