Lol, this is funny cause i go to Southwest Baptist Church in OKlahoma city, OK. ANd if we sang a song like this, it sure wouldn't sound this proper. We sing like southerners majorly! Lol, still sounds good though.
Okay this is my church and the pastor is amazing, there are normally 12 people on stage so the members can know some staff since its a big church and you sometimes loose the personal touch. Pastor Schaap is amazing, he is anything but childish...who are you to say how he should run his service?
@Snowflake1993 I don't know anything about your Pastor, so I will take you word for it that he is amazing. Where I will part ways with you, it that it is his service. The service belongs to God Almighty. Pastor, and all Pastors for that matter, need to see the service is conducted as God leads them to do so.
"And let not thine music be joyful; for thou mayest force thine preacher to bring forth substance. Yea, let him mount the pulpit like a Special Olympics champion, screaming with theatrics unmatched, that his people [having no substance or joy outside of him] may say that truly this is a powerful man".
For thou knowest not the childish feelings of your pastor and the wrath that shall befall you if thou makest him to look lackluster before he spews from the pulpit
Nah, I live close by Hammond and often catch their services on TV. They always have a good number of men sitting on stage. I just find it curious becasue all throuhout my growing up years (before attending church became akin to going to a rock concert) was the pastor, song leader, guest speaker (it there was one), and whomever was going to pray prior to the offering.
Inspirational, beautiful and soul-stirring! Thanks very much for this...
