We already pay more than double for health care than what other civilized nations pay. I'd trade higher taxes for lower health care rates and more comprehensive and REAL competative insurance coverage, like countries with universal care have.

Considering we have some of the LOWEST personal taxes of civilized nations, I really don't get how people can complain about them. Taxes are GOOD for society, if they've forgotten.

We dont have things like emergency care, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security... If a child gets hit by a car while riding his bike the first thing doctors look for is an insurance card (or cash). If the child has neither on him, they dont waste things like "ambulances" or "doctors" on him, they let the child die in the street.
