  • Приятная музыка. Его стиль зачаровывает. Ненавящивый и плавный.

  • I'd love to hear this guy cover some Iron Maiden or Metallica!

  • Morrison was one of the greatest lounge singers and he didn't even know it.

Scary how easily some of his songs lend themselves to this style...and while I'm at it, you people need to get a fkn sense of humor.

  • @lummoxedup I realize your comment is a year old but I had to respond. The reason why so many of The Doors songs lend themselves to lounge type "muzak" is because lots of their writing involved Latin rhythms and salsa beats. Nothing scary about it. In fact, those unusual rhythms and influences are one of the reasons why their music sounds so unique. Not many pop bands were borrowing Latin sounds. Yeah, half of these monkeys don't realize that Mike Flowers Pops is pure humor and satire.

  • @ritter89 Interesting response Mr. Ritter, and thank you, I apreiciate it.

I'll have to give The Doors another listen to pick up on these rhthyms, it's been a while. It's his vocal style on certain songs that make me think crooner, but your take on it intregues me. - Cheers

  • @lummoxedup Yeah, just listen to Break On Through. The intro rhythms are pure salsa. Densmore touches upon it in one of their docs (forget which). Morrison definitely crooned at times. He almost enters lounge singer territory on The Soft Parade. I still think he had one of the most interesting and powerful voices in modern rock, though. The guy could let out blood curdling screams and still remain in key

  • @ritter89

"The reason why so many of The Doors songs lend themselves to lounge type "

... is because they ARE lounge songs. The Doors have made a few good songs, for sure, but I think most of it is fairly boring.

  • @lummoxedup Funny, but I forget what album it was that the doors producer said it sounded like a cocktail album.
