I used this song in my Chernobyl tribute because the lyrics work so well , the friend could have grown up and become been a worker and the girl his friend and the mum could have been one of the seriously affected surviors , Pypriat did become a wasteland after the accident so the line at "1:02 - all that remains is emptyness is accurate and it will remain that way for the rest of time.
