  • that was cool

  • I absolutely loved this! I had no idea what expect when I found this but, it was great. Awesome man!

  • @Toy8ox thanks that's very kind of you! have a great one!

  • sounds like AC/DC.

  • HAHA I LOVE IT!

  • Amazing!! Bravo man Bravo

  • man this is great!!

the harmonics alone make it golden.

    you r amazing!

  • sounds a bit like zaza lol :]]]]] n1

  • Nice work...

  • GREAT TUNE

  • You are probably thinking its the beginning of thunderstruck, and it sounds close, but there are some differences. But being a musician myself and whenever I create a song i always get, hey what is that, i think I've heard that before. I always tell them, its G, C, and D and over a million musicians play those notes haha. His song is original, but like almost any song, you can take pieces out and compare them to other songs as well.

  • what acoustic guitar model are you using in this video?

  • it's a 2006 taylor 914ce

  • :O

    I found the song!

I am truly impressed mister, but I would love to know what the name of the song is itself as I remember hearing it from a CD years ago and have been desperately trying to find it since...

Can you tell me the name please? :)

    P.S. truly amazing playing

  • thanks for the compliments, but it is 100% original. if you find it on cd please let me know so i can tell my lawyer. :)

    cheers and thx again!!

  • Is the bit from 1:25 not taken from anything else?

It sounds like the piece I heard...

Have you recorded any songs on an album, who knows, could be you I heard? :P

  • not intentionally. the note progressions there are admittedly pretty generic, so that may be why they sound familiar. in fact, the interpretation of those scales really only becomes original in my opinion in regards to the rhythmic/tempo changes underneath the scales (which unfortunately are not executed very well on this). i wish i could say i had a cd but i don't. it's somewhere on my before-i-die-to-do list! LOL

Thanks for taking the time my friend :)

  • I must say, I implore you to make an album. It only seems logical for you to do so and to let many more people listen to this superb music :)

  • Thank you so much for your encouragement. i am playing in a band now and hopefully we will do "something" someday. ha ha

    cheers!

  • wooow.

have you ever played any european metal?

because they do alot of that lol. and do i see that you play the banjo?

  • naw can't say i have played euro metal...at least not knowingly. ;) probably won't see a banjo vid for a while...i'm pretty terrible on it. take it easy.

  • Seth, I'm begging you-please, please, please, please, PLEASE can you give us the tabs? ;)

  • thanks so much for your interest in this piece, i am honored. i'd love to tab this, but my tab skilz are so poor i don't think i could do the song justice, plus i fear it'd take me a very long time. it's really not that hard, i'm sure you could learn it by ear/sight if you really want to. if there's any part in particular you want to know more about, let me know... thanks again!! :)

  • Very Expressive,

    DDR

  • thanks...i'm glad you like it!

it came piece by piece in various flavors over several years, and then one day i was like "that's it, i'm recording it". of course, it's changed since then. ;)

  • nice fingerpicking, and i love the harmonics!

  • HOLY SHIT, Cat Stevens meets AC/DC, amazing work dude

  • hahaa thanks bud!! your comment make this page look COOL!

    cheers

  • I've had to listen to this song about 20 bergillion times lol and i gotta say up to 46 seconds is some award winning shit. Been makin words to your tune all day. Keep it up and if ya ever do that tune again keep it smoothe all the way through like the first 46 secs... and by the way YOUR THE MAN -Dan (Pimpin Productions Murphy NC)

  • Wow man thanks! believe it or not i pull this song off better on a 12 string because the finger tapping resonates better when you tap 2 strings instead of just 1. I may try to record an improved 12 string version. i have cleaned up the technique a bit since then too.

thanks again for listening and for the very kind comments!

  • OK, Seth, why the hell are you not out there in the charts!? :) PLEASE make a lesson video!

  • What a smoothe sound man wish you were in NC we can bullshit around. NICE DOG!!!

  • thanks bud! much appreciated!!!

  • Thanks rgunsolus...much appreciated!! I'll have to check out DeGrassi when i get the chance! Thanks for the tip.

  • Awesome music. Did you have to write all the notes out before you sat down to play it, or did you write as you played and experimented?

  • ha ha...unfortunately, i'm too impatient to actually learn to read/write music, so i experimented my way into a certain sequence of patterns/licks, and then it was just practice, practice, practice! =)

Thanks a lot for listening and commenting!

  • well im very glad to have you as an inspiration and that we can inspire each other. I think just communicating with original artists on youtube has inspired me more then anything else. finding out where they've been, where they're going etc.

  • yeah man it really has been an eye opener for me. this has been like the perfect place to test out new material.
