  • my son who is three has pneumonia and i was wondering if he can get it from second hand smoking which his father is a smoker.. i can't under stand how he got this because he does not go to day care or never around other children just very confused please advise me on what i can do to make him feel better thank you..

  • Second hand smoke is toxic to lungs. Your child is more at risk for asthma and lung infections by being exposed to his father's smoking. I am an ER nurse and see the results of this frequently.

  • @kbjaques you are absolutely correct. I am a Respiratory Therapist and I also work in the ER and I see this all the time. It just pisses me off to get the baby/child better then have him/her come back with the same symptoms all because one or both parents smoke...sad.
