I'm a wildlife rehabilitator, and that squirrel isn't tame anymore. They have to be wild before I release them so they don't bother people (and get bothered BY people.)
Same as any object, though a little slowly since they have little hooks on their feet so that they can stick to branches. If you pick them up too fast you can tear their bodies.
I'm guessing you found the squirrel abandoned as a baby and raised it in till it was old enough to live on it's own. I have a friend who does that with squirrels and raccons.
nice caterpillar.. But how on earth did you get those squirls get use to you and go near you? The one squirl that lives in my roof only went on me once. And ate. lol I love squirls. I don't know why but I do!
Those are some of the squirrels I've rehabilitated. They now live in the wild instead of a screened enclosure, and won't come near me now. They were used to me then because I'd hand-fed them formula as babies.

True, except I didn't find them. I'm in a wildlife rescue group and people call a hotline to give us the animals to raise.
The caterpillar wasn't part of the rescue efforts. :)

Keep those squirrels away from those big cats. They love to eat them
CombineWizard 4 years ago
Best keep the squirrels completely away from those big cats. Squirrels relish any caterpillars and pupae/cocoons they come across.
CombineWizard 4 years ago
I brought the caterpillar indoors when I was finished filming... I had them sitting there to get better natural light for the video.

hasekman39 5 years ago
No, I do wildlife rehabilitation. So yes, I have squirrels, but they aren't technically pets as I will let them go free once they are old enough.
