"The Promised One of all the world's peoples hath now been made manifest. For each and every people, and every religion, await a Promised One, and Baha'u'llah is
that One Who is awaited by all; and therefore the Cause of Baha'u'llah will bring about the oneness of mankind, and the tabernacle of unity will be upraised on the heights of the world, and the banners of the universality of all humankind will be unfurled on the peaks of the earth.",
As Baha'is do not believe in any covert or overt actions against their governments, all we can do is to pray that God would guide the hostile and arrogant people and then, we continue to expose the atrocities and inhumanity that is taking place in Iran in the name of Islam... But these cruel fanatics should be on notice that from Chengiz Khan to Stalin and Hitler to Iddi Amin and Saddam Hussein, nothing will remain but a revulsion from an enlightened populace. Light always overcomes darkness.
@ MillerGenuineCraft One example of circumstances people might find themselves in which do not permit cleanliness, is that of many Baha'is who have found themselves imprisoned for their faith in Iran. The prison might not be clean, they might not be clean, but they still continue to pray.
Let us pray that the persecution of Baha'is in Iran will stop - many, imprisoned purely because of their faith, have lost their homes, their possessions, their right to education, to work and even their lives.
@ MillerGenuineCraft As a former Christian (before becoming a Baha'i) I am aware that cleanliness is considered next to godliness. However, despite what Baha'u'llah says, He does also make exceptions, which allow for those who, or circumstances which, do not permit cleanliness.
With respect to laws, these change according to the needs of the time. For example, in the time of Moses "an eye for an eye" but when Jesus came He said "turn the other cheek". God, our Creator, knows what is best for us.
John McCain is a good man, despite some bad policy ideas. The international response to Baha'i persecution in Iran has been tame, whimpering at best. How many more Baha'is must be ruthlessly slaughtered before the international community takes action?
The Iranisn people are a handsome people and most capable.. If the Mullas and the elesiasticals. would get out of the way, Irans would become a most advanced country, a leader among the nations.
The Blessed Beauty, Baha'u'llah, the Glory of God, is the Spirit of Truth foretold by Jesus, when He said, "Ye cannot bear it now", the Comforter, the Promised One of all religions. "This is the changeless Faith of God, eternal in the past, eternal in the future."
In the book of Murphy's Law , in the chapter dealing with research, Methleys theorem states that; 'If the facts don't fit the theory, new facts must be found. ' I wonder what the new new version of the King James Bible will produce. Jesus also states, regarding 'government' quote 'render unto Ceaser those things etc, and further he states that His kingdom is not of this world. (John18:36)
Methaphor or not,the next verse in Matthew10:35 confirms that He did come to bring peace.
"My sheep know My Voice" Jesus said. A study of the words and language of Baha'u'llah reveals the same Divine Voice, except to those with ears who cannot, or will not, hear... This Blessed Beauty spent 40 hard years in prison and exile to tell us that "Nothing short of the unity of the entire human race will suffice to heal the ills which afflict mankind." "This is the changeless Faith of God, eternal in the past, eternal in the future."
Nay, rather, such water cannot but intensify the burning of the flame, and such blasts cannot but ensure the preservation of the lamp, were ye to observe with the eye of discernment, and walk in the way of God’s holy will and pleasure.
These are the words of Bahá'u'lláh
Something which comes from God cannot be extinguished by human hand! Everything they try to do to destroy will only increase the advancement of God's Cause. Persecution of Baha'is increases global awareness and sympathy.
@sisterelena You should know that along with beautiful writings like these, Baha'u'llah wrote sexist and cruelly violent laws in the kitab-i-aqdas. And some strange ones like this:
-Should the garb of anyone be visibly sullied, his prayers shall not ascend to God, and the celestial Concourse will turn away from him. -Baha'u'llah. paragraph 76, Kitab-i-Aqdas
@MillerGenuineCraft To stand before your Bride in a state of filth is unbecoming to the adored of your heart. You will be rejected, unless you have been forced, imprisoned, or restrained from ablutions So, too, conversation with the very God of Creation requires purity and preparation to enter HIS PRESENCE in a state worthy of attainment to His Holy Court, freed from the defilements of the world. This is sound reasoning...
Consider Moses!...Surely you are aware of the fierce opposition of Pharaoh and his people, and of the stones of idle fancy which the hands of infidels cast upon that blessed Tree. So much so that Pharaoh and his people finally arose and exerted their utmost endeavor to extinguish with the waters of falsehood and denial the fire of that sacred Tree, oblivious of the truth that no earthly water can quench the flames of Divine wisdom, nor mortal blasts extinguish the lamp of everlasting dominion.
@IslamicFollies O YE THAT ARE FOOLISH, YET HAVE A NAME TO BE WISE! Wherefore do ye wear the guise of shepherds, when inwardly ye have become wolves, intent upon My flock? Ye are even as the star, which riseth ere the dawn, and which, though it seem radiant and luminous, leadeth the wayfarers of My city astray into the paths of perdition.
O SON OF JUSTICE! Whither can a lover go but to the land of his beloved? and what seeker findeth rest away from his heart’s desire? To the true lover reunion is life, and separation is death. His breast is void of patience and his heart hath no peace. A myriad lives he would forsake to hasten to the abode of his beloved. “God the All-Glorious”
2 of 3 ... He is, and hath ever been, veiled in the ancient eternity of His Essence, and will remain in His Reality everlastingly hidden from the sight of men... He standeth exalted beyond and above all separation and union, all proximity and remoteness..
that invisible yet rational God Who, however much we extol the divinity of His Manifestations on earth, can in no wise incarnate His infinite, His unknowable, His incorruptible and all-embracing Reality in the concrete and limited frame of a mortal being. Indeed, the God Who could so incarnate His own reality would, in the light of the teachings of Baha'u'llah, cease immediately to be God.
I gave you quotes from Baha'ullah where he claimed to be GOD with reference to the book of his and page number. I am still waiting for your insight because he CLEARLY states that he is GOD time after time and you tell me that he never claimed to be God. I am just wondering what SCRIPTURES have you been reading?
The very short answer to such misunderstanding, comes from the Bahai belief in the dual nature of all of Gods Messengers and Prophets, being on the one hand human, with all the limitations and frailties entailed, and on the other hand, being Manifestations of God, in that God speaks through them to the rest of humanity. In Them, we hear His voice (and not Their own), and through Them, we see His power and majesty and all His other attributes.
They can be seen as the mouthpiece of God, or as a hollow reed totally empty of self or identity, of selfish impurities or desires, carrying to us the voice of God in utmost purity.
Regarding His own relationship to God, Baha'u'llah testifies:
When I contemplate, O my God, the relationship that bindeth me to Thee, I am moved to proclaim to all created things "verily I am God"; and when I consider my own self, lo, I find it coarser than clay!
Similar allusions occur in most of the divine books including the Holy Qur'an. Referring to the pledge of Ridwan (before signing the Hudaybiya Treaty) we read in this verse of the Qur'an: "Lo! those who swear allegiance unto Thee (Muhammad), swear allegiance only unto God. The Hand of God is above their hands". It is understood by all who read this verse that it does not mean that God became incarnate in the person of Muhammad,
but rather this pledge was taken through the Prophet on behalf of God. It is understood the same way these other verses are understood: "Whoso obeyeth the messenger hath obeyed God" and "And thou (Muhammad) threwest not when thou didst throw, but Allah threw" * and others, or the Hadith " Who hath seen Me hath seen Al-Haq (The Truth)" , where Al-Haq is one of the names of God.
Which Hadith are you referring to? Please provide the source because there are lots of claims that Baha'ullah has made in his many of his books regarding Mohammad and they are all false. Please provide the Hadith that claims this saying of the Prophet Mohammad.
As for the allusions in the Torah and Evangel, we see the name of the "Savior" or the Promised One is given as the "Lord of Hosts" and "He Who comes in the name of the Lord" , and if we did a quick search on the Internet, we find quite a few Muslim sites positively identifying this with the Personage of Muhammad.
And whether the verse points to prophet Muhammad or someone else, these people don't accuse that Person of claiming to be an incarnation of God, but assume that all would understand that "He Who comes in the name of the Lord" is a messenger from God, speaking on behalf of God.
Interestingly, people have for millennia accepted that the voice of God can come to us through a Burning Bush, yet we continue to resist the idea that the vehicle can take the human form, the most noble of all of Gods creation !!
Or, is it that "truly many of mankind are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord" ?
Bahai women are not allowed to serve on the sect's highest governing body, the Universal House of Justice (UHJ). This ruling is based upon authoritative interpretations of Bahaullah's words and scriptures by Abdul-Baha. I thought Baha'i faith taught equality for both men and women?
Again, we see the discrimination against women just like the discrimination against the Jews. This Faith calls on unity of all faiths but fails to unite the Jews, therefore; it is not Universal.
"For instance, you see the blacks in Africa who are in fact cows that God has created in the shape of human beings, and then you see the blacks of America, who are smart, civilized and cultured. Visiting schools and assemblies of blacks in Washington, during this trip, and having extensive discussions, they could understand my points like the smart Europeans."
WHAT? "Cows that God has created in the shape of human beings"?
@MrHolyGoat - That phrase, according to my search, cannot be found in any of the works of Abdu'l-Baha translated into English, even in part. I can only conclude one of three possible options;
1. It is a misquote, deliberate or unintentional
2. It is entirely made up
3. It is an unauthorized translation from an unknown source, of an unknown and uncited document.
Unless you can provide me with a fourth option that I have not thought of.
@MrHolyGoat - Furthermore, even on the off chance that it is authentic, your objection seems to be to the analogy, of animalistic behavior not being due to their ethnicity, but due to a lack of education.
I don't think education being the source of civilization as opposed to race is a particularly offensive notion, rather an obvious conclusion made at a time when frankly the more popular notion was that black people were inferior and animalistic by inherently, not by condition.
If you are unable to share the faith with the Israelites, it makes your faith not to be Universal - that is not the TRUE definition of the word Universal. There are no other faiths that discriminates against certain group.
NO other faiths that discriminate against certain group??? Are you serious, my friend? Check out the blatant persecutions of Baha'is in Iran and Egypt. Check out the persecutions of Christians and Jews in Iran and then say there is no other faith that discriminates against certain group.
I am talking about your FAITH telling you strictly NOT to share your faith with the ISRAELITE that is called discrimination against a group. Whatever the Iranian government or the Egyptian government is doing with the Bahais has nothing to do with ISLAM. My religion does not say not to teach the Israelites or other groups.
My Faith tells me strictly to follow the requirements of the gov't of the country I am in, period. That is the ONLY restriction my Faith puts upon me.
Iran and Egypt are Theocracies, governments controlled by officials thought to be divinely guided -- and so YES, it has everything to do with Islam, sir!
They may not follow the spiritual teachings of Islam, but they say they do. That is crystal clear to anyone aware of what goes on there.
If you are aware of the ONLY restriction that your Faith puts upon you, you must also ADMIT it doesn't make your faith Universal too because you are into limitation.
Sir, I think you are confusing the UHJ which is thought to be divinely guided and protected by God. We Muslims don't have divine governments, this is against the teachings of Koran.
How many times must I say this requirement of not teaching Israelites is a requirement of the gov't of Israel and not our Faith - and our administering institutions require that we follow the laws of the gov't of the country we are in, period. It, in no way, is a requirement of our Faith not to teach Israelites, but a requirement of Israel itself. I do teach Israelites of the Baha'i Faith, those residing in North America who request information.
Wasn't Baha'ism supposed to abrogate all other religions and unite all humanity, including the Jews of Israel? Then why discriminate and exclude Jews from the eternal happiness and peace that converting to the Baha'i Faith brings? Or perhaps Jews, according to the Baha'is are not worth being saved? Thus, this cannot be a Universal religion and Unity which it claims is false.
Again, I repeat for your benefit, the fact that the Baha'i Faith is not taught to seekers in Isreal has nothing whatever to do with the Baha'i Faith and everything to do with the requirements of Israel itself. The Baha'i Faith is for all peoples, as the Writings state very clearly. Please study the Faith before making further outlandish statements.
Again, your God Baha'ullah has said clearly to not share the faith with the Israelites therefore it is not for all the peoples even if it claims to be. It is that simple.
First, Baha'u'llah was not God, never claimed to be and the followers of the Baha'i Faith have NEVER made such an outrageous claim.
I do not believe that Baha'u'llah ever said not to teach the Israelites of the Word of God and I beg you to point me exactly where He has said this. I trust you have not taken HIs words out of context. I know you can't show me because you're unable to answer my question asked 3 times now. You are simply repeating what others have said with no background knowledge
"There is no God but Me, the Honoured, the Wise." (Kitabe Aqdas, page 42)
"There is no God but Me, the securer, the regulator. Certainly We have sent the prophets and revealed the books." (Kitabe Aqdas, page 58)
"The God of eternity is in the prison." (Iqtedarat page 36)
"Surely I am God. There is no God but me, the Lord of all things. Everything other than Me is My creation, then O My creation you worship Me." (Tajalliyate Baha, Tajalli 4)
This is a Bahai principle that the END has occurred not Islamic or Christian. We know for fact that Bible and the Holy Quran disagrees with Bahaullahs claims about the return of Jesus. Furthermore, the Holy Quran clearly states that Mohammad (PBUH) is the final Prophet and that the religion of Islam is completed for the Human Kind. Christians and Muslims believe that Jesus has not come yet and he will make his return on the Day of Judgment, therefore; Bahaullah is a false prophet.
Ahhh, simply because YOU believe something, that makes it true? I seeee... interesting.
Yes, the Qur'an does state that Mohammed was the Seal of the Prophets, just as Baha'u'llah has confirmed. However, no where in the Qur'an does it state that Mohammed was the Final Messenger, and He does quite clearly differentiate between "prophet" and "messenger". Rather arrogant, don't you think, to believe that God would send Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammed.. and then stop because you say so?
This is not about what I BELIEVE, this is what the Quran tells us that Mohammad is the final and last Prophet and the religion of Islam is completed, therefore; there is no need for another Prophet to be sent. When God says that your religion is completed, there is no need for further Prophets. The only Prophet that we believe will come is Jesus.
yes, and Jesus came with the advent of the Baha'i cycle.
You say in one breath that Mohammed was the final prophet, and yet you await the coming PROPHET (your word) of the return of Jesus... very strange.
You seem to choose to ignore difficult concepts -- like the difference of a 'prophet' and 'messenger'. Third time I'm asking for bad things from the teachings of the Baha'i Faith, you ignore.
Please, let us not argue, but respect one another's beliefs - time will tell!
We are waiting for JESUS but both in the scriptures of Christians and Muslims it is mentioned that he will make his return at the day of Judgement and that day has not come yet but Baha'is think otherwise that the Judgement day has come already.
I asked you about the position of Bahaullah, can you refer to the quotes that I pasted a few minutes? Please clarify the position of Bahaullah for me.
If Israel didnt even existed when Bahaullah went there, why are you Bahais are not still able to preach your faith to the Jews? Why dont you have your protests in Israel and fight for your religious rights as you do in Egypt and Iran? This is the 21st century not the 1800s for you not to be able to share your faith. As a Baha'i, why don't you complain to the UN and get your basic religious rights?
The is entirely due to respect for the government of the country. It has nothing to do with the Baha'is. Individual Baha'is DO HAVE basic religious rights in Israel, just as do Muslims and Christians -- quite different than in Egypt and Iran where Baha'is are prevented from obtaining social services for which they pay through taxation!
a Zoroastrian messiah predicted in various late Pahlavi texts; from Shi'a Islam the return of the Third Imam, Imam Husayn; from Sunni Islam, the return of Jesus (Isa).
He is simply a false Prophet according to Bible and Quran because Jesus will make his return at the day of Judgement and that is when the World ends. Thus, his claims about the "Spirit of Truth" and "Jesus" is false. The spirit of truth was Mohammad and Jesus has not returned yet according to the scriptures of both faiths.
Well, your interpretations are YOURS; they differ from mine. Baha'u'llah is NOT a 'false prophet', as you say. The End has occurred; it was the end of a cycle and now the Baha'i cycle has begun. I encourage you to read two small but meaningful books: The Kitab Iqan, by Baha'u'llah; and Thief In The NIght, by William Sears. These will show proofs of Baha'u'llah's mission. If you choose to twist the Message, for sure you will be able to fool some of the people some of the time.Very sad if you do
One thing comes strongly to mind in your messages here-that is, you are trying with great effort to refute all aspects of the Baha'i Faith. And so I wonder what you fear. If it is not true, if it is not real, it will disappear as others have in the past.I have attempted to respond to all your comments, however I made one query of you and you have not answered that: From the Writings of the Baha'i Faith, show me one thing that is bad, please-remembering that a bad tree cannot give forth good fruit
Bahá'u'lláh's eschatological claims constitute six distinctive messianic identifications: from Judaism, the incarnation of the "Everlasting Father" from the Yuletide prophecy of Isaiah 9:6, the "Lord of Hosts"; from Christianity, the "Spirit of Truth" or Comforter predicted by Jesus in his farewell discourse of John 14-17 and the return of Christ "in the glory of the Father"; from Zoroastrianism, the return of Shah Bahram Varjavand,
The Bahai Faith seeks to mislead humanity under the garb of being a Universal religion. Its laws even today are not globally applicable and depending upon its convenience, the UHJ releases edicts from time to time. If the Faith were truly global, then these laws would have been equally applicable to all individuals from the time of Bahaullah itself. Otherwise what this means is that Bahaullah left a legacy of an imperfect, evolving faith to his successors, which debunks the Bahai Faith's claim.
Mislead? Now... my understanding is that the law are today globally applicable, but I could be corrected on that. No, it does not mean that Baha'u'lla left an imperfect legacy at all. What it does mean is that humanity is imperfect and needed to be slowly, patiently and lovingly introduced to new concepts for their future betterment, in order to carry out an ever advancing civilization.
Bahais must have a clandestine arrangement with Israel that in exchange of the permission to reside in Israel, the Bahais would not try and convert any Jews? And it is interesting that only Jews living in Israel are off-limits for Bahai missionaries. Christians and Muslims living in Israel are welcome targets for Bahais to introduce their 'Universal' doctrine.
Clandestine? There is NOTHING secretive about it at all. One of the most holy locations of Islam is located in Israel, the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. The most holy spots of Christendom are located in Israel. The Islamic world exiled Baha'u'llah and his family to Israel BEFORE Israel existed, therefore our world centre is located there.
If the Bahai Faith, as it so claims, was the religion which came to unite all the religions, then why not the Jews of Israel? Are they not worthy that they be introduced to the Faith? When Moses (a.s.) who came to rescue Bani Israel did not make exceptions for Israelites, then how can a faith that is purportedly superior to Judaism make exceptions for them? In fact, this would make Judaism superior to the Bahai Faith.
You are obsessing on something that is nonexistent... where, please tell me, do you get this outrageous idea that anyone is superior to anyone else? Everyone is worthy to be told of the Word of God, however there is agreement with the Israeli gov't not to teach in Israel... this is a political decision by the gov't of Israel, not a spiritual decision!
The Baha'i faith teaches the unity of all religions and that all religions came from God. Why would send Krishna, Buddha and Zoroaster to preach something totally different from his other Prophets (Moses, Jesus, Mohammad)? The differences between Hinduism, Buddhism and Zoroastarism is far from the Abrahamic Prophets and religion. This is why these Prophets (Bahau'llah, Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster etc) are FALSE Prophets because their concept of God, life and after life is far different.
The source of Divine Knowledge is one and progresive reveal for the exigencies of the time.. such as instruction children received at an early age cannot compare for the education he received in university, we cannot now read the book of primary education and say it is not good,,for a baby we gave milk not meat GOD IS LIGHT HE DOETH WHAT HE WIILEFT
For a Baha'i, the proliferation even of cults and practices that may arouse aversion in the minds of many serves primarily as a reminder of the insight embodied in the ancient tale of Majnun, who sifted the dust in his search for the beloved Layli, although aware that she was pure spirit: "I seek her everywhere; haply somewhere I shall find her."
Know that there are two kinds of knowledge: the knowledge of the essence of a thing and the knowledge of its qualities. The essence of a thing is known through its qualities; otherwise, it is unknown and hidden.
As our knowledge of things, even of created and limited things, is knowledge of their qualities and not of their essence, how is it possible to comprehend in its essence the Divine Reality, which is unlimited? ... Knowing God,
therefore, means the comprehension and the knowledge of His attributes, and not of His Reality. This knowledge of the attributes is also proportioned to the capacity and power of man; it is not absolute.4
The spiritual teachings of Krishna, Buddha and Zoroaster are the same as Jesus, Moses and Mohammed. It is the outward appearances that differ, and these to accomodate the culture and time in history that the spiritual teachings are brought. "Waiotahi52" is correct... "time will tell", if you have the time. You will know them by their fruits, sir... a bad tree cannot give forth good fruit -- pls investigate the core teachings and tell me where they are bad.
He is a false prophet and was supported by the Russians and the Jews. That is why today, you as a Baha'i are not allowed to teach your faith to an Israelite.
Not sure what you mean here... how is support by the Jews and Russians a reason why Baha's don't teach their Faith to Israelites??? Not exactly correct, I can teach to an Israelite, just not inside the borders of that country.. to me, that would mean not supported by the Jews -- but Isreal is very happy to have the world centre located in their country. I'm afraid your comment is nonsensical, sir... perhaps you can clarify, please?
Judaism and Christianity introduced laws that were aimed at the entire Bani Israel. Laws applied to every Israelite without exception. However, this feature is absent in the Bahai Faith, which claims to be the new Universal religion. The Bahai Faith is still not a Universal religion and even considers the Jewish order to be superior to it.
The term "Bani Israel", that's an Islamic term, isn't it? Let's refer to the Jewish people in their terms, not others, okay? The laws of the Baha'i Faith apply to every Baha'i... I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here... cuz I have followed the Baha'i Faith for 15 years now, studied it pretty deeply, and NO WHERE have I ever seen reference to considering the Jewish order superior to ANYONE... we are all one, over and over it says so in the Baha'i teachings.
Bani Israel simply means children of Israel which is no different than Israelites which means The Twelve Tribes. The Abrahamic faiths we know that Judaism and Christianity introduced laws that were aimed at the entire Bani Israel, laws applied to every Israelite without exception. The fact that Bahais are not allowed to share faith with Israelites does not make it Universal.
The fact that Baha'is are not allowed to share faith with Israelites -- IN ISRAEL -- has nothing whatever to do with the Baha'i Faith -- it is a requirement of the Israeli government.
Why don't you protest against your religious rights? Israel is unlike Iran or Egypt, you have your full rights in there as human beings and you should have your religious rights just like Christians and Muslims. We live in a 21st century not the 1800's for you not to be able to share your faith with the Israelites.
Baha'ullah says that Moses, Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Mohammad were all manifestations of God (meaning perfect mirrors of God) but according to Moses, Jesus & Mohammad non of them claimed to be manifestation of God. In fact, according to the Judaism and Islam, it's a blasphemy to compare a Prophet or another human being and make him equal partners or call him "perfect mirror" of God. God is unseen, how can these Prophets be like God? Baha'i' ideology is like Christianity.
When the simple, humble people went to their religious leaders and asked about the truth of Christ's Mission, they were told that He was a false prophet. They were warned against Him. Even though Christ showed signs and wonders that attracted people, the leaders still denied Him. This is shown clearly in the words: (tn 201:2)
When Bahá'ís say that the various religions are one, they do not mean that all the creeds and organizations are the same. Rather, they believe God has revealed Himself through a succession of Divine Messengers, Whose purpose is to guide and educate mankind.
They are expressions of a single unfolding Divine purpose, "the changeless Faith of God, eternal in the past, eternal in the future."
Krishna, Buddha, and Zoroaster are far different from what Jesus, Moses and Mohammad taught. The concept of God and the fundamental in the unity of God is different too. Why would God mock himself through Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster and the through the Ibrahamic Prophets?
The Bahá'í belief in one God means that the universe and all creatures and forces within it have been created by a single supernatural Being. This Being, Whom we call God, has absolute control over His creation (omnipotence) as well as perfect and complete knowledge of it (omniscience).
Although we may have different concepts of God's nature, although we may pray to Him in different languages and call Him by different names--Allah or Yahweh, God or Brahma--nevertheless, we are speaking about the same unique Being.
Baha'ullah is a false Prophet. He claimed to be the universal Prophet/God (Jesus, Imam Husyn, Krishna, Buddha, Avatar, and Zoroaster). According to Islam and Christianity, he is a false because both in the Bible and the Holy Quran Jesus's return will be in doom's day, it wasn't in the 1800's.
Baha'ullah's grave is in Haifa Israel. Baha'i's are not allowed to teach the faith to the Israelites (Jews). Why? You can preach Islam, Christianity, Hinduism in there why not Baha'i?
Some Prophecies referring to the 2nd Coming literally fulfilled by Baha'u'llah: A. Place of His Coming: Carmel and the Plain of Sharon shall see Him. (isa 35:1-2) B. Where He Comes From: From Assyria and the fortified cities.. (mic 7:11) C. How He Would Come: As a thief in the night (2pe 3:10) and unexpectedly (mat 24:36) D. Come With a New Name: (isa 62:2; rev 2:17) and His New Name is "Glory of the Lord (Baha'u'llah in Arabic)" (isa 35:1-2)
F. Accompanying Events (less specific): Gospel preached throughout the world (mat 24:14) Wars and rumor of wars.. (mrk 13:7-10) terrible troubles (dan 12:1) (tef 24:9)
Baha'u'llah spent 40 years AS PRISONER exile from country to country ,beaten ,poison , betrayed, beaten,ect..if it was not from God How could it be ALONE a prisoner conquer millions of hearts around the globe
Thecooldude303: alright, how are we "copying Islam" in a way that Islam isn't "copying Christianity" or Christianity isn't "copying Judaism"?
Seriously, considering how many times I've personally defended Islam from people claiming it's just copying Christianity and Judaism it's amazing to me that someone who calls themselves a Muslim would imitate the same people who attack his own faith.
islaim doesnt copy christianry and judiasm because 1. islam belives jesus is a prophet of god (pbuh) 2. islam doesnt belive jesus is a false messiah like the jews do. 3. islam doesnt belive jesus was a god or prophet of god. bahia faith is a teaching its not a reliogn its a teaching by bahullah. AND bahuallah is not the mahdi which he claimed he was the mahdi of islam didnt come yet. bahia faith does the smae teaches of islam exept there is no hell and their is surley hell for disbelivers.
Thecooldude303: You are incorrect, Baha'u'llah never claimed to be the Mahdi. The Mahdi was Siyyid Ali-Muhammad-i-Shirazi, the Bab. Baha'u'llah is the Masih.
And let's apply your same logic: 1. the Baha'i faith teaches these Messengers were Manifestations of God, 2. we believe in the Bab and Baha'u'llah, which you do not, and 3. the Baha'i faith teaches that there IS a hell, but that it is not a physical place but a spiritual state of being: distance from God.
Thecooldude303: But see, all you're saying is that because you disagree with their dogmas that it's not copying the religion, and the Baha'i faith doesn't ascribe to many of the man-made dogmas regarding Islam either.
But like Islam, we share the same root in holy scripture. Just as Islam acknowledges the Books which came before it, so do we acknowledge the Quran. Our relationship with Islam is not much different than Islam's relationship with Christianity, except less violent.
Thecooldude303: the faith of the Bab came before the revelation of the Baha'i faith.
As for if Islam is the truth, the short answer is "Yes." The long answer is that the revelation of Muhammad is from God, as are the revelations of Christ and Moses and all the other Prophets and Messengers.
Now if you read the Quran, it refers to the Prophets and Messengers of the past, saying that they were Muslims and their religion was Islam, even though their Books predated and differed from the Quran. This is to say that though these are different "faiths" they are part of the same one changeless faith.
In this sense, the Baha'i faith IS Islam, and Islam is Baha'i, for while it is a new Book and a new dispensation, it is still submission to God.
All of those governments are credible organizations who understand the goodness of the Faith and have given their nod of approval. Baha'u'llah was a Messenger; he left a book. Moreover, He was a Manifestation of God, just as were Abraham, Moses, Christ and Mohammed. If you are a true seeker of truth and study the record of His revelation you will recognize truth when you see it. A bad tree cannot give forth good fruit.
Religion: Institution to express belief in a divine power.
Yes, my friend, by definition, The Baha'i Faith IS a religion. And, as such, has been accepted by many governments around the world. You may not think of it as a religion but the Canadian gov't, the American gov't, the British gov't, the Australian gov't, the Indian gov't -- and so many more have given the Baha'i Faith full credit as a bona fides religion.
even though i did not find anything extraordinary about this religion except they put their prophit next to god like and shies , neverthe less why should they get procecuted and tottured for thier belif, iranian regim needs to be changed to a democratic one that regardless of religion every one be treated equal.
How can people in high places be so thick? Never in the history of any of the former religions has persecution done anything than further the cause and promote that religion. I live on the other side of the world to this and people are asking me what the story is with 'these Bahai's'. They get to hear about the Faith. God does indeed move in mysterious ways. Do they really believe they can stop this Religion?
Very disturbing :( Hope for secular Iran freedom of speech & religion and equality to all the citizen. The good news is that people of Iran have realized and finally were chanting in support of Baha'i & Zardoshties in recent demonstrations. FREE IRAN for all the Iranians.
you ask too much questions ,and have very little faith in god and the messengers all you all need to do is believe in god and you may find what your looking for but religion is not just for ones needs and wants. god will reach out to everyone.
I am so glad I came across this video. There is a misguided attitude amongst Iranians that the Baha'is were treated fairly under the Pahlavi reign but this was not the case. Baha'is in Iran have NEVER had freedom of religious expression and practice.
My question is... why are there no women in the higher ranks of the organization if you believe in 'equality' of men and women.. When I discovered this, I wondered, what other 'inconsistancies' there were.
We're told the reason will become clear with time. At the moment, however, whatever anyone says is complete speculation, sorry. You say "in the higher ranks" but, in fact, it is in one place only and that is the Universal House of Justice. Women take their places at the very highest ranks of every other aspect of the Faith. My own personal opinion is this is a bounty to us women; members of the House of Justice take on a highly stressful and time absorbing service.
I think we must be careful not to confuse 'equality' and 'sameness'; they are two very different things. Equality refers to opportunities and responsibilities. It's obvious that men and women are different and have different capacities, therefore their duties will not be the same. Their duties must, however, carry with them an equal portion of opportunity and responsibility. Contemplation on this may prove there is no inconsistency, as you suggest.
Thanks! I often say I had a 'Bahai heart' before I became a card carrying member. Even though I am no longer a 'member',I think I will always be Bahai 'inside'
acadia0 If you believe in Baha'u'llah be steadfast! ONE DAY WE WILL KNOW why!
For everyone GOD has a test! This one must be yours! There is a reason and we will know in time. As you can see presently women are taking more important roles in society. IBELIEVE eventually women will be in charge. MY BELIEF is that the UHJ will balance that out! GODBLESS
Ahmadinejad plotteth, and God plotteth,.And God is the best of plotters. The religions founded by Moses, Jesus or Mohamed were not destroyed by the leaders in their day, the persecutions simply fanned the flames of belief higher, what makes this leader think he is any different. The baha'i faith is not going away, in spite of his best efforts. Time will tell wether this Religion is from God or not.
"Religion is the outer expression of the divine reality. Therefore, it must be living, vitalized, moving and progressive. If it be without motion and nonprogressive, it is without the divine life; it is dead. The divine institutes are continuously active and evolutionary; therefore, the revelation of them must be progressive and continuous. All things are subject to reformation." ~ Abdu'l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 140
"inachu", perfect insight! Correct, there is no difference between Christianity, Islam and Judaism, in the spiritual teachings~The great Prophets (eg. Jesus, Mohammed, Moses, Abraham) came from God to deliver same truth to mankind. Baha'i Faith, the most recent step in this progression and Baha'u'llah the most recent Messenger. Spiritually, all Religions of God carry same spiritual truths--changing laws and practises are a reflection of an ever-advancing civilization and maturing of mankind.
Baha'i's believe that Muhammad, Jesus, Abraham all came to us with a message from God. The founders of these religions had similar messages so essentially our religions would be similar. BUT, the Baha'i Faith isn't as old as the others and the others have split up into different denominations and have had different interpretations made by mankind that make that make us different. We're not the same. Do some more research.
The usual anti gay bigotry plaguing religions, which calls homosexuality:
An "Immorality", "condemned in Baha'u'llah's writings ", "not a permissible way of life", An aberration subject to treatment."
A polygamist founder pontificating on "equality between the sexes" and on "the unity of mankind" while surrounded and succeeded by family quarrels, blood feuds, Azalis, Covenant Breakers®, and schisms of various sorts that persist to this day.
So muc trouble in the world these conqueror religions never have ceased and continue to oppress and persecute others based on their colors and religion! I am sure their God is so ashame of them and I know that! Respect humanlife, Spread the love..Its what god is!

Islam was forced to people in the past. Even Mohammad peach be upon him struggling to convince his people close to him. This is historical fact. Now you want to say that you have the power to make this kind of judgment? be careful not to curse yourself and your future family with this kind of actions. Lets God be the judge and you just practice what Islam teaching. Be content and be good to others. you don't need to defend the cause of god. God is very capable!
why you have so much hate! what made you are so right? When Christ was suffered, the Jewish community were so sure he wasn't a messenger of God. Even after 2000 years still they don't believe in him. There is no difference between them and you.
As we see the newest findings that prove that modern Catholic religion is not a real and realistic, we Jews won't believe in Jesus and Some other names!!!
sanatclara, not only your are idiot, you have no sole. How dare you call yourself a Muslim and treat other human been like this. You are nothing but a fundamentalist and you know nothing about god.
Interesting, you say you've read about its history? The founder of the Baha'i Faith wrote over a hundred volumes of books...which one(s) have you read? Because someone, such as yourself, would not "want to judge the book[s] by [their] cover[s]."
At least you have one thing right... God is the greatest. But how can say things like this and consider yourself a holy person? I do not agree with all of Mohamed's teaching's but I doubt he would look kindly on your actions and words.
I am not holy...What the hell makes you think that I claim of being holy.I am nothing before AL'LAH(JAL'LA JALALEH).But when it comes to defend my faith against heathens I will never retreat one single step:I am telling you "ONE SINGLE STEP".WE MOSLEMS DO NOT FEAR ANYONE BUT AL'LAH '(JAL'LA JALALEH).And you can not EVER interpret or judge our Holy Prophet`s deeds or teaching.JESUS WILL BE THE JUDGE BETWEEN MOSLEMS AND the worshippers of cross.Until that day you have time to repent as AL`LAH
And you will be judged for your hateful words. Bahai's are good people and have every right to choose their faith. I will fight to protect their lives, and their freedom.
"Take heed that ye do not vacillate in your determination to embrace the truth of this Cause--a Cause through which the potentialities of the might of God have been revealed, and His sovereignty established. With faces beaming with joy, hasten ye unto Him. This is the changeless Faith of God, eternal in the past, eternal in the future. Let him that seeketh, attain it; and as to him that hath refused to seek it--verily, God is Self-Sufficient, above any need of His creatures. "
so this is the Iranian persecution of their version of the Jews? This video tells me nothing of what you believe or who you believe in.

Let us pray that the persecution of Baha'is in Iran will stop - many, imprisoned purely because of their faith, have lost their homes, their possessions, their right to education, to work and even their lives.
sisterelena 11 months ago
@ MillerGenuineCraft As a former Christian (before becoming a Baha'i) I am aware that cleanliness is considered next to godliness. However, despite what Baha'u'llah says, He does also make exceptions, which allow for those who, or circumstances which, do not permit cleanliness.
With respect to laws, these change according to the needs of the time. For example, in the time of Moses "an eye for an eye" but when Jesus came He said "turn the other cheek". God, our Creator, knows what is best for us.

@IslamicFollies In neither the Jewish book nor the King James, does ‘son’ have a capital s. ‘and the government shall be upon his shoulder'

These are not mentioned in the Gospel

@sisterelena You should know that along with beautiful writings like these, Baha'u'llah wrote sexist and cruelly violent laws in the kitab-i-aqdas. And some strange ones like this:

3 of 3 mr holygoat Shogi further write:
that invisible yet rational God Who, however much we extol the divinity of His Manifestations on earth, can in no wise incarnate His infinite, His unknowable, His incorruptible and all-embracing Reality in the concrete and limited frame of a mortal being. Indeed, the God Who could so incarnate His own reality would, in the light of the teachings of Baha'u'llah, cease immediately to be God.
pinabarryscott 2 years ago
@ AuntieMame9,
I gave you quotes from Baha'ullah where he claimed to be GOD with reference to the book of his and page number. I am still waiting for your insight because he CLEARLY states that he is GOD time after time and you tell me that he never claimed to be God. I am just wondering what SCRIPTURES have you been reading?
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
The very short answer to such misunderstanding, comes from the Bahai belief in the dual nature of all of Gods Messengers and Prophets, being on the one hand human, with all the limitations and frailties entailed, and on the other hand, being Manifestations of God, in that God speaks through them to the rest of humanity. In Them, we hear His voice (and not Their own), and through Them, we see His power and majesty and all His other attributes.
papijoon 2 years ago
They can be seen as the mouthpiece of God, or as a hollow reed totally empty of self or identity, of selfish impurities or desires, carrying to us the voice of God in utmost purity.
papijoon 2 years ago
Regarding His own relationship to God, Baha'u'llah testifies:
When I contemplate, O my God, the relationship that bindeth me to Thee, I am moved to proclaim to all created things "verily I am God"; and when I consider my own self, lo, I find it coarser than clay!
papijoon 2 years ago
Similar allusions occur in most of the divine books including the Holy Qur'an. Referring to the pledge of Ridwan (before signing the Hudaybiya Treaty) we read in this verse of the Qur'an: "Lo! those who swear allegiance unto Thee (Muhammad), swear allegiance only unto God. The Hand of God is above their hands". It is understood by all who read this verse that it does not mean that God became incarnate in the person of Muhammad,
papijoon 2 years ago
but rather this pledge was taken through the Prophet on behalf of God. It is understood the same way these other verses are understood: "Whoso obeyeth the messenger hath obeyed God" and "And thou (Muhammad) threwest not when thou didst throw, but Allah threw" * and others, or the Hadith " Who hath seen Me hath seen Al-Haq (The Truth)" , where Al-Haq is one of the names of God.
papijoon 2 years ago
Which Hadith are you referring to? Please provide the source because there are lots of claims that Baha'ullah has made in his many of his books regarding Mohammad and they are all false. Please provide the Hadith that claims this saying of the Prophet Mohammad.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
As for the allusions in the Torah and Evangel, we see the name of the "Savior" or the Promised One is given as the "Lord of Hosts" and "He Who comes in the name of the Lord" , and if we did a quick search on the Internet, we find quite a few Muslim sites positively identifying this with the Personage of Muhammad.
papijoon 2 years ago
And whether the verse points to prophet Muhammad or someone else, these people don't accuse that Person of claiming to be an incarnation of God, but assume that all would understand that "He Who comes in the name of the Lord" is a messenger from God, speaking on behalf of God.
papijoon 2 years ago

MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
That person is the infallible Abdul Baha saying:
"For instance, you see the blacks in Africa who are in fact cows that God has created in the shape of human beings, and then you see the blacks of America, who are smart, civilized and cultured. Visiting schools and assemblies of blacks in Washington, during this trip, and having extensive discussions, they could understand my points like the smart Europeans."
WHAT? "Cows that God has created in the shape of human beings"?
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
please are u reading bahai books beware beware can u quote where and what book had u read that please
papijoon 2 years ago
@MrHolyGoat - That phrase, according to my search, cannot be found in any of the works of Abdu'l-Baha translated into English, even in part. I can only conclude one of three possible options;
1. It is a misquote, deliberate or unintentional
2. It is entirely made up
3. It is an unauthorized translation from an unknown source, of an unknown and uncited document.
Unless you can provide me with a fourth option that I have not thought of.
PeterJDeer 1 year ago
@MrHolyGoat - Furthermore, even on the off chance that it is authentic, your objection seems to be to the analogy, of animalistic behavior not being due to their ethnicity, but due to a lack of education.
I don't think education being the source of civilization as opposed to race is a particularly offensive notion, rather an obvious conclusion made at a time when frankly the more popular notion was that black people were inferior and animalistic by inherently, not by condition.
PeterJDeer 1 year ago
If you are unable to share the faith with the Israelites, it makes your faith not to be Universal - that is not the TRUE definition of the word Universal. There are no other faiths that discriminates against certain group.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
NO other faiths that discriminate against certain group??? Are you serious, my friend? Check out the blatant persecutions of Baha'is in Iran and Egypt. Check out the persecutions of Christians and Jews in Iran and then say there is no other faith that discriminates against certain group.
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
I am talking about your FAITH telling you strictly NOT to share your faith with the ISRAELITE that is called discrimination against a group. Whatever the Iranian government or the Egyptian government is doing with the Bahais has nothing to do with ISLAM. My religion does not say not to teach the Israelites or other groups.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
My Faith tells me strictly to follow the requirements of the gov't of the country I am in, period. That is the ONLY restriction my Faith puts upon me.
Iran and Egypt are Theocracies, governments controlled by officials thought to be divinely guided -- and so YES, it has everything to do with Islam, sir!
They may not follow the spiritual teachings of Islam, but they say they do. That is crystal clear to anyone aware of what goes on there.
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
If you are aware of the ONLY restriction that your Faith puts upon you, you must also ADMIT it doesn't make your faith Universal too because you are into limitation.
Sir, I think you are confusing the UHJ which is thought to be divinely guided and protected by God. We Muslims don't have divine governments, this is against the teachings of Koran.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
How many times must I say this requirement of not teaching Israelites is a requirement of the gov't of Israel and not our Faith - and our administering institutions require that we follow the laws of the gov't of the country we are in, period. It, in no way, is a requirement of our Faith not to teach Israelites, but a requirement of Israel itself. I do teach Israelites of the Baha'i Faith, those residing in North America who request information.
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
Wasn't Baha'ism supposed to abrogate all other religions and unite all humanity, including the Jews of Israel? Then why discriminate and exclude Jews from the eternal happiness and peace that converting to the Baha'i Faith brings? Or perhaps Jews, according to the Baha'is are not worth being saved? Thus, this cannot be a Universal religion and Unity which it claims is false.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
Again, I repeat for your benefit, the fact that the Baha'i Faith is not taught to seekers in Isreal has nothing whatever to do with the Baha'i Faith and everything to do with the requirements of Israel itself. The Baha'i Faith is for all peoples, as the Writings state very clearly. Please study the Faith before making further outlandish statements.
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
Again, your God Baha'ullah has said clearly to not share the faith with the Israelites therefore it is not for all the peoples even if it claims to be. It is that simple.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
First, Baha'u'llah was not God, never claimed to be and the followers of the Baha'i Faith have NEVER made such an outrageous claim.
I do not believe that Baha'u'llah ever said not to teach the Israelites of the Word of God and I beg you to point me exactly where He has said this. I trust you have not taken HIs words out of context. I know you can't show me because you're unable to answer my question asked 3 times now. You are simply repeating what others have said with no background knowledge
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
Baha'ullah was God:
"There is no God but Me, the Honoured, the Wise." (Kitabe Aqdas, page 42)
"There is no God but Me, the securer, the regulator. Certainly We have sent the prophets and revealed the books." (Kitabe Aqdas, page 58)
"The God of eternity is in the prison." (Iqtedarat page 36)
"Surely I am God. There is no God but me, the Lord of all things. Everything other than Me is My creation, then O My creation you worship Me." (Tajalliyate Baha, Tajalli 4)
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
Is Bahaullah God?
Bahaullah: "No by God, the Lord of the Mighty Throne, My Signs have encompassed the earth and my power enveloped all mankind'."
Bab: Days are the Days of God Himself, referring to Bahaullah.
Bab:"To Him Christ referred to as the Comforter, the Son of Man who shall come in the Glory of His Father."
Bab: "in the year nine you will attain the presence of God". Shoghi has claimed that this prophecy was fulfilled by the advent of Baha.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
This is a Bahai principle that the END has occurred not Islamic or Christian. We know for fact that Bible and the Holy Quran disagrees with Bahaullahs claims about the return of Jesus. Furthermore, the Holy Quran clearly states that Mohammad (PBUH) is the final Prophet and that the religion of Islam is completed for the Human Kind. Christians and Muslims believe that Jesus has not come yet and he will make his return on the Day of Judgment, therefore; Bahaullah is a false prophet.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
Ahhh, simply because YOU believe something, that makes it true? I seeee... interesting.
Yes, the Qur'an does state that Mohammed was the Seal of the Prophets, just as Baha'u'llah has confirmed. However, no where in the Qur'an does it state that Mohammed was the Final Messenger, and He does quite clearly differentiate between "prophet" and "messenger". Rather arrogant, don't you think, to believe that God would send Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammed.. and then stop because you say so?
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
This is not about what I BELIEVE, this is what the Quran tells us that Mohammad is the final and last Prophet and the religion of Islam is completed, therefore; there is no need for another Prophet to be sent. When God says that your religion is completed, there is no need for further Prophets. The only Prophet that we believe will come is Jesus.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
yes, and Jesus came with the advent of the Baha'i cycle.
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
We are waiting for JESUS but both in the scriptures of Christians and Muslims it is mentioned that he will make his return at the day of Judgement and that day has not come yet but Baha'is think otherwise that the Judgement day has come already.
I asked you about the position of Bahaullah, can you refer to the quotes that I pasted a few minutes? Please clarify the position of Bahaullah for me.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
If Israel didnt even existed when Bahaullah went there, why are you Bahais are not still able to preach your faith to the Jews? Why dont you have your protests in Israel and fight for your religious rights as you do in Egypt and Iran? This is the 21st century not the 1800s for you not to be able to share your faith. As a Baha'i, why don't you complain to the UN and get your basic religious rights?
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
The is entirely due to respect for the government of the country. It has nothing to do with the Baha'is. Individual Baha'is DO HAVE basic religious rights in Israel, just as do Muslims and Christians -- quite different than in Egypt and Iran where Baha'is are prevented from obtaining social services for which they pay through taxation!
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
a Zoroastrian messiah predicted in various late Pahlavi texts; from Shi'a Islam the return of the Third Imam, Imam Husayn; from Sunni Islam, the return of Jesus (Isa).
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
Well, your interpretations are YOURS; they differ from mine. Baha'u'llah is NOT a 'false prophet', as you say. The End has occurred; it was the end of a cycle and now the Baha'i cycle has begun. I encourage you to read two small but meaningful books: The Kitab Iqan, by Baha'u'llah; and Thief In The NIght, by William Sears. These will show proofs of Baha'u'llah's mission. If you choose to twist the Message, for sure you will be able to fool some of the people some of the time.Very sad if you do
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
One thing comes strongly to mind in your messages here-that is, you are trying with great effort to refute all aspects of the Baha'i Faith. And so I wonder what you fear. If it is not true, if it is not real, it will disappear as others have in the past.I have attempted to respond to all your comments, however I made one query of you and you have not answered that: From the Writings of the Baha'i Faith, show me one thing that is bad, please-remembering that a bad tree cannot give forth good fruit
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
Bahá'u'lláh's eschatological claims constitute six distinctive messianic identifications: from Judaism, the incarnation of the "Everlasting Father" from the Yuletide prophecy of Isaiah 9:6, the "Lord of Hosts"; from Christianity, the "Spirit of Truth" or Comforter predicted by Jesus in his farewell discourse of John 14-17 and the return of Christ "in the glory of the Father"; from Zoroastrianism, the return of Shah Bahram Varjavand,
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
The Bahai Faith seeks to mislead humanity under the garb of being a Universal religion. Its laws even today are not globally applicable and depending upon its convenience, the UHJ releases edicts from time to time. If the Faith were truly global, then these laws would have been equally applicable to all individuals from the time of Bahaullah itself. Otherwise what this means is that Bahaullah left a legacy of an imperfect, evolving faith to his successors, which debunks the Bahai Faith's claim.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
Mislead? Now... my understanding is that the law are today globally applicable, but I could be corrected on that.

MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
Clandestine? There is NOTHING secretive about it at all. One of the most holy locations of Islam is located in Israel, the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. The most holy spots of Christendom are located in Israel. The Islamic world exiled Baha'u'llah and his family to Israel BEFORE Israel existed, therefore our world centre is located there.
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
If the Bahai Faith, as it so claims, was the religion which came to unite all the religions, then why not the Jews of Israel? Are they not worthy that they be introduced to the Faith? When Moses (a.s.) who came to rescue Bani Israel did not make exceptions for Israelites, then how can a faith that is purportedly superior to Judaism make exceptions for them? In fact, this would make Judaism superior to the Bahai Faith.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago

As our knowledge of things, even of created and limited things, is knowledge of their qualities and not of their essence, how is it possible to comprehend in its essence the Divine Reality, which is unlimited? ... Knowing God,
papijoon 2 years ago
therefore, means the comprehension and the knowledge of His attributes, and not of His Reality.

MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
Not sure what you mean here... how is support by the Jews and Russians a reason why Baha's don't teach their Faith to Israelites??? Not exactly correct, I can teach to an Israelite, just not inside the borders of that country.. to me, that would mean not supported by the Jews -- but Isreal is very happy to have the world centre located in their country. I'm afraid your comment is nonsensical, sir... perhaps you can clarify, please?
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
Judaism and Christianity introduced laws that were aimed at the entire Bani Israel. Laws applied to every Israelite without exception. However, this feature is absent in the Bahai Faith, which claims to be the new Universal religion. The Bahai Faith is still not a Universal religion and even considers the Jewish order to be superior to it.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
The term "Bani Israel", that's an Islamic term, isn't it? Let's refer to the Jewish people in their terms, not others, okay? The laws of the Baha'i Faith apply to every Baha'i... I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here... cuz I have followed the Baha'i Faith for 15 years now, studied it pretty deeply, and NO WHERE have I ever seen reference to considering the Jewish order superior to ANYONE... we are all one, over and over it says so in the Baha'i teachings.
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
Bani Israel simply means children of Israel which is no different than Israelites which means The Twelve Tribes. The Abrahamic faiths we know that Judaism and Christianity introduced laws that were aimed at the entire Bani Israel, laws applied to every Israelite without exception. The fact that Bahais are not allowed to share faith with Israelites does not make it Universal.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
The fact that Baha'is are not allowed to share faith with Israelites -- IN ISRAEL -- has nothing whatever to do with the Baha'i Faith -- it is a requirement of the Israeli government.
AuntieMame9 2 years ago
Why don't you protest against your religious rights? Israel is unlike Iran or Egypt, you have your full rights in there as human beings and you should have your religious rights just like Christians and Muslims. We live in a 21st century not the 1800's for you not to be able to share your faith with the Israelites.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
Baha'ullah says that Moses, Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Mohammad were all manifestations of God (meaning perfect mirrors of God) but according to Moses, Jesus & Mohammad non of them claimed to be manifestation of God. In fact, according to the Judaism and Islam, it's a blasphemy to compare a Prophet or another human being and make him equal partners or call him "perfect mirror" of God. God is unseen, how can these Prophets be like God? Baha'i' ideology is like Christianity.
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
When the simple, humble people went to their religious leaders and asked about the truth of Christ's Mission, they were told that He was a false prophet. They were warned against Him. Even though Christ showed signs and wonders that attracted people, the leaders still denied Him. This is shown clearly in the words: (tn 201:2)
papijoon 2 years ago

MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
The Bahá'í belief in one God means that the universe and all creatures and forces within it have been created by a single supernatural Being. This Being, Whom we call God, has absolute control over His creation (omnipotence) as well as perfect and complete knowledge of it (omniscience).
papijoon 2 years ago
How can Baha'ullah be God and Prophet at the same time? Can you answer me?
MrHolyGoat 2 years ago
Although we may have different concepts of God's nature, although we may pray to Him in different languages and call Him by different names--Allah or Yahweh, God or Brahma--nevertheless, we are speaking about the same unique Being.
papijoon 2 years ago

Thecooldude303 2 years ago
Thecooldude303: alright, how are we "copying Islam" in a way that Islam isn't "copying Christianity" or Christianity isn't "copying Judaism"?
Seriously, considering how many times I've personally defended Islam from people claiming it's just copying Christianity and Judaism it's amazing to me that someone who calls themselves a Muslim would imitate the same people who attack his own faith.
PeterJDeer 2 years ago
islaim doesnt copy christianry and judiasm because 1. islam belives jesus is a prophet of god (pbuh) 2. islam doesnt belive jesus is a false messiah like the jews do. 3. islam doesnt belive jesus was a god or prophet of god. bahia faith is a teaching its not a reliogn its a teaching by bahullah. AND bahuallah is not the mahdi which he claimed he was the mahdi of islam didnt come yet. bahia faith does the smae teaches of islam exept there is no hell and their is surley hell for disbelivers.
Thecooldude303 2 years ago
Thecooldude303: You are incorrect, Baha'u'llah never claimed to be the Mahdi. The Mahdi was Siyyid Ali-Muhammad-i-Shirazi, the Bab. Baha'u'llah is the Masih.
And let's apply your same logic: 1. the Baha'i faith teaches these Messengers were Manifestations of God, 2. we believe in the Bab and Baha'u'llah, which you do not, and 3. the Baha'i faith teaches that there IS a hell, but that it is not a physical place but a spiritual state of being: distance from God.
PeterJDeer 2 years ago
Thecooldude303: But see, all you're saying is that because you disagree with their dogmas that it's not copying the religion, and the Baha'i faith doesn't ascribe to many of the man-made dogmas regarding Islam either.
But like Islam, we share the same root in holy scripture. Just as Islam acknowledges the Books which came before it, so do we acknowledge the Quran. Our relationship with Islam is not much different than Islam's relationship with Christianity, except less violent.
PeterJDeer 2 years ago
bab is the bahia faith. ok does bahia faith belive islam is the truth?
Thecooldude303 2 years ago
Thecooldude303: the faith of the Bab came before the revelation of the Baha'i faith.
As for if Islam is the truth, the short answer is "Yes." The long answer is that the revelation of Muhammad is from God, as are the revelations of Christ and Moses and all the other Prophets and Messengers.
PeterJDeer 2 years ago
ooo wow ight im starting to undertsnad this now finally a reliogn came in to this world and said islam is the truth.
Thecooldude303 2 years ago 4
Thecooldude303: Precisely.

Bahaii,is not a religion its a personal teaching of a mn called Bahaullah...like Deen Ilahi...in India...before.
Bahaullah clemed that he was a prophet.....but dii not proclaimed that he was a messenger.
A prophet and a messenger are tow different thing.
You cannot simply accept through a personal claiming that someone is prophet.
Jesus was a prophet and at the same time a messenger.

I live on the other side of the world to this and people are asking me what the story is with 'these Bahai's'. They get to hear about the Faith. God does indeed move in mysterious ways. My question is... why are there no women in the higher ranks of the organization if you believe in 'equality' of men and women.. When I discovered this, I wondered, what other 'inconsistancies' there were.
acadia0 2 years ago
We're told the reason will become clear with time. At the moment, however, whatever anyone says is complete speculation, sorry. You say "in the higher ranks" but, in fact, it is in one place only and that is the Universal House of Justice. Women take their places at the very highest ranks of every other aspect of the Faith. My own personal opinion is this is a bounty to us women; members of the House of Justice take on a highly stressful and time absorbing service.
AuntieMame9 2 years ago 8
I think we must be careful not to confuse 'equality' and 'sameness'; they are two very different things. Equality refers to opportunities and responsibilities. It's obvious that men and women are different and have different capacities, therefore their duties will not be the same. Their duties must, however, carry with them an equal portion of opportunity and responsibility. Contemplation on this may prove there is no inconsistency, as you suggest.
