I have a lvl 26 nelf resto druid and I suck at pvp in bg's...shall I wait till I get at a higher level??If not,in pvp should I use forms to deal dmg or balance spells only?
@virindi73 Haste points have not changed, the 5% is in reference to the haste buffs raids get from various classes like boomkin. Also haste caps are not just for rejuvenation ticks, but all hots.
.... or I guess I'm missing whatever that 5% is referring to. I thought it was MotW, but I had that one when I tested the 915 / 1600 Rejuv... is that 5% mean something else?
i pvp, and it seems like im just rejuv -> mend -> regrowth -> nourish spam and refreshing rejuv, only using lifebloom on myself when i have a melee targeting me. but idk, i guess druids are really pve healers.
@ndmagic9 I have answered this question multiple times, its best to just read my previous responses on this video and the second part to get my opinion on that particular issue.
@caishakalianah I must ask you as a good resto druid myself: Why haven't you specced Naturalist? the 0.5 sec less casting time on nourish and Healing Touch is epic and saves you a huge amount of casting time during a boss fight
@pludderpladder122 It's huge if I ever cast nourish or healing touch, but that is pretty rare. As I've said before, a good raider changes specs based on the fight. Some fights I use a spec with that, but most fights I don't use those spells so there's no reason to have that talent.
@bernardbulte Just like any raider, my specs are tweaked on a per-fight basis. I don't carry naturalist in my standard spec simply because I never a) have time for nourish or b) have to bother with nourish, so its two talent points I can put to better use somewhere else.
I spec into it for fights like Bael'roc (for torment healing) and recently I used it on Heroic Beth'tilac, for healing cave peoples.
hey, I see that you say that spirit is useless because druids are almost always casting but I mostly use lifebloom reju wild growth and swiftment which are all instant spells
It can be very usefull and sinds you say that druids cast a lot and naturalist reduces that cast time than it would be better to take that one to huh?
@bernardbulte I just answered that question in a reply to YOU. I will say it again: I do not use nourish in most fights, as it is a waste of a cast time (both untalented and talented) unless you are tank healing, and most druids are not tank healers. So why would I get a talent that decreases cast time on two spells I hardly ever use? It makes no sense, and those two points are put to better use elsewhere.
Blizzard should name a piece of loot after you. Something like..."Caisha's Tattered Cinch of Awesomeness"...or maybe a trinket like, "Caisha's Empty pack of Hump Menthol Non-Filters"...
I was wrong. its not a talent. its fixed for resto druids to have 50% mana regen while in combat.wowpedia ->Meditation
It sais: Meditation is a passive Healing Specialization which allows mana regeneration from Spirit to continue while in combat.
Now the key here is Intellect AND spirit. The more spirit you have the more you regen. the more intellect you have the more you regen because Intellect boosts spirit regen.....also in combat.
@Toffypops I'm done arguing with you, please refer to my previous comments to people who were also asking about spirit and you will find that I am correct in my stance. I forge extra spirit and haste and crit into mastery almost exclusively, but if there is a fight I have mana issues on (or progression) I will shift that slightly. I have explained all of this before, and I've been quite patient with you.
omg your with Indie :P btw i like your voice only i don't feel like healing anymore on my druid since i already have a holy pally disc priest and resto shaman lol.
@caishakalianah my priest was my first ever high level and i just started playing wow then (wrath, I know I wanted it to be BC) it was a pain..none of the easy leveling people have now. hehe I'll try when she's 85 for now she's a kittycat.
no benefit from spirit when casting?....Havent you specced to let 50% of your mana regen?...Spirit is awesome for druids. you should as a base go for gear that has Stam, Int, SPIRIT and then either mastery or haste. If you have no other gear, you can use a stam, int, SPIRIT and then reforge crit to either master or haste. But you should always avoid gear having "Stam, Int, haste, mastery" type in stats unless these are Rings, relics or offhands.Int regen mana based on spirit at 1-1 ratio aprox
@Toffypops No offense, but if you can show me where that talent has existed (it was taken out in at LEAST wrath, if I recall) then you would make us all very happy! Blizzard changed the way spirit worked ages ago.
But don't listen to me, just talk to Hamlet at the EJ forums, who theorycrafts all of this and states that spirit is the weakest of our stats: "Spirit generally gives around as much MP5 as Int, but gives no mana pool increase and no throughput gain at all."
@Toffypops Rejuv IS based off the gcd, I never said it HAD NO GCD. Listen to what I say please =) I simply mean that unlike Wild Growth, it has no true 'cooldown', so you can cast another immediately after.
Also, rejuv and wild growth ARE our top spells. Meaning they are the most wildly used and heal for the most. Lifebloom does not fall into this category, and while it is important and a very good spell, it still has its limits as far as healing throughput/meters go.
@fuelofmil0 The only thing crit does for us is double our heals. You can maybe get 20% crit, which means 1 out of every 5 spells will be a crit roughly. So its a) very unreliable and you want a stat that can give you more than just one thing, b) since it is so unreliable, most of your crit heals willl (unless tank healing) be overhealing.
It just does you no good unless you can rely on it (which you can't) or if you're a tank healer (which you aren't primarily, ever.)
@Eperjan It's not so much you shouldn't take spirit (on gear or in reforging), just that it isn't the end of the world if you have a piece that doesn't have spirit (I have several myself). Some druids will instead of forging extra haste into spirit, they'll put it into mastery (thats what I do), but others will put it into spirit if they can. Just a matter of play style, you'll figure out whats right for you after awhile! =)
@1tontomato Yes, my gear makes it much easier to hit the needed haste "caps". However, you can hit them in normal (T11) gear if you want to go all haste gems/enchants as well as get the alchemy trinket. This tier has a bit of haste gear, making it easier to get that for the casual raider.
But remember, if you can't get the gear for 2003, go for the one beneath it and put the rest into Mastery!
@caishakalianah Hey, thanks so much for your info. Love your professional manner unlike some of these bimbos who have to cuss to seem cool(more like idiots really.) Your voice is choice, very womanish :D not girly like. Currently I'm gemming Intle/haste combo gems and reforging into haste where I can. Gracias.
Sorry, but aside from crit, its the weakest stat imo. Thats why the vt neck was better, even though it had no spirit. Its a bit like mastery was pre 4.2, you don't avoid it, but if theres something better you don't worry about the loss. Especially now that our innervates are our own.
Also, while the change to crit heals is nice, you shouldn't drop the itemization we have now for it. Keep it balanced.
Spirit is weak? I thought they got rid of the 5sr, so why would Spirit be weak "because druids are always casting"? Spirit was always a strong druid stat, even in WOTLK.
This guide was made with 4.2 in mind, from my experience on the ptr, etc. it is still advisable to keep the soft haste cap of 915 or 2003, and forge the extra haste into mastery like I mentioned.
