I first came across this fight on the "Fights of Fury" compilation dvd from the Kung Fu Classics collestion from Dragonfly Entertainment. This was the best fight on there :) John Liu is a super-kicker :D

Yes, this movie was very entertaining! It is very hard to find. At least 3 of these same guys played in "Northern Fists, Southern Kicks" (or is it the other way around?). Anyway, I'd like to get my hands on the DVD.

Big props and thumbs up to drunkenmaster1605199 for posting this classic flick that brings back fond childhood memories. I loved this movie. I too used to imitate John Liu. You got to post two other classics, "18 Bronze Men" and "The Jade Claw." Both just as good as this movie.

One of my all time favorite kung fu movies: Great story, plot, characters and the fight scenes were incredibly creative, like watching ballet, beautifully choreographed. And just when you think the movie is over, there's more. John Liu was awesome, great flexibility and gracefully, powerfull kicks. If you're only going to watch one old traditional kung fu movie from the 80's, let this movie be it.
