You are probably thinking its the beginning of thunderstruck, and it sounds close, but there are some differences. But being a musician myself and whenever I create a song i always get, hey what is that, i think I've heard that before. I always tell them, its G, C, and D and over a million musicians play those notes haha. His song is original, but like almost any song, you can take pieces out and compare them to other songs as well.
I am truly impressed mister, but I would love to know what the name of the song is itself as I remember hearing it from a CD years ago and have been desperately trying to find it since...
not intentionally. the note progressions there are admittedly pretty generic, so that may be why they sound familiar. in fact, the interpretation of those scales really only becomes original in my opinion in regards to the rhythmic/tempo changes underneath the scales (which unfortunately are not executed very well on this). i wish i could say i had a cd but i don't. it's somewhere on my before-i-die-to-do list! LOL
Very very nice!!! That stuff is very hard to do and you make it look easy. From the start to 1:00 you do some very nice melodic ear candy that Ive never heard anything close to before. Dude, very very tasty. 5 stars and sub.
Thanks dude!!! Don't count yourself short, you probably will and better. Heck I bought my first guitar around your age, and you're already rocking from what i am hearing. peace bro, thanks for the sweet props!
5/5 normaly i woiuld take a point of from missed notes an plinks and stuff but, there were hardly any mistake the difficuly of that song is high i don't think i could play that.
wow thanks! i feel like playing twice as much now!!! ha ha hey everybody influences somebody in someway sometime. you'll have your turn soon i'm sure :)
you're too kind man! working on a demo album and a new band i'm in has started posting music (but since myspace sucks, the songs no longer work). you can find some of them here tho if you have facebook and search for the group "Stone Brew". thanks again chief!
Mylie, thanks for the encouraging words! i'm planning on doing it during an open mic session in the next couple weeks. if the video turns out ok (and i don't screw it up completely), i'll certainly post it. thanks again!
thanks bro. anything to stay off the beaten path right? you might like my sewers piece...it's sort of out there a lil. you've got some great originals yourself (i'm listening to brains for cash now)!
naw can't say i have played euro metal...at least not knowingly. ;) probably won't see a banjo vid for a while...i'm pretty terrible on it. take it easy.
thanks so much for your interest in this piece, i am honored. i'd love to tab this, but my tab skilz are so poor i don't think i could do the song justice, plus i fear it'd take me a very long time. it's really not that hard, i'm sure you could learn it by ear/sight if you really want to. if there's any part in particular you want to know more about, let me know... thanks again!! :)
it came piece by piece in various flavors over several years, and then one day i was like "that's it, i'm recording it". of course, it's changed since then. ;)
I've had to listen to this song about 20 bergillion times lol and i gotta say up to 46 seconds is some award winning shit. Been makin words to your tune all day. Keep it up and if ya ever do that tune again keep it smoothe all the way through like the first 46 secs... and by the way YOUR THE MAN -Dan (Pimpin Productions Murphy NC)
Wow man thanks! believe it or not i pull this song off better on a 12 string because the finger tapping resonates better when you tap 2 strings instead of just 1. I may try to record an improved 12 string version. i have cleaned up the technique a bit since then too.
thanks again for listening and for the very kind comments!
Thanks buddy! Been at it for about 15 years on n off. More on as of recently. I don't have any tabs for this unfortunately, but i really appreciate the interest...thanks a lot man!!!
ha ha...unfortunately, i'm too impatient to actually learn to read/write music, so i experimented my way into a certain sequence of patterns/licks, and then it was just practice, practice, practice! =)

wow i'm honored by your kind comments. my inspiration comes from comments like yours so it seems fitting to return the favor i guess. thanks so much!!
some really cool, funky chops you're showing off there. those are some really pretty harmonics at about thirty seconds in! i'm jealous of your hammer ons... i'm a straight-forward rhythm player myself, haha. keep it up! :)
This makes me feel like im walking through a quaint little happy 18th century town through the first minute. love the moods of this song man, its great. love the baselines around 1:45. Keep it up man you are one of the most original sounding artists i've heard on youtube. truly original man. its awesome music 5/5
