  • Jeff is great both versions are great. A song can be sung 1000+ different ways and all can be equally good.

  • I love most everything that Jeff Buckley has done (did)... and I do like this cover but... you can't beat the original. Great song!

  • One beautiful dramatic voice paying tribute to perfection

  • well there is only one morrissey!!

    but jeff buckley is alright.

  • You have to respect Jeffs covers, because, who could copy Grace at full scream ? Not many....

  • how can they (or she) believe me . Believe me when i say thanks for posting this homage> as usual making it his own. We love the smiths equally thank goodness for them both long live the kings

  • Jeff wasn't copying the smiths with this, he was complimenting them, and very well too!

  • muito linodoooooooooooooo!!!

  • Actually I never thought the original did this song justice - this version really brings out just how beautiful the lyrics and the chords really are in my opinion.

  • How did that man shout "Hallelujah" in one syllable? I heard "Grace!"...

  • @charlotte07071

I know this is a late and unnecessary reply lol but if you listen carefully, a guy right at the start goes "Hallejulah", then another guy much louder shouts "Yay!", then someone else murmurs but it's too quiet to hear, then finally Jeff goes "That's too predictable."

  • @GORMLESSwonder

ha! funny I did not notice that... i guess i was trying to get to the song too fast. thanks.

  • 'Hallelujah!'

    "That's too predictable." lol, ace.

  • nothin beats the smiths original, cos morrissey sings it with the most empathy

  • where the hell did you find this?!?!

  • I have found it roaming in the web, but I think you could find it on the remastered version of the Live at Sin-é

  • I'm a huge fan of the Smiths and I love Jeffs covers of The Smiths personally, and I'm usually highly critical of Smiths covers

  • To me and by far Jeff Buckley has made the most beautiful and moving cover of the Smiths's song...

  • Its his own version! Be open minded people. Its cool that he even covered it!!

  • Smiths version is better but who can top them to be honest?

  • not the point

  • @spazabarri Hallelujah and Yard of blonde girls... I wouldn't have been that surprised I he had made a better version, or at least one as good as theirs.

  • @spazabarri ummm jeff buckley. winner winner chicken dinner!

  • @blazeablunt4200

no way! Morrissey's the winner, minus the chicken dinner as he's a vegetarian after all! :p

  • @spazabarri Lets settle this in a DUEL

  • @blazeablunt4200

bring it sir! I shall slice thee from nape to chops! :p

  • @spazabarri there is not much point in covering the smiths but anything jeff did is well worth it, he was so good

  • Jeff Buckley was brilliant and this was a great cover, I dont know if its as good as the origional but I love it nether the less! Great Cover ! :)

  • Totally agree Azria...

  • I like his version better than the smiths, Thanks for uploading this I lost this one

  • Totally DISAGREE! :)
