  • I cannot go without reminding people of the GREAT CONTRIBUTION THE 'ROLLING STONES' MADE TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF RACE RELATIONS IN THE U.S.A. BY GOING TO THE STATES TO TOUR IN 64', THEY BOUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF A WHITE AUDIENCE, THE EXISTENCE OF RHYTHM AND BLUES, IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. IT NEVER GOT AIR TIME IN THE WHITE AREAS, UNTILL THE STONES STARTED PLAYING IT, AT THEIR CONCERTS, AND BOUGHT THE BLACK BLUES SINGERS BACK TO TOUR IN THE UK. Thanks Mick.Brian and Keith, FOR HELPING THOSE GUYS OUT

  • Remember what happened to the 2 JIMI'S AND BRIAN. THEY WERE WAY TO CREATIVE FOR THE BRAIN TO HANDLE IT ALL, AND THEIR BRAINS JUST EXPLODED.Imagine what the STONES,DOORS and HENDRIX would be creating if they were still alive, it is too scary to think about. When I listen to HENDRIX'S INTRODUCTION TO 'NINE TO THE UNIVERSE' or his LIVE VERSION OF 'ROOM FULL OF MIRRORS' at the Albert Hall, and the WHOLE OF THE STONES 'GET YOUR YAYAS OUT', I FEEL SO, SO LUCKY TO HAVE BEEN BORN IN THE 20th century

  • I actually like FAIRPORT CONVENTION A LOT MORE, 'LIEGE & LIEF' WAS OUTSTANDING,4 tracks are unbelievable,'THE DESERTER' 'COME ALL YE' 'TAM LIN' and 'RAYNARDINE'.IT REMINDS ME OF A TIME BEFORE THE ROMANS INVADED, A FOLKY, VIRGIN,PAGAN ENGLAND. But even they were'nt as HEAVY and DEEP, I MEAN REAL DEEP as the VELVET UNDERGROUND,WOW,THESE 4 TRACKS WILL KILL YOU,'VENUS IN FURS' 'ALL TOMORROWS PARTIES' 'SUNDAY MORNING' and 'SISTER RAY'.Stick to alcohol and pot, when listening, don't take ACID.

  • Ok I know they made great albums like ' Fingers' and 'Exile', and some of their best songs were not even on albums, 'Little Red Rooster' ' WE LOVE YOU' 'Jumping Jack,,'but those 2 r the best.My third favourite is 'SATANIC...', all the media don't rate it, then they are'nt Stones fans r they?.It is a FANTASTIC PIECE OF PSYCHEDELIC HEAVEN, THERE ARE 5 TRACK OF PURE CREATIVE GENIUS ON THERE,THANKS TO BRIAN,R.I.P. For those guys into JEFFERSON AIRPLANE, CHECK OUT 'FAIRPORT CONVENTION' ALBUM

  • But Jagger was the second most influential Stone(they got their name from a title from a MUDDY WATERS song)Jagger sings 'Prodigal' 'Parachute' 'Factory' 'Vain' Expectations','You Gotta Move' as if he had been sitting on a bayou for a thousand years, that BLACK MAGIC was sewn into his sinews and blood FROM BIRTH. But HE MANAGED,WITH KEITH AND BRIAN TO FUSE THAT WITH FOLK &ROCK,They are the next chapter in THE BLUES, and is a FANTASTIC ALTERNATIVE TO THOSE WHO CAN'T GET INTO MISSISSIPPI BLUES

  • How Jagger manages to get his LIPPS and VOCAL CHORDS around 'MONKEY MAN' astonishes me.He is the only caucasion I have heard who can make a BLUES song sound BETTER THAN the original.Race is VERY important with the Stones, without the DELTA, MEMPHIS and CHICAGO blues, you would of not got the PASSION for R&B music that the English had in the early 60s, particularly from BRIAN JONES,WHO STARTED THE STONES, AND WHOSE FAVOURITE ARTIST WAS ELMORE JAMES.

  • It's GREAT to see people on here that were around when the album came out. and, like me, still LISTEN TO IT WITH THE SAME AMAZING APPRECIATION AS THEY DID WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT, AS I ALSO DO WITH ' LET IT BLEED ' as well.BOTH are MASTERPIECES, It is no coincidence that BRIAN JONES had a MASSIVE INFLUENCE ON BOTH, and the Stones never made EVERY SONG on their albums masterpieces again, that is what is so unique about these 2 albums, EVERY SONG IS IN VALUABLE,

  • It' just amazing how ALL the great Rock bands make their BEST albums 4 to 5 years AFTER they release their FIRST album,(Apart from Hendrix who was only around for 4 years and managed to make all his albums THE BEST) After the STONES released their 1st R&B album, they made 'Beggars' and 'Bleed',5 years after The BEATLES 1st, they made 'Peppers' and 'Magical', As did DYLAN with 'Bringing it...' and 'Blonde', It all coincided with psychedelic LOVE and marijuana. These two things, R GOOD 4 U 2

  • Incredible slide guitar by Brian Jones. No wonder Richards resented him.

  • 2 people should slit their throats

  • Gracias Brian Jones...RIP

  • I consider myself lucky to have lived in the time of the Stones and other great bands of the Sixties...

  • @68generation que envidia yo solo tengo 26 años y por eso te envidio

  • @68generation Same here. Lucky and very grateful. Bands during that era had freedom of creativity, something that is not afforded many bands these days, as a brilliantly written and performed song won't make the profit a commercial pop hit does. The '60's, and I think the '70's should be included, were like the "Toddler Years" as rock was really just coming about. Everything you heard was new. Not the same sh*t, different day. It was an amazing thing that will never happen again. Loved it!

  • 1968...? Unbelievable but True. Yet.... unbelievable for still so Good. It could have been made in 2010 ("now") and then still only Good. It is not trendy. It just is Rolling Stones. It is not just this song. Is it magic? Is it... "G*D"? What..., what is... with the sound, with the "style" or...: what is it that is so sublime? Even after so many years it is like fresh. Maybe it is everlasting "stones" music? It is... one of those legendary songs and in all modest humbleness. No expectations.

  • @musicminded64 It is the Brian Jones magic.
