  • LSD without LSD, cool! :DD

It's been a long time since i first heard this effect and i've finally found it, i'll buy it as soon as i can :D

  • soooometimes i feeeeel liiiike, i don't knoooow... :D

  • Nice quarter-inch jacks you got there... :)

  • @theeltea I have no idea how to interpret that. lol!

  • @crxshdxmmy I mean they look nice, rounded and stuff :)

  • @theeltea lol... thanks. Those are my backup cables. Standard Monster's. Not bad.

  • Is this the standard patch? Or did you mod it?

  • @bmwm3cs As I recall, it's the setting suggested in the manual. (See the knob positions... they're accurate.)

  • Is the swell an expression on the shimmer or a volume pedal/ volume knob on the guitar?

  • @IIlIQuANTuMllIl Volume swell on guitar. I've got another demo up where I'm feeding the Space with the 'Swell' delay on the Strymon TimeLine though, if you're interested.

  • awesome <3 <3

  • I got mine today..... SPACE here i come!

  • can the Crystal sound "from pitchfactor" do the shimmer effect of the Spacer Reverb?

  • @ersemola Something very similar, yes.

  • 1 dislike well they don't own a hippopotamus do they.

  • @crxshdxmmy Wow, regardless it sounds great! Have you ever listened to any Vangelis?

  • @DJZeroCash Can't say that I have... but thanks for the compliment(s). :)

  • Great demo! I've got to ask two questions: Can you give us an idea of what you are playing during this video (this sounds like a E Major open position chord ringing out) and is this inspired by anything special or by any artist (sounds like a particular Greek composer I dig)? I've been watching this pedal since it's introduction, and your video is what drove me to pull the trigger on the 'BUY!' Thanks for posting!

  • @DJZeroCash Happy to help. And really, I was just playing some random chords. I could sit down and figure out what they were if you're that interested, but I promise it wasn't anything that exotic.

  • list all of your concerns if you don't mind. i want to know what ill expect if i get it :)

  • i really love that ambient sound. but is there anything close to it for a cheaper price? im planning on buying it this week but i havent seen anything else that has caught my eye for a cheaper price thats just as good

  • Yes i love the Eventide Scape reverb but for the price its too much for me. would you recomend the Bluesky reverb next? i love it alot and i wana get one. and im willing to pay 300 for it. its a beautiful pedal. do you think that pedal would prob be the way to go?

  • @jedzeppelin1000 The BSR is definitely a nice option... but there are some reasonable concerns with it, I feel. If you want more info, feel free to send me a message.

  • this is beautiful

  • Are you getting the swells from the SPACE or do you have a separate swell pedal?

  • @Pickalickin Using the volume knob on my guitar.

  • it sounds fantastic! Great videos bro!

  • i am tempted to spend $500 just for that effect so cool would be great live.

  • @MillerCaster0 The SPACE is great, but there are other pedals that do that sound that'll cost you less. Check out the Octoverb on the Line 6 VerbZilla and M-series, also the Boss PS-3, Strymon BlueSky and TimeLine and the Empress Superdelay.

And while you're at it, check out my channel page that compares the "shimmer" sounds of the TimeLine, SPACE and Superdelay. I also have a PS-3 demo that showcases this sound. Mode 7.

  • @crxshdxmmy Thank you i will definitely check them out.

  • @crxshdxmmy so the PS3 is a great and cheaper option for the shimmer effect... what would u recommend then between this and also having an RV 5 or the Verbzilla? i love the RV 5 and yet still need the shimmer effect... so what would you recommend???? because I'd get the Space pedal because of what it can offer as far as amounts of reverb patches... but all I need is the shimmery effect... your thoughts???

  • @shine777 So you're thinking of adding a PS-3 to your RV-5? That'd work. And IMO, the Verbzilla is the least tweakable "shimmer" effect out there... and thus, for me, the least desirable. But by the time you invest in both an RV-5 and PS-3, you could have a Space for only a little more. Up to you, really. May also want to check out the Strymon Blue Sky Reverberator.

  • @crxshdxmmy well... i already have the RV-5... it does have a setting where it does do some kind of shimmery effect, but not to the extent of the the ET Space pedal for sure... but spending 500 dollars for just one patch doesn't seem feasible... so in your opinion... what would you combine it with? an RV-5 set to the Modulate setting and then _____________.... that's my question really... appreciate your input!

  • @shine777 Yeah, if you're set on keeping the RV-5, check out the PS-3. It's a little toybox of a pedal. Or if you're just trying to cheap out and only want the shimmer sound, grab a Verbzilla. Or, again, consider selling the RV-5 and replacing it with a Strymon Blue Sky Reverb. ($300 new, $250-ish used)

  • @crxshdxmmy thanks for your input... the RV5 i was able to get for cheap... i can't afford the Blue Sky... i kinda wanna keep it to a stompbox like a Boss pedal or the Verbzilla... do u think perhaps combining the RV5 and the PS3 is a good deal or is the RV5 and the Verbzilla is a better combination for that shimmer effect?

  • @shine777 That's the thing though — unless you get a deal, a PS-3 is gonna set you back at least $125. So if you're gonna go for that, you may as well sell your RV-5 for $100 and try to land a used BSR for about $25 more. But, if you're adamant about wanting to just add something, I'd go for the PS-3. It's more flexible and will give you some other tonal options. Go check out my demo of it for more info.

  • i hate to say it but i like this shimmer better than my blue sky....i still like the plate mod better but i just gotta have this freakin pedal....i would probably wet my self the first time i heard plate modulation on the blue sky and the shimmer on the eventide at the same time....man i bet that would sound good

  • @ihaveaverybadcold Yeah, the SPACE's shimmer is a bit more "in the background" than the BSR. Not quite as present in the mix. And the plate on the BSR is quite nice, but you can pretty much nail those sounds with the SPACE. Check out my buddy's channel (mynameizbrian) for a nice comparison video of the Plate and Modulated sounds on those two.

  • This sounds so beautiful, can't wait to try it when I get mine in the mail.

  • Is this a stock preset? If not, can you post the settings?

  • @spooka36 The knobs are the setting you're seeing, actually. And it's a suggestion straight from the manual — Delay @ zero, pitch A & B just above and below 1 octave up, everything else all the way up.

  • Is this a stock setting? If not, can you post the settings?

  • you can show the REVERSE mode please ??

  • @JamBucker Uploaded that yesterday, actually. Check my channel for that and/or the SPACE playlist. :)

  • Thanks for making these videos! I really enjoy them and I hope you keep it up.

  • have you tried the blue sky reverb ? i'm wondering how the shimmer/s compare ? sounds nice crxsh :)

  • @sparrow1133 It's been a little while since I've had the BSR... but they're sorta similar-ish. Obviously, the SPACE is WAY more controllable, but those two are probably the closest out of what I've tried. Very ethereal. (Superdelay, PS-3, M9/Verbzilla, BSR)

  • Beautiful. I guess the Edge tributes will start using this pedal on their board now.

  • @amarr1

Chances of that are high. I still hate shimmer! :D
