  • Can you use an Xacto knife or is the stone too hard?

  • @Geostars You have to use the special hard alloy seal engraving tool, which is available at our BHA store.

  • Do you sell that paper notebook you are holding at the end of the video on your website?

  • @aestheticnine Yes, I do have them available now at our website BlueHeronArts. It's under the paper or the seal section. Thank you for asking.

  • @aestheticnine Yes, I do carry that "nd Chinese Stab Binding Books" on my website BlueHeronArts.

  • May I ask where you can purchase that simple and practical paper booklet you are holding in the last part of this video? Great videos by the way!

  • @RizzoLove The booklet is now available at our website BlueHeronArts. Thank you for your request.

  • @RizzoLove Thanks for asking. The "Handbound Chinese Stab Binding Books" is available at our website BlueHeronArts.

  • what kind of stone do you use? it seems pretty hard, but you can still carve it without braking or chipping your knife. i envy your steady hands

  • @fireclan The stone is knwon as soapstone, it is much harder than a soap but softer than most stones to carve. Thank you for your comments!

  • Why don't you brace that stone against something wooden and solid like a jeweler's bench pin. I've seen some netsuke carvers do that. It would be more stable, and if that sharp carving tool slips it's not gonna jab you in the hand.

  • Hey Henri would it be wrong to carve half the stone positive and half the stone negative to make even more unique?

  • Yes, that is an option.
