@WheatThins1 that makes sense then... in his situation i mean i dont think it matters, best bet is to use a net anyways or get it close enough in the water to where you can grab the fish with your hand,. I was using mono and lost a pretty big catfish one time by grabbing the line, I couldn't have lifted it out the water with the rod either. If you watch pro bass fishermen they pull the fish out the water with the rod, it all depends i guess

1. An ARBOR KNOT would be a better choice

2. Don't hold your fingers on the line- have someone hold the spool and keep the line taut that way, using your fingers can cause strength issues with your line.

3. Wrapping the line around the handle is NOT getting it ready to fish, string it thru the guides in the rod and tie on a bait.

4. Don't frickin reel the line onto the spool in real time- that's so damn boring.

im new to baitcasters and i have a question. it seems when ever i use a plastic my line doesnt rap around the reel very tight, which makes the line easer to dig into the spool because baitcasting reels have a horizontal spool, this never happens when im using a rapala or a spinner because there is always resistance on the line when retrieving so it stays nice and tight. help!!

One thing he failed to mention, there's a right way and wrong way to spool the line to keep it from twisting. The source that he states has to be in the proper position before spooling or all that is for not as the line will be twisted.

dude you need to put the line under the spool u want the line to peel off the reel from the top of the spool not the bottom and then when you ty it 2 the spool u need 2 use a slip not you might want to do finde out jow to do it right befor u make a video and have a bunch off anglers doing it wrong
