@creatureboy100 regular spore was 3rd person. over the shoulder view. not 1st person like CoD and most shooters. but ya the view in darkspore i dont like either. hopefully its a good game though.

i preferred it when spore focused on the lighter side of gaming, why does everything have to be so apocalyptic these days? what happened to all the fun and adventure now it seems every game seems gloom and doom :/ also editor isn't as in depth as the original spores (only covers color and armor), good game none the less, just should have released as a new game not as a Spore brand game

This should be an expansion pack, improving detail, adding new parts and species. I think Maxis and EA are loosing the plot of Spore. Nevertheless, it looks very cool, and I will defiantly add it to my collection of Maxis Games!

Spore was a brilliant concept but not that great a game. this looks like it could be a good game but its such a bland concept. and maxis doesn't do bland rpgs. also, darkspore sounds just like darkspawn, the demons from Dragon Age, which i'm playing at the moment and this simple fact only adds to my skepticism.

@Jai137 why the hell not, The Darksims sounds like an awesome idea. Like The Sims but with edgier expansions. Like The Sims: Zombie Invasion!! Where you have to board up your windows and doors and decide if you risk letting in the zombie plauge by letting in that Panicked Sim. Oh sure she's your BFF and you have that Chemistry, but what if she's Infected, or working with Raiders. Having to deal with all of that while STILL getting a job and education. There could also be other Expansions
