Yea, the CTS-V. Oooh, great ingenuity comes from Caddilac, stealing every engine from Chevy and putting into their own cars. It needs 600+ horsepower just to move 0-60 in under 5. You're also forgetting about the ZR1's track performance. It kept pace and beat the all wheel drive GT-R, whereas the CTS-V would be off track after a few turns.

All I have to say is look it up, Zr1 goes to 60 in the 3 second range. Even the z06 does it in 3.9 seconds. And that still only rear wheel drive, unlike a lot of imports that use all wheel drive. Like the gtr and gt2 carrera.
We do realise this. It's very fast in fact. Moreover, as cars evolve, so do the superbikes. Some of the faster bikes out have sub 3 second times. The ZR1 is extremely quick/fast nevertheless.

I was a little disappointed too, I wanted to see them introduce the Corvette zr1 with all wheel drive, and add another 50-100horses mechanically. Hell ,as far as I know they can build, (at least in racing) up to 457 cubic inches from a small block Chevy. As long as it's all American I guess!

About 200 lbs, when I was in school they told me for every 100 lbs extra weight you loose roughly a tenth of a sec if I remember right. But awd you gain about a quarter sec per wheel, weight distribution issue is accurate, i'm not a engineer as well as everybody here, pro's and cons to every drive system.
that car has 4 turbos a w-16 8.0 litere engine producing 1000 + hp and weighs over 4100 lbs but you are also paying 1.6 million more than a zo6 or zr1. but if you want something to comepete with bugatti then go to the ultimate aero TT where with the 09 or 2010 modle year it is getting a bost in hp to 1300+ from almost 1200 which is what they used to make the record breaking speed run in, 256 mph with estimated top speed 273. and it is only 2750 lbs with rwd at only 485,000$ and its american.

Put a Smaller Lighter weight V8 Twin Turbo and make the body a big smaller for the smaller egine - in that bugatti........... lighter faster prolly would win verse the Areo simple as that. and then again maybe not.
I just found out the REAR brakes on the ZR-1 are the same as the FRONT brakes that was put on the Enzo. The only other car to sport the ZR-1's front brakes is the Veyron. The ZR1 carbon ceramic Brembo brakes are the exact same brakes on the Enzo (front and rear). The Veyron's brakes are custom built in-house by Volkswagen, as they are the largest production brakes in the world.

It will most likely have 536hp and is lighter then the r8 v8 version!which means that it is less then 1525 kg or 3355 lbs, watch out! the germans are fighting back.

Yea, the CTS-V. Oooh, great ingenuity comes from Caddilac, stealing every engine from Chevy and putting into their own cars. It needs 600+ horsepower just to move 0-60 in under 5. You're also forgetting about the ZR1's track performance. It kept pace and beat the all wheel drive GT-R, whereas the CTS-V would be off track after a few turns.

All I have to say is look it up, Zr1 goes to 60 in the 3 second range. Even the z06 does it in 3.9 seconds. And that still only rear wheel drive, unlike a lot of imports that use all wheel drive. Like the gtr and gt2 carrera.

About 200 lbs, when I was in school they told me for every 100 lbs extra weight you loose roughly a tenth of a sec if I remember right. But awd you gain about a quarter sec per wheel, weight distribution issue is accurate, i'm not a engineer as well as everybody here, pro's and cons to every drive system.

I just found out the REAR brakes on the ZR-1 are the same as the FRONT brakes that was put on the Enzo. The only other car to sport the ZR-1's front brakes is the Veyron. What about the audi r8 v10, sources from inside audi have indicated that the r8 v10 lap time round the nurburgring is faster then the ZR1's 7:26. It will most likely have 536hp and is lighter then the r8 v8 version!which means that it is less then 1525 kg or 3355 lbs, watch out! the germans are fighting back.

how much gasoline does it take to develope 500hp in any vehicle about the same amount. don't go around saying that the corvette will run out of gas first because it wont when you both put the pedal to the metal you will both get equally as bad gas milage. Just because its the gtr is japanese doesn't mean that it gets its own laws of physics gasoline containes a finite amount of engergy and both cars are efi so they will get the same milage per horse power.

and we barely got this piece of shit in december and this takes place in feb.
it was on 10000 miles ok.i give it a little gas and the fuckin tranny snaps.the whole gearbox to the final gear.she takes it in gets it back . the next month a piston rod and valve springs go out this is a truck below 20000 miles. i dont care how hard you drive on a car no vehicle should do that.
