I honestly believe this is giefs second worst match up(with seth being the worst). The only reason people dont counter pick with blanka is because he isnt as easy to pick up as sagat and you need to think more(cant just r.h r.h r.h). All 3 match ups suck though.

You are right! I all know against Zangief is to keep him away. I don't know this match inside and out like that since I've only played the game for a few months. But this match is suppose to be in my favor. I did not know that Zangief gets green hand after up ball. Still got learning to do.

I love the hateful comments though. They are funny. If people would commit to the idea of playing to win, they would get it.

Dude, these are definitely hateful comments. But it's not that serious to me. I really think it's funny. I actually told people at the tournament I can't wait until the videos go up so I can see all the hate I get.

I think I did pretty good for my 2nd ever real SF4 tournament. Youtube haters won't change that in my mind. I'll just keep trying to get better at laming dudes out at tournaments while the rest of you sit at home, NOT at the tournaments but whining about the way I play. Too good!!!

Standing fierce eats almost everything Gief does. Gief has to commit to getting in using EX Green Hands then which lets you start some throw gimmicks or run away. Some giefs will try to kara-EX green hand horizontal balls to punish which will start the Gief wake up games but there's a big degree of risk on Gief's part for that.

i had the same problem when i used yo play blanka. I kept asking myself "is this really in my favor?!" lol but yea its still a tough matchup if you dont approach it right. I dont have any fuckin clue how to beat zangief with blanka i really am not seeing the 7-3 in that matchup. And yea when your on the tournament scene actually playing when its worth something then its a whole diferent ball game then tryin to be fancy. Me myself i main gouken so defense takes top priority over everything.
