On pace to see more than 1 million bank repossessions this year

Who the hell really is Barry Soetoro and dose he think he is Ala or is he just a white man's coffee butler in washington licking the rich white bankers nut sack to make a buck.................One person can't bring down America all by himself so Barry I'll take one lump of sugar in my coffee.

When the Repipukes took over from the Democunts in 1968 (Nixion I'm not a crook) on the basis to end the Vietnam war, how many years passed before the nightmare called Vietnam ended. Same nightmare is going on right now, the American people are too stupid to do anything about it, history repeats.
I think people expect too much. He still has to work with the rest of the corrupt scum we elect to lead ourselves. His youth and background bode well for the majority of Americans. The right wing is going ballistic precisely because they've never felt more genuinely threatened by someone capable of actually nudging us closer to a socioeconomic parity of opportunity. But I agree he has to do much better leading his own party. I think that will come once he has enough political capital.
I disagree with you about Obama and fractional reserve banking. The man has to play politics to get anything done and all of our congress people are wholly owned subsidiaries. Give him time to build up enough political capital by getting us out of the recession and redistributing the tax burden to create a greater parity of opportunity.
The taxing authority of our government is a better store of value than any commodity. This should be obvious from price history alone.
"How about the FACT that he didn't even provide a simple document to prove that he's qualified to be President."
I couldn't care less if he meets some technical requirement. He meets the intelligence requirement, he is a high achiever and appears to offer wise leadership. If you're hung up on something as trivial as whether our currency is backed by a promise or precious metal, or where Obama was born, I'm doubtful you have any real grasp of the important issues that face our nation.
Here's an important issue ! A central bank counterfeiting the value of the "US Fed Note into oblivion" is going to destroy the standard of living for Americans for all time.
Its what happens when you don't follow the rule of law, you end up like a 3rd world dung heap. The Fed just lost track of 9 trillion dollars, you don't see Obuma doing an investigation do ya, fckin hamster.
Emotion over logic. That's how all of you leftists work...
Barry is not a man to be trusted- that's already been proven. You'll see what you've done when future presidents (ones you don't "like" because you don't think they are "nice") are wielding the unlimited power you're handing over to the government every day.
You don't make exceptions, because they are only exceptions for 4-8 years. YOU'LL SEE.
Tell me something, how much non-tax revenue did our government receive last year per capita? Do you even know?
I don't take your comments seriously because they don't convey any real grasp of the overall burden of funding government onto Americans. Would you agree that non-tax revenue kept by the federal government for the general fund is equivalent to a fixed-amount tax levied against every person regardless of age, income, or ability?
Republicans and Democrats are 2 sides of the same coin. Good cop, bad cop. A balancing act aimed at one goal: total government control by manipulation of the masses.
You probably know more about that particular phrase than I do, and he has taken a rather illegitimate stance on the releasing of those "torture" photos (or whatever they were), so there are things in which I fundamentally disagree with him on. However, I think in him taking that stance, he's attempting to reconcile his view point (that torture is fundamentally wrong) with the criticisms raised by the right: the faulty argument of releasing these photos endangers American soldiers.
so what now, are they going to close it or by "transition", he meant transiting slowly to bush, well he's FAR BEYOND bush, but you know what I mean. one of his campaign promises was focusing on closing down Gitmo and now? I don't wanna say that I'm not with, I love the guy, but what's going where?
I hear you, but to be fair you ought to be well aware of the flak he's getting from ideologues all across the country. The left say he's not left enough and the right characterize anything that isn't immediately conservative as "socialist". He's in a lose-lose position here and whether he closes it down slowly to appease a right-wing that would throw him under a bus regardless of this concession, or close it down fast for a left that might not care, he'll still seen negatively.
Lots, both good at bad, if you listen to the news. Lots of spending but also lots of promising things such as the return of science, the return of a president that can articulate a coherent thought (that's always good), the return of a certain amount of integrity (closing Guantanamo, for example), etc. He's not perfect, but he's trying to reconcile this political divide we see plaguing our country and I respect him for it.
Actually I did goto school and pass English with good grades. It's just that I don't get assessed on here you idiot, so if I make a spelling, vocab or grammatical error, who gives a fk.
Wow, corner me with logic, why don't you. By the way, since you evidently missed it, the president made what is called a "joke". He's the president in the "Presidential Suite". Get it? It is also worth mentioning that the president knows how to spell, which is why he has a job and you do not.
Work at 1? No way, you should of start at 9 a.m, teaching the early English class you douche.

Ooh, name calling. Nice touch. Your command of the language does indeed astound. If you want to look like a complete idiot, that's your choice. Enjoy your mediocrity.
Are you suggesting that it is somehow a bad thing to be able to attend an event like that and actually, you know, understand a simple joke? I'm not sure how or why that makes sense in your mind.
And as for a professional attitude ... Whatever you want to call it, fine. I know how to write and spell. You are perfectly within your right to be retarded.
Wow someone with shallow commentary about a non-issue in attempt to justify their own pre-conceived biases, putting forth no effective alternative for the betterment of the purported crisis (ie Obama in Office).
Didn't see that coming. Oh yea, a joke in a fundraiser about the president *gasp* being in a "presidential" suite. The horror!
And that isn't to say that I don't see your comment *now*, but that your comment DID NOT EXIST *before* I made my post to you explaining that it was a joke. Why you would say that you made your comment "already", as if to say that it was there and I somehow didn't read it at the time, is baffling.
You should have stated it within that context. How you phrased it before at the very least made it seem as though you had already said it and I didn't see it. Somehow I don't believe this new comment of yours takes full responsibility of this failure of communication on your part, but I digress.
The problem is not where he stayed, the problem is him coming out and boasting on about it.
If I had just lost my job, or been affected by the recession last thing I'd want to hear is the presidnt telling me about being upgraded to a presidential suite.
Yeah? Did you raise a fuss when you heard about the CEO scumbags who made off with multimillion dollar bonuses while middle and lower class people were getting laid off? My guess is no.
OH, as opposed to the republics, such as McCain that suspended their campaigns to sign onto the bailouts that were PART AND Parcel of this entire package of "stimulated" ceo's?
Whoops. did i catch you in your double-standards??? My bad.
This is not to say that you did *not* go against Mccain for doing that (you may have), however the general point is that your attacks against Obama *without* mentioning the equal side of the GOP is in itself bias, propaganda, and dishonest.
Okay, after viewing some of the videos on your channel (ie vids of George Galloway), it seems that you do not appear to be the type of person that would make criticisms of Obama due to hypocritical ideology (ie GOP), so I was wrong in insulating as such. I'll just chalk this exchange up to a disagreement in ideology.
he wasn't BOASTING about it. The context of his comment was that of a JOKE indicating his elation that before when he was there, he was a candidate and now AFTER, he's there as the PRESIDENT.
In other words, he was expression to whomever that was gathered there a second time with him that they had SUCCEEDED in their endeavor during the campaign. *That* was the context and the point of his joke, not to "brag". You're being intentionally dishonest here.
Yes it is. It's like me meeting a group of people while living in rent, and then coming back a year later and the first thing to come out of my mouth would be I have a mansion.
Very selfish behaviour I think. Perhaps he can use the same joke he said in this video to the families of the american soldiers who have lost there lives in Afghanistan/Iraq. Sure they'd find it a real "JOKE" and be laughing all merrily and happily with the president.
Really? People paying rent? You really think that the audience present here are those who don't are floating from paycheck to paycheck? This is why you're so mistaken on the context: you're not taking into account his target audience. He's addressing affluent people or at least affluent enough to be present at that engagement in *las vagas*. This is what I mean by context and why you were wrong.
You cannot then go on to elaborate the rest of your argument if it is based on this fault premise.
Yes, and he does, but again his audience isn't the American people in this particular context. Rather, it is those attending this gathering. If he was given a national address, then your criticisms would have a lot more merit, albeit I would still disagree, but probably more so because of my internal sensibilities rather than because of an error in your reasoning.
I understand, but as a president, whether national address or talking to fortune 500 companies, there should never jokes of such nature.
If he was a lawyer, speakin to fellow lawyers, or a doctor speaking to fellow doctors, then jokes like that are totally acceptable. But a president shoudln't goto one function and brag about where his staying, then put his face on camera at another function and talk about the hard times Americans are living in. It's double standards if you ask me.
Again, I disagree that it was bragging, in the same way that as a black man, him calling himself a "nigga" is necessarily degrading himself. Sure it might *seem* that way to those who's sensibilities are adjusted like that, but to himself I'm quite certain it wasn't mean in any pejorative, hubris sort of way.
Don't even try with this nimrod. He is simply trying to paint Obama as a guy who is laughing in the faces at those who are having a tough time economically. Anything you say, he will turn into an attack.
No, he's not. Although I do find that authoritarian, dogmatic-like quality in a good number (but certainly not all) of the Ron Paul, Liberatarian, Free-market ideologues, he doesn't seem to display any of these traits. All he did was put forth an argument for what he feels was something OBama did in bad taste and his analysis was not necessarily innately irrational. You can tell that the person is dogmatic when their arguments make no sense and they don't *care*, so it's only after the fact
I have read your comments, and they seem to suggest that you're either tone deaf to humour, a shill for the GOP (you did support Ron Paul after all), or incredibly thin-skinned. In your world, it would never be appopraite for the President to make a joke about the privileges of his office. I think making light of them is a lot better than pretending they don't exist.
Yeah, no kidding. Right now, you can divide Republicans in two camps: crazed bible-thumping self-righteous fucks or Ron Paul conspiracy-theory enthusiasts. In either case, both are bat-shit crazy.
dlacc187, it's very telling that you don't see any mass of republicans gathering around colin powell and david frum as they try to restore the old gop (which was bad enough imo)
Most Ron Paul supporters would call themselves Libertarian, not Republican. He really needs to strike out on his own and distance himself from the mess that is the GOP. The time is right.
Libertarians believe in personal liberty. Ron Paul's social policy is actually more in line with progressives. I don't agree with him on all platforms but he's easily one of the most honest and respectable representatives that we have.
Championing the constitution and personal liberty is NOT bat-shit crazy.

It's a joke. An icebreaker. A way to loosen up the audience. Not everything is life and death.

We're not arguing life and death, just the taste of his humor.

he wasn't BOASTING about it.
NwZ2 2 years ago 2

NwZ2 2 years ago
No I was giving an example, and you've precisely confirmed my point. You speak of him directing "affluent people".
A president is suppose to represent ALL people.
Intervene 2 years ago

"brag about where his staying"
Again, I disagree that it was bragging, in the same way that as a black man, him calling himself a "nigga" is necessarily degrading himself. Sure it might *seem* that way to those who's sensibilities are adjusted like that, but to himself I'm quite certain it wasn't mean in any pejorative, hubris sort of way.

Don't even try with this nimrod. He is simply trying to paint Obama as a guy who is laughing in the faces at those who are having a tough time economically. Anything you say, he will turn into an attack.
lamouchemorte 2 years ago
He might not be laughing at there faces, but I don't think he cares.

You were expecting him to stay at the Motel 6? He's the President of the fucken United States!
fishhead06 2 years ago
Not where he stays, but him bragging about it was the issue.
Intervene 2 years ago
Clearly you can't tell the difference between bragging and joking.
fishhead06 2 years ago
Yeah I can. Because it's the first thing he said when he came out.
I've already talked about this read my comments.

I have read your comments, and they seem to suggest that you're either tone deaf to humour, a shill for the GOP (you did support Ron Paul after all), or incredibly thin-skinned. In your world, it would never be appopraite for the President to make a joke about the privileges of his office. I think making light of them is a lot better than pretending they don't exist.
fishhead06 2 years ago
Yeah, no kidding. Right now, you can divide Republicans in two camps: crazed bible-thumping self-righteous fucks or Ron Paul conspiracy-theory enthusiasts. In either case, both are bat-shit crazy.

They jumped the shark with Terri Schaivo. It's been a death spiral since then.

dlacc187, it's very telling that you don't see any mass of republicans gathering around colin powell and david frum as they try to restore the old gop (which was bad enough imo)

Yeah... the first thing he said when he came out.
... He opened with a joke to lighten the mood.
IT'S JUST A GOD DAMN JOKE!!! How could you possibly be so butthurt over such a tame joke as to getting a better HOTEL ROOM when you become president.
Do you know how many perks you get for being president? Airforce One, The White House, not to mention being the COMMANDER IN CHIEF.
Don't let these harsh times destroy your sense of humor... damn.
