So far no one have prove that what north Korea did was illegal, peaceful space research and rocket launches are allowed under the UN, America and Jupan thinks it was all a cover story for a missile test. Any UNSC resolution requires US, China, UK, Russia. France approval. Again all you needed was for china, or Russia to veto that UNSC resolution. Any general assembly UN resolution doesn't require US vote. You don't need US approval for a treaty to work. US is already one of the worlds leading producers of wind and solar energy production.

When Russia launched Sputnik into orbit, the only capability the sattelite had was to generate a beep tone. This tone was picked up by amature (Ham) operators all over the world. Russia proved with out a doubt it achieved it's goal.
N. Korea on the other hand is banned from launching rockets for ANY reason yet did so anyway without offering any reasonable proof of their motives. At least Russia had the good sense to make a point. N.K. Im afraid can not be trusted, their word is worthless.

Dude don't you get it, China and russia's veto power is same as US, which means they could have vetoed that UN resolution. So guess what dude, that UN resolution is the world talking and saying they don't want NK to test those types of weapons, China doesn't, Russia doesn't.
So at the end of the day it's a UN resolution with backing of the other permanent members, along with japan and south korea. So don't try and pin this on the US because China and Russia could of vetoed it.

China and russias veto are not nothing. They are just as powerful vetoes as the US. You only need one veto from a permanent UNSC member in order to kill the resolution, China and russia are permanent members. No one used the veto due to the fact there was never a resolution put up to be voted on.

So the US actions have to follow a popularity poll. So even when there isn't a UN resolution saying they can't do something they have to follow everyone? Even if its just one nation that disagrees? Ya ok. UNSC resolution 1441, would suggest they did have the right to attack, also showed the world supported such actions too. More support then the first gulf war, the US invaded with a coalition of over 30 nations into Iraq.

But those are written under the de facto peaceful status, not a peace treaty. So technically, the US can argue in a strong international law position to strike. But of course, with Obama in place, the US will do nothing until his adminstration nurses the economy back to health.

I never said it was politically to restart a war with an incident like this, but a game of chicken might. Japan may launch an anti-ballistic naval execise near N. Korea. This, I guess, is the worst that could happen in the short term.

So because the US didn't sign the kyoto means that those countries who agreed to the kyoto, failed in their own efforts when it came to meeting the kyoto goals. Ya ok, kyoto wasn't going to work even if the US did sign it. Look at all the countries that signed and then spent all this money on trying to reach the goals of kyoto and failed. The US was wise not to sign it because it was nothing more then a money sinker with no results.

Any UNSC resolution requires US, China, UK, Russia. France approval. Again all you needed was for china, or Russia to veto that UNSC resolution. Any general assembly UN resolution doesn't require US vote. You don't need US approval for a treaty to work. US is already one of the worlds leading producers of wind and solar energy production.

Kyoto failed because it couldn't be achieved. Can you show me any evidence that shows that if the US supported the kyoto protocals that those nations that tried to meet those goals would have succeeded instead of failed. You can't you know why? Because the US had no influence on whether or not a nation was able to successfully meet its obligaion they made when they signed the kyoto protocals. A lot of nations by themselves put billions of dollars into meeting those goals and failed.

In the act of kindness, I agree that N.Korea should have a meeting with their neighbors before they launch their missiles because they are endangering the life of the people in their community and good ethical judgment I agree would be appreciated among nations of nations for nobody wants a slip of death on their territory.
