  • "This is an optical disc" I have the biggest smile on my face :)

  • 7:06 WHO WEARS SHORT SHORTS?! :D

  • Hes rocking those shorts at the lake, hawt. Lol jokes aside richard dawkins is brilliant I have 3 of his books, I plan to buy the others :)!

  • Richard Dawkins is eloquent and handsome. Unfortunately his arguments are not based in reality. It is obvious that the Universe was created. How can things come out of nothing. It just does not make sense!!!

  • @MrGeorgios2020 Richard dawkins agrees the universe was created. But how do you get there to a theistic world view of a god answering prayers?

Everyone in the world agrees that the world was created, it is just that some people go ahead and start making assumptions of what created it.

  • @psychotic492 I don't think that you can speak for Richard Dawkins

  • @MrGeorgios2020

"How can things come out of nothing. It just does not make sense!!! "

Delving into quantum mechanics will likely blow your mind.

  • Is this the book

  • is this the

  • haha look at him in his little shorts

  • Excellent points. Particularly the one on the schoolboy. I always see R. D. as the PROFESSOR.

But it is so true that he probably was the proverbial nerd and I see him in front of me now, shorts and wavy hairstyle. Too funny. But every class had one.

    Brilliant all the same.

  • Don't you mean even more so?

  • :-)

Not really. I have been proven wrong so many times. These characters actually did come out as great thinkers and philosophers.

It's just that I was more interested in girls and parties at the time.......

  • I guess I've always judged brilliance more by the prominence of one's... individuality than by their harmony with set ideological (or dressing xD) standards.

I admire the fact that intellectuals (nerds) often don't seem to care much about those who sit back and giggle at what we later pass of as "eccentricity" when they become famous physicists or mathematicians.

But you're right. None of that makes it any less of a shock.

  • Ahh thanks for the post. dawkins is awesome, always fighting the good fight.

ps those shorts- HAHAHA! Not what I was expecting.

  • I love this argument! R.D. is brilliant, and although his tone has gotten more strident as he has gotten older, he is so clear and logical that I think he must be recognized as one of the greats of our time.

Also, seeing Rich younger, can't you just imagine him as a nerdy English schoolboy with the too-big head who uses big words unnecessarily? I can. :)

  • Are you blind? You only consider him unattractive because he's opposed to your religious lunacy. What a cheap (and fatally incorrect) shot if ever there was one.

  • I think this was based on his book

    "The Blind Watchmaker:

Why the Evidence of Evolution Reveals

    a Universe Without Design

    by Richard Dawkins, 1986"

I admire Richard Dawkins for continuing to publicly denounce religion - we need more people like him.

  • Excellent, thanks for posting!
