You know i live in holland and when a fire truck or police or ambulance is coming nobody's stops they just panic what i see here in this video that all the cars stop and let the police pass wow men thats great that could realy save a live cool video
@marcelrotgans you are from limburg or brabant i guess then... because here in the west there are so many emergency services responding everyday that everyone knows what to do
The pure ignorance and inattention of drivers disgusts me. When I was a firefighter, I found that people have a "I got here first" attitude on the roads. I think that departments should be able to use dash-cam footage and mail tickets for failure to yield. Maybe that will cure the ignorant of their affliction.
@LCPDofficerGarcia Actually it is the law, if your a volunteer Firefighter your asking for courtesy! In Maine you can and will be fined. Also if you don't slow down or move to the left (when and if you can safely) when coming upon a emergency vehicle you can be fined! Know the laws before bringing them up!
49-625. Operation of vehicles on approach of authorized emergency or police vehicles. (1) Upon the immediate approach of an authorized emergency or police vehicle making use of an audible or visible signal, meeting the requirements of section 49-623, Idaho Code, the driver of every other vehicle shall yield the right-of-way and immediately drive to a position parallel to, and as close as possible to, the nearest edge or curb of the highway... [and stop]
All of that driving (risking others lives and his) and siren blasting with people not yielding, not to mention soft love song playing the at the end FOR WHAT???
@atatistcheff, Make some more code 3 responses. They are quite enjoyable. And that crown victoria engine is bad ass! Too bad they stopped making them.
@shak0009 Injured people. I'm sure you'll be the first person to sue when your in a accident and hurt and the police and everyone else arrives without lights and sirens. You'll be asking your lawyer what took them so long.
@shak0009 Code3 man, respond with lights and sirens immediately. In the police force if you don't respond with appropriate levels you may actually be suspended by the union.
He is slowing down for red lights, traffic is yielding for the most part (and when it doesn't he corrects his speed), he has straight aways, etc. -- He is doing proper Code 3 driving from what I see. And he probably had the song muted or turned down to nill until he got to scene...Unless you are LEO or someone who has ridden with a LEO during Code 3 like I have - don't criticize. They have a hell of alot more training then you or me do.
@shak0009 You should have to sign a waiver or something so when your in a horrible accident the police, firefighters and emt's have to drive the speed limit and stop at all traffic lights when they are responding to you. You know so they won't be blasting their siren and risking others lives and his.
also Evos and mustangs help when pulling people over. i mean when you see a vic in your RVM your like psss that old piece of shit again i can outrun it... but when you see an evo or a stang you'll think twice about dipping from cops lol
3:04 just PIT the fool. Morons don't understand that the lights and sirens are on because its an emergency situation not a leisurely drive. Sadly, there are alot of buffoons on the road. Especially on I83 where I live. No real place for cops to sit and patrol it. Would cut down on the stupidity if a patrol car was sighted taking pictures.
WHY DO HUMANS DISRESPECT CODE 3 RUNNING EMERGENCY VEHICLES? iF AND WHEN I SEE A EMERGENCY VEHICLE RUNNING CODE 3 AND i AM OON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE INTERSECTION OF WHERE SAY ON MY LEFT BEFOR I SAW THE NEXT ARIVING PD UNIT I WILL PULL OER AND WAITE JUST INCASE THAT OTHER UNIT IS ENROUTE TO SOME OTHER CALL AND MIGHT NEED ME OUT OF THE WAY. @normanmj indeed but Crown Vics have good visiblility, plenty of room, large trunks, and many officers like them. For a 4000 pound beast it goes pretty good. They can keep up with most cars.
Most people say cvpi that police drive are slow gasguzzlers and all that. its not true at all. I used to have a cvpi and it was slow 0-60 was around 8.0-8.5 seconds and you barely felt the power. I recently was in a ride along and i was amazed. It was doing 80+ in a snap. 0-60 was forsure under 7 seconds. Comparing it to my cvpi i used to own was like comparing a camry to a lambo. And for the gas, the whole 8 hours of the ride along it only went down 1 line so he had another 3/4 tank to use, if
noticed theres alot o cops commenting here , just a question to put out to neone , why isnt there a police car designed by police strictly for police use. i know cops consult on them but wouldnt it be a good idea to design and build a cop car with parts already out there and mas produce it . ? or is it cheaper to buy civ cars and modify to suit ? look at the best 4x4 some ford have chev parts and vise versa , im not a car guy just wondering out loud . thanks

In my county we will be going 10-18 (our code for Code 3) and we've sat behind people for like 3 minutes hitting every siren and horn we have and they won't move. In this video there were cars pulled over so far up ahead that I didn't even see them until the camera got closer.
@506jeff as much as I love this idea, do you have ANY idea how many cruisers would get destroyed? lol...i would love the opportunity to ram an asshole that failed to yeild. oh what a day thatd be...
@ReneReaper here it's like when an emergency vehicle hits another car while responding, it has to stop, no matter what call it was and even if they just hit the other car's mirror, they have to stop; then another unit has to take over the emergency
@506jeff what i dont understand is he had a clear lane to pass, why not use it, judgeing from that maneuver he made a :58 he obviously not afraid to go into oncoming lanes when its not necessary what makes a left turn lane any different, there was so many ways he could have used the road to his advantage but he wanted to make sure that EVERYbody went flying off the road into the ditch
@marshall0792 Let me help you understand. The last thing I want is to fly by someone on the left side just as they decide to make a left turn. I need to know they know I'm there and that I'm passing them. That's why we wait until they "fly off the road into the ditch" to pass - after all - pulling over to the right is what the law requires. It's not unusual. The factors vary but it could be an old person who suddenly becomes confused and disoriented and needs to find their bearings, to someone who's being dense and not paying attention or someone has their music up really loud although I would expect them to see the flashing light bar. All in all, that's why officers are trained to exercise due regard when driving code 3.
@tangapirat its not easy per say, but I am pretty sure its easier then the Polizei. For instance, you dont have to know how to drive a standard in the US.
@tangapirat you have to go through college and then police academy. also you need to pass a mental exam. im working on becoming a sheriff at the moment but so far its not so bad. im not sure what the requirements are for germany though
gotta love banging on the steering wheel to change the siren. Thats why my supervisor loves me. My patrol supervisor doesnt have to bang on the steering wheel, instead, he has me control the siren. FUN FUN FUN! :D
Man, there's nothing like the sound of a Crown Vic Interceptor, with the more aggresive shift points and duals, with that big V8 behind it. I can't believe PD's are switching to the smaller platform Taurus and Dodge Chargers. True they somehow produce more HP, but have they forgotten how many times you need that big CV frame to protect the officer from being rammed or needing to pit a Dualie pick up or larger vehicle. Keep the extra HP, most city pursuits don't need a top end over 140mph CV4me.
@michaelx7677 true to everything you said all they needed to do is increase hp if they need more hp but cvpi will always be life savers and will soon comeback fulltime i bet more officers will keep there cvpi as long as they can
@michaelx7677 yeah the impalas are death traps, the chargers look cool but have horrible handling and engine trouble and the taurus and new caprice are just gonna look stupid as hell. fords gonna loose tons of cash after this year. such a shame.
@Trainmasterryan the Caprice may not be thee best lookin' car, but it easily blows the Crown Vic out of the water...packin' a 6.0 V-8 makin' 355 hp and 384 lbs. ft. of tq. and comes with cylinder-deactivation for when you don't need the full power, get's from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds, 0-100 in 14.7 seconds, tops out at almost 150...not to mention the Caprice is roomier on the inside (112 cubic ft. vs the CV's 107)...and gas mileage? the Pontiac G8 with the same engine is rated 15 city/ 24 highway
@michaelx7677 Well the CVPI is a gas guzzler, the 2011 is rated at 14 mpg city(worse then some full size SUVS) second its way outdated, especially compared to offerings from Chrysler and GM, third it only has 250 hp which is a pathetic for a vehicle of its size with a gas guzzling V8. Last its slow, noisy, unrefined, overpriced, underpowered, has sloppy handling & poor brakes. Personally I like the sound and durability of these vehicles but I don't blame the police for moving on to better cars.
@640101vh What they need to do is stop propping up a failed American car industry and start buying cars from places other than America. The average American consumer does it. Why not government agencies?= special interest groups that why..So we the tax payer get the cost of these "noisy, unrefined, overpriced, underpowered, sloppy" shit boxes that most cops don't even like.
Oh I am going to miss the sound of those Crown Vics...TEAR...

Most big Departments in Ca use the Federal Tochmaster. It has a Bitchen tone to it.

is it easy to became a cop in the us?
in germany it is damn hard
tangapirat 1 year ago
@tangapirat depends on what state your in, you could be 3 months or 3 years of training.
gopherhockeyfreak 1 year ago
@tangapirat its not easy per say, but I am pretty sure its easier then the Polizei. For instance, you dont have to know how to drive a standard in the US.
moparmaniac21 1 year ago

Keep the extra HP, most city pursuits don't need a top end over 140mph CV4me.
michaelx7677 1 year ago
@michaelx7677 true to everything you said all they needed to do is increase hp if they need more hp but cvpi will always be life savers and will soon comeback fulltime i bet more officers will keep there cvpi as long as they can

@michaelx7677 thats wat im sayin were all gunna miss that roarin cvpi v8
coty734 1 year ago
@michaelx7677 yeah the impalas are death traps, the chargers look cool but have horrible handling and engine trouble and the taurus and new caprice are just gonna look stupid as hell. fords gonna loose tons of cash after this year. such a shame.
Trainmasterryan 1 year ago 2
@Trainmasterryan the Caprice may not be thee best lookin' car, but it easily blows the Crown Vic out of the water...packin' a 6.0 V-8 makin' 355 hp and 384 lbs. ft. of tq. and comes with cylinder-deactivation for when you don't need the full power, get's from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds, 0-100 in 14.7 seconds, tops out at almost 150...not to mention the Caprice is roomier on the inside (112 cubic ft. vs the CV's 107)...and gas mileage? the Pontiac G8 with the same engine is rated 15 city/ 24 highway
chpman2013 10 months ago
@Trainmasterryan Yeah but you aint gonna see that Caprice when it flys by in all its 6L gen4 glory
Bobbyeagle 10 months ago
@michaelx7677 Well the CVPI is a gas guzzler, the 2011 is rated at 14 mpg city(worse then some full size SUVS) second its way outdated, especially compared to offerings from Chrysler and GM, third it only has 250 hp which is a pathetic for a vehicle of its size with a gas guzzling V8. Last its slow, noisy, unrefined, overpriced, underpowered, has sloppy handling & poor brakes. Personally I like the sound and durability of these vehicles but I don't blame the police for moving on to better cars.
640101vh 1 year ago
@640101vh What they need to do is stop propping up a failed American car industry and start buying cars from places other than America. The average American consumer does it. Why not government agencies?= special interest groups that why..So we the tax payer get the cost of these "noisy, unrefined, overpriced, underpowered, sloppy" shit boxes that most cops don't even like.
