its not a matter of "who is the better actor". i do believe they chose kristen for a reason and whatever that is, im happy with it. im happy emily didn't get the part because, she's a REALLY great actor and i have to admit that the movie wasn't that good at all, so i mean yeah it could've been nice to see her portray bella but let's face it, she's way too good for that part. so as not to confuse anyone, im all in for Emily i love her more, but we have to admit, kristen did a pretty good job too

I think Emily Browning is much more beautiful and clearly a much better actress, and it would be great to see how she would perform as Bella Swan. BUT, I honestly do not think she would do a better job. Kristen Stewart portrayed the part like it was her own, and that's all you can really ask for. :)

Emily would have been lovely as Bella, but remember that Bella was not supposed to be beautiful. She was supposed to be very plain and simple. In my opinion, it would have been much more difficult to make Browning look plain than Stewart.

Why does everyone keep saying Bella was suppose to be ordinary?? She wasn't. Bella was suppose to be beautiful in a natural...non make-up girl way but didn't know it. SHE thought she was ordinary and that was why she couldn't understand what Edward (and everyone else) saw in her. She was too good of a person to think she was pretty. Emily would have made a MUCH better Bella. I love the books and the movies, but in a way Kristin Stuart ruined it for me,she was asolutly not the bella in my mind.

I personally think they both have their stunning moments, but generally i think emily is prettier. But i do prefer kristen as bella, even though she isnt the perfect bella (as she said in an interview: everyone pictures bella differently and most people even picture themselves as bella). Kristen is one of my fav actresses and even though i liked her in twilight, my fav films she's been in have to be; In the land of women and the disney channel movie (based on the novel) Speak.

@demonblond14 yeah I see where you're coming from but bella underestimates herself SO much in the stories that most of the audience already has this image of a pale, flat-haired, "average" looking girl. Not to mention she's supposed to become a BEAUTIFUL vamp later so the transformation they'd do on Kristen would get to look more dramatic than one on emily.
