Bernard Fanning & Missy Higgins - 'Sunsets'

Only just getting into this band and several other Aussie Artists too. It's good enough for me. I've heard Missy before, she has a great voice, I just bought Bernard Fanning's CD which is brilliant , especially like his version of Songbird. Also just bought some Whitlams CDs too.

Bernard Fanning has a brilliant,strong voice.

There are few top class rock bands in OZ now.

However, Powderfinger and Bernard Fanning

are clear standouts.

They could have cut it with our legendary bands,

Weird but this doesn't really do it for me. I love them both but for this performance Bernard's guitar playing really gives me the shits. Especially those extensions he keeps putting in on the chords. Missy's harmonies don't cut it either. She doesn't even try to blend her voice with Bernard. Sorry. Really cool idea though. And obviously great song. Maybe I had to be there

i agree with you about the guitar but i really like missy's voice so i like it. when she sings the second word of the verse early was a bit offputting as well, but you get used to it.
