  • I stumbled upon Aye le on a dvd sometimes ago and I have been playing it daily. Soon, I will know the words (in Ibgo, I think) by heart.

    I even sing a part of the song in public. What an amazing song! I am so proud of the performers and my brothers and sisters at large in the Motherland. I do hope to popularize in my homeland, Jamaica. Who knows, maybe one day I will get the group to perform...in Jamaica and Canada. May God bless them, while I bury myself in the tune. Well-done!!

  • i've been round africa, believe me Yoruba language is the most beautiful. listen to this song, its so soothing. i just love yoruba, sadly, i did live in Nigeria for three years but i didn't pick a word of it. but i forgive myself cos i was in the heart of hausaland in Kaduna.

  • This is one of the soundtracks to "Madam Dearest, Aya mi owon", which IMHO is probably the best Nollywood film in the last couple of years from the OGD stables.

    Of course when taken out of the context of the movie, the song will elicit the differing responses seen here but it does not detract from the fact that it is an excellent well written song, one that sticks to the memories and keeps replaying itself, and approriately befits the storyline of the movie.
