@Khris0221 She has a personality to back up that smile. She hasn't had any issues yet, that I am aware of, in or out of school. Some people will look at her, out of curiousity, but it is primarily very little kids. Sometimes it is actually cute on their part.

You can't see her up close, but she loves to dance and it just attests that children with disabilities can grow up being happy, social and very NORMAL.
@SaltwaterAir1 Her upper jaw (midface) is hypoplastic (recessed back), therefore, she will have a midface advancement next summer (phase 1 or 2 phases). It will pull her upper jaw forward. The second phase they will again pull the upper jaw forward and push her bottom jaw backwards, to align up the teeth and jaws as best as they can. She just started orthodontics last week, to prepare her for that surgery next summer.
Hey Careyb112, You have to ignore all the rude comments. You have a beautiful family. My wife and I have a 6 month old Healthy thorugh and through and I panick If I cant hear her breathing at night. I can't imagine what you have went through. You are clearly brave and I give credit to your whole family. There are some people who do nothing but post crap on peoples videos, looking to see if they can upset them. All I can say is, "get a life". I know how happy my family is and how complete it is with Lindsey in it. Congrats on the new baby! TOO: having a child that talks GREAT, is an AB honor roll student, has been dancing for 10 years, plays inline hockey, has lots of friends, and has NEVER complained about her life, not once!.....I feel blessed to have her in my life. Lindsey goes to Camp Boggy Creek in Eustice Florida. She goes with the cranial facial kids every year. There is even a summer camp for a week.
i go to Camp About Face in indiana every july.. it lasts a week. its reallyy fun i love it.. ages 8 to 18(: you should look into it. everyone ahs a good time.. and we have a dance, and awards and donor day.. i love it

Came across your video, she is absolutely has grown in to a beautiful girl u are very lucky to have her. As a mother of a special needs lil boy he has gone through so much as well to get where he his now. These kids are lil miracles, but with out great parents god knows where their progress would be. @stuperman697 Will be seeing the surgeon soon, so hopefully he will give me some idea. She will be starting high school next year, so I don't think it will be done by then. Probably next summer, if she is orthodontically prepared by then.
@stuperman697 We went to see the surgeon last week and he needs for her to be orthodontically preped first. We are waiting for one more tooth to come down so that we can start moving things around to the best possible position. However, she is missing three of her front four teeth and her upper jaw bone is really short, so she doesn't have alot of room. I will be anxious to see what they can do with braces prior to surgery.
@careyb112 I had to have major reconstructive surgery myself on my upper jaw and lower jaw. It's amazing what they can do. I hope to hear great news on how everything goes.

Hey Careyb112, You have to ignore all the rude comments. You have a beautiful family. My wife and I have a 6 month old Healthy thorugh and through and I panick If I cant hear her breathing at night. I can't imagine what you have went through. You are clearly brave and I give credit to your whole family. I admit, I was very Ignorant to this and am glad you made this video, Shows that families can overcome Anything!! Glad she is healthy and well!!

Thank you for the words of confidence. The few rude remarks that we have gotten don't bother me. There are some people who do nothing but post crap on peoples videos, looking to see if they can upset them. All I can say is, "get a life". I know how happy my family is and how complete it is with Lindsey in it. Congrats on the new baby! I still listen to my kids breath, my son is 17, so I can't say that you will stop doing that anytime soon!

awesome song!! my sis had a cleft lip and palate (and other health problems as well) but she had the other type of cleft lip, i cant remember what it is called but the one where it only affects one side, and we both dance as well :) your daughter is amazing and i hope she never feels 'different' :)

@crapricot YOU DON'T KNOW HOW REAL I AM! To have a child that you are told will never be able to talk and will be mentally challenged, due to the severity of her medical problems. TOO: having a child that talks GREAT, is an AB honor roll student, has been dancing for 10 years, plays inline hockey, has lots of friends, and has NEVER complained about her life, not once!.....I feel blessed to have her in my life. Sorry you don't feel that way, too bad!

There are lots of parents with sick children, that are looking for "anyone" walking in their shoes. @amberlovesbvb That is very sweet of you to say, but I am sure you were just as cute of a baby and she are definately a pretty girl. Where is the camp that you go to? Lindsey goes to Camp Boggy Creek in Eustice Florida. She goes with the cranial facial kids every year. There is even a summer camp for a week.

i go to Camp About Face in indiana every july.. it lasts a week. its reallyy fun i love it.. ages 8 to 18(: you should look into it. everyone ahs a good time.. and we have a dance, and awards and donor day.. i love it

Came across your video, she is absolutely has grown in to a beautiful girl u are very lucky to have her. As a mother of a special needs lil boy he has gone through so much as well to get where he his now. These kids are lil miracles, but with out great parents god knows where their progress would be. @stuperman697 Will be seeing the surgeon soon, so hopefully he will give me some idea. She will be starting high school next year, so I don't think it will be done by then. Probably next summer, if she is orthodontically prepared by then.

@stuperman697 We went to see the surgeon last week and he needs for her to be orthodontically preped first. We are waiting for one more tooth to come down so that we can start moving things around to the best possible position. However, she is missing three of her front four teeth and her upper jaw bone is really short, so she doesn't have alot of room. I will be anxious to see what they can do with braces prior to surgery.

@careyb112 I had to have major reconstructive surgery myself on my upper jaw and lower jaw. It's amazing what they can do. I hope to hear great news on how everything goes.
