REMEMBER LILI HAYDN IS THE MAIN TALENT HEAR AND NOT EVEN LISTED WHAT A CHEEK SHES AWSOME ITS HER THAT MAKES THIS VIDEO SO GREAT 6.20 IS BUCKET HEAD REMEMBER THAT
Great VIOLIN by Lili Haydn! And Buckethead does it up right on guitar! I've added this to my mix of eclectic VIOLIN favorites ranging from blues to bluegrass, rock to Polish mountaineer-Jamaican reggae. Check 'em out on my youtube channel linked below in blue to the left.
Eddie Hazel's version is totally amazing but I have to say this one with BH and Lili Hayden is also exceptional. Emotional and heartfelt just like Eddie's. Great song - wish there was a live version of this. is there ??
the 3 most amazing things iv ever heard is eddies version from one nation under a groove, john frusciante's before the beginning and this. i wish eddie, john and buckethead could do a g3, but instead of asshole shredders, it would be the 3 most emotional guitarists in the world
C2B3 did Maggot Brain as their encore around the same time. I have a copy of that on cd....that's what I was trying to find video of. Anyhow, you can still purchase soundboard recordings of the whole c2b3 tour.....they are all well worth the $9.99. BTW, the first guitar solo is clearly not BH....the second one sounds more like it.
@JameoIsAnEpicWin both amazing but i understand it when people say they like buckethead better than slash...but 2 me they r both legends. same as jimi hendrix and eddie hazel.
@WizardofFuzz Holy craaaaap man!!!! My thoughts, EXACTLY!!! Took the words out of my mouth! Yngwie is such an asshole, and he's good technically, that's bout as far as it goes, whereas buckethead OWNS! :P
@WizardofFuzz I threw away the Malmsteen tutorial lessons on VHS that I bought a long time ago. He's useless outside of his own genre of music..a 1 trick pony. Arrogant prick too as U say. The section of his teaching video on the blues was a joke, and that alone made me throw his video away, lol !
@fallios Yeah, I was about to call bs on this.. The intro solo is obviously not Buckethead. I have never heard him play with that kind of phrasing. The second half most definitely is BH.
@itsturbotimeyall Well know doubt, but in its own sense, it has a great feel to it. A much open and clean feel as opposed to Eddie's high fuzzy octave jams. I feel more like flying in space with the world open to me with this one while Eddie's I feel warm and embraced. Take what you like, though, and blast it for all others to hear, I guess.
I was just wondering if Buckethead had ever done work with an electric violinist. @
assassinloki090, I think the violinist used wah with an expression pedal, and some delay too; auto wah sounds very different on a bowed instrument in my experience.
one of the sweetest bonnaroo memories i have was under that tent that night. even though buckethead kinda freeked me out a little up close it was amazing
Eddie Hazel was one of the (best) Funkadelic guitarists. The Album Maggot Brain opens with his epic solo with the same name. I prefer the original over the cover, Eddie is really an amazing guitarist. Too bad there isnt much footage of him here on Youtube.
I remember I once read Buckethead saw Eddie as one of his influences. I hear some connections on the Population override album.
It's a great song, but why did u have to leave off the ending? You could have even made this vid into 2 parts and I would have been happy, but I digress.
Santana also does a cover, both amazing musicians
