  • Foreign cars are a piece of shit? That is why people all over the world prefer Japanese and German cars?

To be honest there's nothing special in American cars, they're just a box that runs on 4 wheels

  • awful transmission -_-

  • not to bad for a car

  • no wonder ur only getting 20.9mpg

  • Do those have a 5spd automatic in them?

  • @crazyforsports1 6 speed auto.

  • i have the 4cyl version of this car :'(

  • do you hold the camera, or someone else?

  • @BlackAstonMartin The camera's mounted on a rig ... it's the only safe and steady way to do it.

  • @mpgomatic ah okay. im surprised to reply to comments. youtube giants usually dont.

  • @BlackAstonMartin But hey, I'm no YouTube Giant! =)

  • @mpgomatic hah dont be so modest, alot of my favorites (which is like 900) are from you.

  • @mpgomatic Any plans to do any newer Fords??

    Focus, Fusion, Explorer, F-150 Ecoboost???

  • @yellowcow13 Yep! We're hoping to review the Focus, Explorer, and F-150 at some point this spring or summer. We did the Fusion Hybrid a while back and I just turned in Lincoln MKZ Hybrid this afternoon.

  • @mpgomatic Great to hear that! Cant wait for another great MPGomatic tour and test drive!

  • I like Ford, but I don't know what these people are talking about ford being cheap and poor people drive ford. Go to a ford dealership and then a hyundai, kia. You tell me who has a cheaper car? Ford has improved so much now they are above the intended working class income!!!!!

  • WOT FTW!!!!!

  • fwd or awd?

  • here's my theory, given the whole debate... I say, if you don't like our cars even though their better then Japanese bull shit, MOVE OUT. Do the country a favor... And maybe you could think about looking at the ecoboost Ford Taurus. 365hp out of a 3.5 will take a massive shit on Japan and YOU

  • @AddictedToStangs haha taurus only has horespower but if you put it to speed it will get beat.

  • @jsnevels2 Shit man...what youtube have you been browsing, Taurus SHO is faster than anything from Japan...search for yourself! When you find something faster, post it here...I bet it costs a bit more and requires a jump start.

  • @scamperator G37 shit man that and yeah cost more but has lees horsepower and doesnt require a jump start look it up on motortrend

  • @scamperator Second who the hell are you to cuss at me first I wasnt talking to you and that comment was 2 weeks ago so you seem pretty stupid to reply to a old comment. And taurus is a great car but im telling you it isnt the fastest thing out there cars with less than 300hp can beat the sho with no problem dude wDH have you been looking at?

  • @mitsubishirocks1 Hmm, I failed to realize that poor people drive $44,000 2011 Taurus Sho's with 365 HP from a V6.

  • @mitsubishirocks1 Well, idk how things are in Asylums, but in the real world, car's are never alive in the first place, so if a Ford is dead there is a big damn problem we don't know about.

  • Was it being pulled by a faster car??

    Or rolling down Everest??

  • that is about 7.2 seconds to 60..Not Bad :D

  • I think the 2.3L is more Mazda and the 3.0 is more ford. I used to have the 2.3L it is just like the Mazda3

  • The 2.3 is a Mazda motor.

The 3.0 is a pure Ford design.

  • @sleeksilver yeah the 2.3 is mazda letting ford use it, and the 3.0 is ford letting mazda use it

  • i'm not much of a ford guy, but i love this car. i think its because its more mazda than ford. so i bought one, and i love it.

  • its more ford

  • no. its not. my family has both.

  • i know the engine is ford, and the majority of interior is ford, nearly all body panels are ford, but I'm pretty sure the trans and suspension is Mazda.

  • trust me, both engines sound exactly the same. and, from what i'm told from my sister, we get about the same fuel economy

  • Becuase is a Ford Duratec, but its made by Mazda and named differently.

  • and its probably designed by mazda too. just renamed.

  • @FordNissanChevy I know in the 2010 Ford Fusion the Duratec 30 is updated significantly by Ford, and the transmission is all Ford. It's the 6F35 Transmission jointly created by GM and Ford but manufactured by Ford completely. The suspension is also designed by Ford supposedly for the 2010 model.

  • @86bmw325i why would it be mazda the companies arent together anymore

  • they were then. and ford is still using mazda's engine, even in 2010. ford just tweaked it a bit.

  • damn this is border line muscle its easy to see why its car of the year

  • thatshow fast my yaris is

  • Comment removed

  • I compare this with the 2010 Fusion 3.0 and this has pretty much no exhaust sounds in comparison to the 2010.

  • I rented on of those with a V6, If you put your foot down at like 25-30mph those things will break your neck haha

  • a lot of ford V6 2.5 or 3L automatics do this, they seem to exactly jump down if you nail it around 25mph, it shifts down right to the top of 1st gear and it really jumps ahead 10-15mph in less than a second. Kind of feels nice. But if you miss it, and floor it around 30mph, then itll just shift down 1 gear and barely feel like accelerating :/

  • WOW, it goes about as fast as my 2001 Toyota Sienna. So, you can keep with minivans in a drag? Nice, that's why I would by a small car with a 3.0L V6.

  • bordenwesly,

My mom has a 2001 Sienna, lmao.

  • They have great engines in them (a whole lot better than the American engines)!

  • I call bullshit on that. The 2.3 (now 2.5), 3.0, and 3.5 duratec engines are just as good, if not better, than the engines Toyota has. The 4.6L in our expedition is a fantastic engine. The 2.2 in my cavalier is a smooth, reliable engine (if not underpowered). And GMs new engines are just as capable as anything coming out of Japan.

  • OK, can you explain how my minivan pumps out 210 hp with a 3.0L V6 and can accelerate just as fast as this car with a 3.0L V6, but with 266 hp? BTW, Chevy Cavalier's have 2.4 L I4's and Japanese engines are the most reliable and get the most power out of an engine.

  • Your a dumbass. Cavaliers were available with a 2.2L OHV, or a 2.4L LD9 DOHC. In 2003 there was the 2.2L OHV and the 2.2L Ecotec DOHC. Show me a video of your mini van doing a 0-60 this fast. By the way, this is a 220-ish HP V6. The 265HP is the 3.5L your thinking of.

  • Look on my page to see a 2001 Toyota Sienna doing a 0-60 run that is just as fast as this, if not faster. And, sorry that I didn't know all of the specs on a Chevy Cavalier.

  • I timed this at a 7.79 and the 2001 Toyota Sienna at 7.67. A sedan cannot even beat an old minivan, even with a more powerful V6. Japanese engines will always beat American engines of the same size.

  • Just answer this for me, which American 1.8L I4 can pump out 189 hp? Let me make this easy for you, none! But wait, Toyota can do it (more power and more reliable)!

  • Yeah... Your 1.8L puts out 132HP N/A, not 189. But you got me with the Sienna. This is a 7.5s, yours is a 7.8ish, with high mileage. That is pretty good, I will admit that.

  • The 1.8L in the Lotus Elise is a Toyota engine and guess what, it puts out 189 hp (look at their website, if you don't believe me).

  • That is a turbocharged 1.8L, not a N/A one, it doesn't even remotely count. Ok here you go.

watch?v=J6eoKJfqlFM&feature=channel_page I would say that hauls ass pretty good for a big ass SUV with a 4.7L.

  • No, it's not turbocharged or supercharged. That's just straight up hp coming from a factory engine with no bells and whistles.

  • OK your right it is stock. However, it is VERY highly tuned, with a redline of 8400RPM. It is a race tuned engine, it is not a stock engine. The Corolla (minus the compressor) was never sold with a 189HP 1.8L. They got the same engine the matrix/vibe got, the 134HP 1.8L.

  • It's a Japanese engine in a production car. Name an American car that can beat it with the same sized engine.

  • Christ you have bigger dick syndrome. How about this, speed isn't everything. Your obsessed with speed/liter. How about this, the Ford fusion hybrid kicks the Toyota Prius ass from here to the moon and back

  • Or one of my personal favorites.

    watch?v=bZjrkXa7u04&feature=channel_page

    compared to

    watch?v=xGPalHB4P-M

Notice that the Jeep 4.0 Inline 4 is an ancient design, from AMC in the 70s. the Tacoma 4.0 is a new engine, and it has to haul over 900lb less, but only has a 1 second advantage over the cherokee? fail.

  • Not to mention the toyota has lik e a 40HP power advantage, and the cherokee has 113k miles on it. All I can say is fail.

  • There is still a fucking shit load of great qualities in fords, you will not find in those foreign peices of shit.

  • Like what?

  • sry i disagree

  • That's okay, everyone is entitled to their own opinion I understand. I don't expect anyone to agree with me. That is just how I feel speaking that all I ever driven growing up was fords.

  • But, Gm and Ford are smartening up man... good news, good cars coming out... the new Chevy Malibu, the Chevy Cruze 2011, the Ford Fusion, the Ford Fiesta, the Ford Taurus (the new one).... good cars coming out.. they just need to do this with their whole lineup.... we need QUALITY

  • my buddy's honda civic SI 06's rim cracked when it hit a curb. never did that with an american made vehicle.

  • umm... better than europe? yeah... better than japan? Eh... no.

  • get updated on american vehicles dude

  • @dalmationxoxo Well imports aren't pieces of shit. I think they have proven their quality. I do agree that domestics do offer more standard features than imports.

  • @dalmationxoxo You sound like a trailer trash. Please shut up. You make the rest of the ford fans look bad

  • i have a duratec 2.5L (cougar), and so far handles excellent. Its only got 30K miles, but my last car (also same car but 2 years older) had 100K miles and still was handing just the same good, I only got this slightly newer car when I spotted it and it had all out options which my old car didnt ;p

  • nice sounding Fusion, I love these cars...check out mine, it's only a 2.3l but it gets up there pretty quick.

  • Its ok, the new fusion hybrid does about the same

  • germans make things complicated.

make parts cost a shit ton.

and make parts hard to get to because they are cocky engineers / dont expect "german" components to break

which is why you should stick with ford.... so your car wont be in the shop 24/7 and cost you a fortune for having a car with a german name

  • @irishhotti2 yeah but fords and other american cars get recalled a LOT more than any other country

  • @flipvideographer Lol, not so. In the past two years, Toyota has had the most recalls, by a huge margin.

  • @irishhotti2 AMEN TO THAT! :-)

  • @irishhotti2 Your correct when say the germans make things" complicated" and parts cost too much. I drive an Audi a4 and it has never once been in the shop in over 70,000. I dont know if im just lucky because the car has been maintained super well. And i dont just drive a german car for the "name" i drive one for the build quality and how safe they are.

  • LOL the Aussie falcon sure comes close....and for such a small fraction of the price of the german car its a way better buy. That and euro cars come over to australia and they fall apart cause they cannot handle a few rough roads. That and the euro parts are stupidly expensive...

  • I'm doing high 5's in my stock 4cyl, and it weighs 3200lbs!

  • lol who u tryin ta bullshit my friend has this car in 6cyl and it does nowhere near high 5s... stop lyin

  • Well I have vids to prove it. Oh ya did I mention its turbocharged? N yes I do it in 5.58 seconds.. I dive a hhr ss turbo not a fusion.

  • dude no offense but the hhr is the ugliest lookin thing on the planet i mean its nice to have a car do 0-60 in under six but at wat price my aunt had 1 as a rental it was about the most uncomfortable thing ive ever been in

  • I agree that the hhr is ugly. The SS however is much better looking. Its interior iis different the suspension is completely different from the regular hhr. My driver seat has 8 different power settings including lumbar support. Go check out my vids you may feel different just like I did.

  • maybe it looks nicer and has a better suspension and it fast and has power seats... point is i literally had trouble being comfortable in the passenger seat and im only 6 ft 200 lbs

  • Well I am 6foot 2inches and weigh 190lbs and I find the passenger seat comfortable. All the cons aside I am extremely happy with my car. 30mpg freeway 260hp, flat folding back seats, style and comfort ect, ect. I say it was a smart buy!

  • Not too bad! I did expect more from the v6 tho! I was thinking sub 6sec! Not 8!

  • It is still faster than you think Sit inside one on take off. It will rock you back in your seat. I love the fusion, it may not be remarkable. But the v6 will still pack a punch. Esspecially when passing. It does the trick.

  • anybody who thinks this car is slow has fucking problems cause its good for a sedan geez its not a god damn sports car.

  • I smoked a couple of my friends in their V6 fusions with my 2002 3.0L audi a4 waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay long ago

  • my lincoln was in the shop so they gave me one of these. originaly i was pissed i was thinkin "oh great ford focus big brother" then i seen it said v6. it has duals, so i was pulling out the dealer and i floored it and i'll be damned if that lil SOB didnt take the fuck off! its a pretty decent car and suprisingly fast.

  • 8sec to 60mph.. thats good..

  • Yeah, not too bad for a grocery go getter

  • i Think its more than a Grocery getter.. and basically every car is made to put things in it. so yea.. you mine as well say every car is a grocery getter. mainly the reason why we have cars is to go places and transport things such as grocery's...

  • the 263 hp sport is coming camry se ha ha ha fusion is now a better car

  • sorry but the v6 camery does not do 0-60 under 6 seconds maybe 6.1 pushing it to the max in the manual one, boring looking on top of that

  • lol the speedo is deceiving... looked a lot faster than it actually was.

  • You're just jealous because Ford is on top right now and everyone knows it.

  • Learn to read Ford Fan Boy.

  • Lol kid. First of all, yes I do like Ford the best. But I also like GM and Chrysler. That proves that I'm not a Fan Boy. Second, you had -5 thumbs down on the comment. You've probably never even driven a Fusion because the 24v 3.0 is that fast. So quit crying and go watch weak Toyota videos bitch.

  • I like your comments "PowerLiftingMenace user"

  • Thanks man.

  • I'd rather get a Mazda6 . I tried it and I didn't like the interior and the sound. Also the cluster isn't that good and the sound system is mediocre. Just because you like something else doesn't mean you are not a fanboy. Nothing proves that you are not a fanboy. All we know is that you are just aying that... Also, 24v is old news. I'd rather look at VVT and a couple other things thats in an engine. Nearly all v6 have that too.

  • Ford's 3.0 V6 (that is installed in the Fusion) has VVT in addition to 24 valves...It's as high tech as any other modern V6

  • yeah i know that. But I was making a point that so what if it has 24 valves, that shit is old news.

i know it has vvt because since the mazda 6 has that this would to because they are nearly the same engine.

  • General Motors makes a new 3.0 V6 and it has 24 valves, VVT, and direct injection (DI). It makes 264hp.

  • Direct Injection from the General...it's good stuff.

  • sounds like a camry. lol

  • that was kinda cute but i'd rather be peeling rubber in a new v6 camry doing 0-60 in under 6 seconds. =)

  • Yea, doubt that but look at the 2010 fusion sport model. Beat ur camry all day long.

  • FORD power all the way

  • Hell Yeah!

  • Kevin is right, the new Ford Fusion Sport will kill the camry. That is a 260HP 3.5L V6, with Fords excellent 6 speed automatic, the camry doesn't stand a chance. The fusion is better quality than the camry anyway. And way less boring.

  • Oh I hsbr my facts straight, YOU get yours. Toyotas quality has dropped significantly in past years, while fords has increased by leaps and bounds. Have you not seen JD Power and consumer reports (amazingly CR since they are pro-foerign) Have rated ford as equal to honda and toyota when it comes to quality and reliability.

  • Actually the Fusion did better overall and was rated higher than the Camry. The accord still beat it tho...Dont think that toyotas are unbeatable cuz they most certainly are

  • Ford is on par with Toyota bitch

  • i agree camry only has take off but the fusion has speed were can u get a fusion that goes 200

  • @rudolphna54 The Camry is a 3.5L V6 as well with 268 hp with a 6 speed automatic as well. Ball is in your court bud.

  • not bat all all roughly 7.2 seconds thats not bad for bone stock fusion

  • Stomping on the pedal the first time was an eye-opener. :)

  • That's actually about 7.1 seconds.Not bad.

  • my dads fusin is cool his is custom.

like paint bodykit exaust tv stero and it has 400 horses (not stock ingine)

  • why do you guys keep comparing this to sports cars? guess wat.. it isnt

  • lol ford fusions are sports cars

  • yeah i guess lol

  • that with the rev limiter off it only go's up to 4000 rpm ..stock

  • 8 seconds......0-60 i thought they were quicker than that, that sucks.....

  • Its claimed at 6.7 seconds. Not bad at all for a sedan that came out in 2006. Better than most at its price range.

  • your judging the whole car based on the instrument cluster?

  • Yeah why not? It will give some evidence of the make quality.

Also I have also noticed that the gear change is very clumsy...

  • Not at all. The gear changes are very smooth, they just sound like that. My uncle has one, and I test drove one the other week. Also, some people find the instrument cluster to their liking. To each their own, as they say.

  • I did not say the changes are rough, I said they were clumsy or slow.

    Anyway Ford sucks...

  • They weren't very slow. You want a smooth, fast shifting auto, look at the auto in our expedition. When not under WOT shifts are seamless and very fast.

  • If you wan't a smooth but fast shifting auto look at a S-tronic in a Audi. ..

  • Sorry but that would require to me to actually buy an audi. I will stick with american unless its a BMW.

  • German cars>American cars

  • German cars= Less Reliable than American cars, especially VW Group. (VW, Audi, Porsche). Also, German cars= More expensive than american cars.

  • Totally disagree. I wonder if you have ever been in a car rather than an american car?

  • Yes, I have. Actually. And its not an opinion, look it up. VW is one of the most unreliable brands, only slightly better than Land Rover, which was at the bottom of the list. And you cannot sit there and tell me that BMWs, Audis etc are cheaper than Ford, GM, and Chrysler cars.

  • BMW's are also junk. I had an 04 mini. Once the warranty ran out that peace of shit broke constantly

  • AUDI,,, LOL,, who wants to pay THAT much for a car....Oh wait I know,, Yuppy..lol

  • Audi rules

  • or u could go american and buy a faster more sleek lookin sts-v

  • more like 7.8 sec.

  • As fast as a 2.5 Altima.

  • na a little faster

  • not really .. maybe off the line

  • two of my best friends 1 has a 2.5 altima the other a fusion v6... the fusions a little faster and i like the fusion better on a whole... although the altima isnt a total piece of shit anymore so i'll give nissan props

  • yeah, definitely more like 7.8

  • 6.3 seconds timeeeeed
