Yes, I believe it was 1969; I think some eps might have had a copyright notice in the end credits. Weird thing is, the company that produced the series, Western Video Industries, is still in business (and offers this series to schools on tape!), and a listing for the company I found online shows the founding date as 1970. As a side note, WVI's president, Donna Matson, was host of another '70s educational series, "Explorers Unlimited" (billed as "Miss Matson").
