Only just getting into this band and several other Aussie Artists too. It's good enough for me. I've heard Missy before, she has a great voice, I just bought Bernard Fanning's CD which is brilliant , especially like his version of Songbird. Also just bought some Whitlams CDs too.
my 16 year old daughter was in Italy last year............. and i missed her soooooooooooo much too..... she came home eventually to Aus...... you enjoy and embrace your time in Italy...... it may be once in a lifetime......... make the most of it......... and yep, always love your Aussie music.
My god I love that song and pertictulary that version. I lived In australia and that was the last song i heard on the radio as i sat on the beach with my best mates before i flew home to canada.
I did cry.............And im a coal miner from Queensland, goes in some way to explain the power of this version......... I want to find a recording so i can smash it in the car and on my music system at home full blast
There is something very relaxing about music from Oz . . . . It makes me proud tobe on the same planet lol. . . . . yes I'm a closet Australian wanna be!?!
Majority of the negative comments, are coming from overprotective Powderfinger/ Fanning fans. I'm a fan too. To suggest Missy is " killing " this song, makes them sound very stupid.
Moyboy38, clearly there is something obviously disfunctional with your hearing you pretentious and egotistical prick. This by far, is one of the greatest musical comebinations ever to be produced. ALSO, might i add, this event was set up purely to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Assosciation, so how do you feel now you heartless creep.

Weird but this doesn't really do it for me. I love them both but for this performance Bernard's guitar playing really gives me the shits. Especially those extensions he keeps putting in on the chords. Missy's harmonies don't cut it either. She doesn't even try to blend her voice with Bernard. Sorry. Really cool idea though. And obviously great song. Maybe I had to be there
i agree with you about the guitar but i really like missy's voice so i like it. when she sings the second word of the verse early was a bit offputting as well, but you get used to it.

When its music that makes you proud to be a nationality it says a lot about how much power government really has.

I absolutely LOVE this song. Missy is so cute.
Bernard Fanning has a brilliant, strong voice.
There are few top class rock bands in OZ now.
However, Powderfinger and Bernard Fanning
are clear standouts.
They could have cut it with our legendary bands,
of the 70's and 80's.
