I was refused care @ a County Hospital in Jackson Tn. in 2003 The Head nurse told me WalMart and illeagls bankrupted the State Care .I never noticed the illegals going in but going out I seen the illegals being treated and the emergency room full of them .I am Native American !

guess what, here in the Netherlands, they have changed a PERFECTLY working system into the system of the US, and with all respect....its not as good anymore as it was.

The docs and nurses are doing a fantastic job, but that is not the problem, the fact that people are getting uninsured more and more, because the costs are TOO high, and if you dont pay...your insurance stop. We all started out WITH insurance, but more and more lose it now. Its disgusting, sickening.

I was talking to an Egyptian physician the other day and he told me everyone in Egypt gets free healthcare. He sees over a hundred and fifty patients a day which is the limit for doctors in Egypt. Unfortunately he also works over thirty six hours. He told me by the time he finished residency he saw ten times as many patients than the avg. American physician resident.

no, I know what you are talking about, My husband and i pay close to 8000.00 a yr. My husband don't believe in doctors so he won't go to one no matter what. I have lung problems. I have to pay doctor visit out of pocket, co pay on meds went up, 500.00 deduct. my problem in 3 yrs they haven't spent a dime. I have to refuse expensive test because i have to pay 20% of that. They make 8000.00 and don't spend a dime. I pay the deduct and only go every 6mts . They make billions this way.

The question is who is cashing-in those 2 billion gone to Israel every year? What about the money that goes to Colombia to fight the drug war. Americans have been told for decades that we can't afford national health care, yet 9/08 and 10/08, we saw Wall St firms and banks step ahead of us in line and given a blank check. What we CAN'T afford is letting people die. Last month my 53 year old brother in law died of heart failure. He lingered at home for 4 days but couldn't afford a doctor or hospital. He left a wife and 3 children behind. Now tell me, what is the cost to society of 3 children growing up without their father's influence?

Congress approved Social Security Disability benefits for adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries, but made TBI's wait 2 yrs and 5 mos before they get medical coverage under Medicare. My 55 yr old husband incurred a severe TBI 3/07. His injury was severe so he received fast track approval. His work based Disability payments put him $110 over the limit for State Medicaid benefits. I am his caregiver, can't work. We count the weeks until 9/09; pray we don't go bankrupt from a medical emergency

I'm also on SSDD and don't qualify for welfare benifits because I have more than $2000 in savings. They make it very hard to get Disability. Almost everyone is rejected at least once, and you usually have to get a lawyer and appeal. It's easy to get discouraged and give up.

Some people are too stupid to realize the costs to taxpayers of not having socialized medicine. Also, tax revenues from sales taxes and income taxes are lost.

Many Americans don't realize that an adult who is disabled has to wait 2 years and 5 mos from the injury before he can get Medicare. Don't forget about dental care too. It is just as big of a problem. I hope they roll both into one. It's a shame you can't even get your minor cavities taken care of as most dentists won't even allow you an appointment without insurance or the ability to pay the entire fee in cash on the spot.
