  • John Bubbles appeared on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. I thought something had gone wrong with network policy, bring something completely entertaining back from the old days. They had, and Bubbles was such a hit he came back again and again. I feel privileged top have been there to see him.

  • They had skills!

  • These guys were so smooth

  • This is ENTERTAINMENT!

  • saw varsity show this morning on TCM... my goodness. THEY'RE AWESOME!!!

  • Wow, what dancing... and I love Bubbles' singing. Have you heard the LP of Porgy and Bess excerpts which Skitch Henderson conducts with Leontyne Price, William Warfield and John W Bubbles? The original and one of the 2 greatest Sportin' Lifes (can't forget Cab)!

  • Oh how I wish blacks and whites could join together this way again. :) The power of the word "dance." :)

  • I LOVE THAT!!!!!!!

  • Great dancing + the skateboard invented @ 2:20 ;-)

  • thanks,I just discovered them.

  • i think i found a new interest: tap dancing :)

  • Straight bust from the soul!

  • I wish I could super-like this!!

  • This is amazing tap dancing. WOW!

  • Beautiful!!

  • excellence is wat this is

  • Go on, dance for those white people *rolls eyes* this is why they are pushing affirmative action i guess; "classic hollywood"

  • @rankingtrevor what the hell are you talking about numskull? what on earth does "affirmative action" have to do with this clip?? Although it would do wonders at eliminating incompetent idiots like you.

  • ABSOLUTELY SUPERLATIVE!!

  • You might have named the very best tappers of all time! The contest at the Cactus Club between the Brothers is still legendary. Wish there were a video of it. It is talked about even75 years after they perfomed at Cab Calloway's Club. The Berry Brothers jumped 1 1/2 stories and did a perfect split to beat the Nicholas Brothers who had just performed a flawless performance! There. is a variation of that routine on You Tube. One of the Berry Brothers was an Our Gang member. They were amazing.

  • @hajune oooooooo wow niceee

  • thanks for the video

  • Fred Astaire acknowledged Bubbles influence on him.

  • @mumbleora didnt bubbles teach fred2 tap dance?

  • @Blackjesus3 John Bubbles is considered the father of rhythm tap. He did indeed ; teach Fred how to rhythm tap. Fred was a ballroom tapper before. They were almost the same age. Bubbles and Eleanor Powell often tapped together outside the movies. She thought Bubbles was the greatest rhythm tapper EVER and showed her appreciation toward him when he taught her many of his steps.Wish they could have danced in movies. It would have been awesome. They broke attendance records though at the reviews.

  • @hajune ohh ye bubbles was an amazing tapper so was fred but you cant 4get the berry brothers and the nicholas brothers

  • Too bad the tap dancers of today don't know how to entertain an audience like this...maybe it's time to look to the past for rhythms that appeal to the audiences ear....too much speed today - no real rhythm all 16th & 32nd notes - no holes, no rhythm - no audience...

  • omg what a footwork

  • We should never forget the greats like guys like these.

  • Wow, this is amazing!

  • sickk dancers

  • magike!!!!!!

  • This is great! Thanks so much for posting.

  • Brilliant...thanks for putting this up!
