The people who were working in that hospital on that day, are the biggest disgrace to the medical profession. I believe whole hartedly that everyone working at that hospital should be investigated.
you really need to go on the msnbc website and watch their report on it. it's only 3 1/2 minutes long, but you will be appalled.
two security guards looked in and did nothing. one doctor looked in, then turned around and left. one nurse approached the lady, kicked her to see if she'd respond, then left.
it wasn't a packed & busy Emergency Room; no one was in a rush. it was the psyche ward. people who are often unable to speak for themselves.
watch it again. a doctor DOES come by, looks in at the woman laying on the floor, and then leaves. he's the guy who got fired. i think he's wearing a salmon colored shirt.
i'm going to assume that you only made the "doctor's job" comment because you didn't see the doctor in the clip.
to keep the good of the patient as the highest priority is in the oath they take. he violated that oath by his non-action, and he was rightfully fired.
no, he was fired for changing the report, he never actually walks by, my brother is a surgeon in that hospital and i'm in medical school. thanks for keeping me informed on what a doctor's duties are
Now think about this: You know a country has hit rock bottom when in their own hospitals they purposly leave a patient on the floor to die. That sounds like something you might see in a 3rd world country.
"You know a country has hit rock bottom when in their own hospitals they purposly leave a patient on the floor to die. That sounds like something you might see in a 3rd world country."
Not even... You woudn't get treated that way in Cuba for example (watch Michael Moore's Sicko or that old TV Nation specail on health care if you don't believe me)...
1.The way the mentally challenged are treated in this country is a fucking joke. They are pumped full of drugs, locked away in padded rooms with no outside contact, and then left to die. According to some, it is the devil's work and can only be treated with prayer in church.
2.Karl Rove = Ultimate tool/hack/loser/kiss ass.
3.Isn't this how politics always works anyway? They take from you, take from me and blow it on bullshit. See the "Bridge to Nowhere" and the War on Iraq as examples.
I think the quacks at King's County should have been the worst. Stealing money is bad, lying about a political opponent is bad, but blatantly ignoring someone as they suffer and die, especially when ITS YOUR JOB TO HELP THEM, is downright evil.
#3 should have been #1.
...oh, wait, I forgot this segment was 90% a vehicle for Keith's personal vendettas.

How the hell do you rank Rove and BMW as worse than the psych ward staff?

How many people think that Karl Rove should be sent to GitMo?

Kings County Hopspital is just a few blocks from where I am. I'll never take my kids there again.
On the lighter side, Karl Rove's picture just makes.. me... laugh.
When it comes to comedy, that pic alone is Epic Win!

I'd have to say, the worst-spot should have gone to the hospital staff.
