Hiii professor - me again - am ordering an electric violin for the volume factor, and gosh, hey, they doooo look so good - am going well - had many bridge twangggsssss omg, gave me a startle, and moments of noooo I can't do it and yessssss I am doing it - so hanging in there and trying to pick up the instrument 4 or 5 times most days - it will be easier with the eleccy and can play of a night - thanks prof - up to lesson 5 now....

Professor thankkkkkk youuuuuuu - in under 24 hours I can play Mary Had A Little Lamb and Twinkle Twinkle and a smattering of Three Blind Mice - I keep the violin on the table and pick it up 4 or 5 times a day in passing

There has been sounds of Dracula opening his coffin lol - but all is smoothing out

I am 54 years of age and it is eassssyyyy - my 5 children are suitably impressed hehe

I am a very early beginner, and my playing has improved exponentially due to your fine work, professor. A tip for my fellow students is an arabian scarf makes a great poor man's shoulder rest. The slipping thing is a problem for me (sorry, was).

I learned how to play the violin in school, when I was in 4th and 5th grade. After 5th, I moved out of the US and had to leave my violin behind. Now I'm in 8th and when I asked my parents for a violin recently, it hit me: I didn't remember anything.

As I press down (or put weight on my fingers) the strings, I feel like I'm putting way too much force into my fingers. In other words, I'm wondering if my strings are too high from the finger board. How do you go about measuring the right (adequate) width between your strings and the finger board?
