  • fucking welding sucks bro. lol

  • good job

  • Good attempt at making H2.

  • breathing co2 is ok? but co is bad?

  • Great Video , don't worry about the welding connoisseurs as long as you got some to stick and plugged up the holes , thats all that matters for your first one. You can get fancy on the next one when you build it out of 316 stainless steel.

  • Had to laugh. My welds looked like that until 5 days ago. I am also self taught, that is until I watched a engineer teach welding on Youtube. I was using the Flux tip! No argon or co2 got to the welds making them all cold.

  • Nice project, but your video was as bad as the welds! Slow that shit down. i had to pause and play over and over again so i could even take in the info you were giving. I felt like a witness to a shooting, "officer, it all happened so fast! i can't recall a thing!"

  • How long does it take until you can light the gas???... I´m trying with corn cobs but i haven´t been able to light it.

  • @johnblake91 Weld Weld Weld Weld Weld Welding Welding Welding

  • Very good and simple instruction on downdraft gasifier fabrication. Thanks for sharing the vid.

  • 0:16 or you could use a shotgun:P

  • Hey, nice job but where's the updates of the cooler and filter? What are you planning to run off your gassifier?

  • what does the bowl do? is that were the fire is or is it at the bottom of the smaller 45gallon barrel?

  • Great vid, thanks.

  • haven't watched the video yet, to see the welds. but that high school did not teach him to spell

  • Do you work for FEMA? ... :)

  • @johnblake91 weld not wield my firend. for a good welder u whould pay no less than $200.

  • or for thin metal you could learn to gas weld using Acetylene and coat hanger. trick i learn with thin metal n arc welder is works best with tight/close fit. just burns back if have to fill

  • Nice project but not really that simple and I like your welding its...artistic;)

  • Hey John,

I don't care about how the welds look, the project worked out great! Keep at it and I am getting ready to copy your video. Thanks!

    GK

  • This one is big enough to run a car engine with.

  • HOLY SHIT WE GOT FIRE!!! :D

  • This really works ppl i v e built the same 1 following the video diagram this is good for noobs in gasifcation but got some draw backs to it i ve built few other since that 1 check my channel out

  • A few tips for welding. 1st get a welding coat infra red light burns 2nd clean the weld surfaces MIG (outer shield) welds hate dirt paint and oil third look on the inside of the side cover to get parameters for your weld settings.

  • HOW AND WHERE DO U LIGHT IT

  • @Kate16398 light a piece of paper and stick it in the air hole. The remaining charcoal from the last burn ignites real easily.

  • @johnblake91 Hey nice work! I am studying the designs and think I have a good idea of how to build one. Oh, and I didnt mind the welds at all lol. So, the fire is below the champer of wood pellets right? How do you keep the pellets from burning, is like your jsut boiling the wood so to speak and the gas produced is ignitable? Also, do you think a hotwater tank would work since it already has the insulation? Thanks so much for any anwers you may have.

  • great info thanks but please grind down those welds and redo them. they look a little dangerous for something that will be producing flameble gas

  • @threeredstars i know nothing about welding. Why are the welds dangerous?

  • @kenfo0 The welds are the real strentgth of any structure. If you work off shore on the oil rig's all welds must be x-ray tested and or hydro pressure tested (high pressure vessles) to make sure there is no slag inclusions and also you want full penetration. My concern is that if there is a small pin hole in any of your welds gas might escape, build up and go boom as soon as it hits an ignition source. Any weld that isn't smooth and uniform is always suspect for failure. stay safe, Merry X-Mas

  • Nice project, but those welds were terrible!
