I know others who have said their 4.9L was a pig on gas too. My point was that was a terrible year for those trucks and they lost alot of costomers for good. I don't know what they've changed in their trucks between 87 and 95 but I hope for your sake their made better. When your buying something 14yrs old and fairly cheap I assume, how can you lose?
Mi father was an ingenier in the Ford Motor company of Ecuador. He always tell me that the Explorer sucks but the bronco was a good car. I am thinking just because the fuel economy, my problem is that in Ecaudor a 14 years old bronco costs arround 6000 USD and it is a lot of money!

cool, my uncil just bought a 1989 ford f-250 7.3L diesel for $1,200 and the people who are selling it dont know nothin about pricing and fixing a vechicle the reason there selling it is becouse the window motors went out, and its got a small dent in the door. but there old timers so whatta ya expect.

Also, when he got in a mild accident where the passenger door had some damage, he just used flat black cheap furniture lacker to cover the damage. When he sold it in about '04 it had nearly 180k miles on it and never needed major work done.
dude no its not man the wheels have the old silverado wheels and center wheel hubcap and a s10 would barely overlap the bed. The wheelbase length is way to long for an S10
My dad has an '89 but the chime is very faint now. Probably needs a new one. His is a Lariat though, may be different on the more basic trim levels however. :-)
