Thanks, Nice sound, you inspired me to send a video response of me performing the same number with a singer. We hope that you like it. Greetings from Bristol England!
Beautifully done, in that you see a lot of possibilities in practicing this tune primarily in first position. For the naysayers, you'd gain a lot just by studying that. Thanks for posting.
Good job, but I think you missed the point. It's too mechanical to enjoy the beauty of this melody. I prefer straight 8ths for the theme. Not enough soul in here...
clean, and your making yourself happy , and people can see what you have taken your time, out of- your, life,- to share with others, I can't find on the video where you say anything about Jazz or anything , and it makes me wonder why people-D--pS-aS----s say agressive things , I know statements , like that mean they haven't got the first clue about Jazz -keep playing -cool-cat
As a worshiper at the Temple of Monk, I too was initially dismayed by this interpretation (tho I felt no need to respond harshly and crudely). But since I rarely hear this on solo guitar and would love to be able to play this challenging tune myself, I listened on. I was awed by the technique, heard chord voicings I'd love to learn, and eventually found myself even enjoying the feel of the performance - despite my bias.
This easy listening rhythmic style dumbs it down. makes it sound like 'jazz by numbers'. Would Sarah Vaughan or Ella Fitzgerald ever sing it like that? The same notes and chords without the artificial sugar would sound great.
Very beautiful... I like that it´s straight at the melody. Not so over-loaded like some other versions. Good Jazz is not only playing many notes, it´s a question of atmosphere - and you create a really good atmosphere with your Godin.
Yeah I too love it when all of the defining rhythmic feel and phrasing style is removed. please dumb down all of jazz's greatest hits because I am a braindead yuppie faggot that doesn't have any attention span FUCK YOU
Poor boy... You´re not to blame, that you´re parents weren´t able to teach you how to act as an intelligent person... Maybe one day you will visit a democratic country and see how it feels when everybody can have an own opinion. This will be a big step for you and your whole family.
The sound of the guitar was was colorful. However, at times a felt unentertained. I lost attention at times. I think you could give it your own voice and better entertain an audience if you worked towards showing your own voice through more improvising
muy bien felicidades lograste un buen balance de las notas y los timbres en cuerdas al aire suenen bastante bien y que buena guitarra tienes una godin? gracias por tu arreglo te lo voy a pedir prestado para mi recital suerte my friend

Thanks so much for sharing! Gorgeous sound! I am a vocalist, trying to learn the song and it's nice to hear the song in it's truest, haunting form.

what amp do you use?

I have a Fender Deluxe, but all of the sounds here are directly from the computer, no amp was used in the making of this recording.
Thank you.

Nice inversions, you have the song nailed. Not so sure about the chorus effect, but that is personal taste. Nice guitar work. *****5
