  • Dude, you're going way to fast for the cagers to see you!!

  • lol you were on the 605 S transition to the 91 E huh?

  • Motorcyclists, let me just tell you guys something... I'm not trying to be a dick or tell others what to do either, i'm just worried about you guys.

    1) Saving a little time off your trip just isn't worth taking this risk (legal or illegal)

    2) A huge amount of people are just bad drivers, and trust me on this... eventually some asian woman on a cell phone (the perfect storm) will accidentally lane drift over just enough to clip you. At this speed you're lookin at a 100 foot+ slide on concrete.

  • @inmaniak I agree...I live in a state where there is no lane splitting...riding is a defensive deal - if you are not looking out for folks who are not seeing you, you're going to get hurt...!

  • @inmaniak the major concern and primary reason for the legality of lane splitting in cali is that the motorcycles were and often still are unable to stay cool at lower to no speed. After that yeah lane splitting can be done safely and it doesn't seem to matter if we split or don't people are going to put us in jeopardy either way. Might as well NOT sit in traffic.

  • @Zdolshin I hear ya on that one. I would definitely lane split too if it was in heavy Cali traffic and all other vehicles were going less than 5mph. I'm just talking about at these speeds I find it to be a very pointless risk. At 5mph though of course do it, no cars are going to be able to sideswipe you at that speed.

  • @inmaniak I'm probably not quite as reserved as you on this, but yeah using common sense and better judgment does come into play. As we can see there are many people that are on here thinking that it's just plain ok for a car to "cut off" a bike that is lane splitting anywhere. Unfortunately for everyone, as your pointing out, there is nothing we can do about these people and they are endangering the lives of bikers (accidentally or purpose).

  • @inmaniak Oh would you look at the racist giving pointers.

  • @supersnake1599 how would being a racist invalidate my logic here? For your information, it's called a stereotype. I was simply using a well known one to metaphorically express how pointless and dangerous lane-splitting can be. Sorry if that shook up your puritanical brain. But yes the obvious reason for me leaving that comment was to blast all asian people, because their very existence boils my blood... that was sarcasm, just in case you missed it.

  • @inmaniak so youre argument is basically:

    1) its not worth it because its not safe

    2) its not safe

NICE ARGUMENT! as a motorcyclist i have a few arguments too:

    1) going at slow speeds can be safe (and is legal in cali) since you have plenty of reaction time

    2) lane splitting reduces traffic congestion (which is partly why it is legal in cali) since bikes are basically eliminated from taking part in the lanes

    3) bikes arent air conditioned, so give bikers a break

    basically, why you bitchin?

  • THIS IS THE WAY OF DRIVING MOTORCYCLE IN GREECE AND IN MANY EUROPEAN COUNTRIES ! NOBODY STAYS BEHIND THE CARS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC.YOU MUST LOOK INSIDE THE CAR FOR THE DRIVER FOR ANY REACTION OR MOVEMENT TO CHANGE LANE !CAR DRIVERS NOT GET MAD BECAUSE IS USUAL.ITS ALSO DANGEROUS BUT YOU MUST TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY IF SOMETHING HAPPENED.

  • its amazing how willing people are to put their bikes and lives in the hands of other people. Legal in California Yes (not at these speeds however) Wise not by a long ways

  • i dont know how it is in your country but where im from its allowed to do that no police will stop you for this if you dont go like crazy between the cars

  • Lol yur pushing yur luck

  • How is this legal ? They want us to be on the lookout for motorcycles and share the roads with them , but then they do stupid crap like this !!

  • @truepass2679 go outside and look at your cars engine, see that fan in front?it cools the engine when its not moving, motorcycles don't have that, if you sit in traffic with a motorcycle your engine will overheat and possibly blow. anyways your supposed be checking your mirrors and turning your head, no excuse not to see a rider, so its not as stupid as you think.

  • @BurroBurrito1 Hm... both my motorcycles do have that.... water cooled. What I think you meant is that "some" or maybe "many" motorcycles don't have it, which is true :).

  • @pauldonovan08 maybe cruisers, which i dont know alot about, but yea enduros and sport bikes are mostly air cooled

  • @BurroBurrito1 Maybe, but my ZX6r supersport is water cooled. I think most modern supersport street motorcycles are. BUT I could be wrong, and I take your point about lane splitting due to engine heat issues. Even the water cooled ones get hot in traffic.

  • @pauldonovan08 2005 water cooled cbr600 jumps to about 230 at a short red light lol

  • jesus, that was dangerous (and Im the sort that drives fast). Also if those roads were Irish motorways, they'd be passed unsafe. Lane markings are just about nonexistent in spots.

  • Baha

  • dude the officer just took off bhahahahaha

  • I love cali for this.

  • I still don't think you can cross the double yellows he can cause hes a cop but if he wanted to he could probably get you for that

  • @siekiersk have never seen CHP give tickets for that. for a bike, splitting the carpool lane is safest, so i think cops respect it.

  • lane splitting is totally legal in ca and its the only states that allow that. good split

  • @phycowii no lane sharing is legal in ca, we just call it lane splitting, lane splitting is when your in two lanes at the same time which is kind of hard to do on a bike.your ether in one lane or the other or running over the little wake up bumps in the middle, talking to a motorcycle cop in cycle gear the other day an some one had ask him about it he said if your not going more then10 mph over the traffic speed then they wont pull you over and any faster then cruising in 3rd gear is to fast

  • This should be illegal. It is a huge distraction to other drivers. instead of watching what is in front of them. They have to look over and make sure they dont drift over and hit the guy on the bike.

  • @ducksgonewild6294

dont drift over and check your mirrors before changing lanes? at near freeway speeds, theres enough room between cars for motorcycles to weave around anyway.

  • @ducksgonewild6294 no dude why should it be illgal because u cant keep ur car in a straight line theres no need to look at the bike he will not hit ur ass just focus on your self and drive normal and theres no problem the only times its dangerous is when u get ignorant ass holes who dont like getting passed in traffic so they try to block or svere at u like retards. this is a good way for car to get a broken window fast lol i caried a small t ball bat for dicks like that.

  • @ducksgonewild6294 Why because you suck at driving, i have to pay learn how to drive . don't drift pay attention to what your doing and get off your phone. ass !

  • perfectly executed... nice work!

  • Is lane splitting Legal in LA?

  • @AnDr3wSchlosser : yes, in all of california

  • @chinoichiro Oh i see, I live in British Columbia and it's not legal here. Thanks for clearing that up!

  • omg, motorcycyle officers in america wear t - shirts on their bikes? talking about a good example..

  • cop just smoked you :P

  • This is still very risky riding. I never trust people to do what they are supposed to. Land shifting, adjusting the radio, talking on a cell phone, turning around to talk to someone in the back seat, or just bad driving will eventually catch up with you no matter how quick your reflexes and good a rider you are. Edging to the front of stopped cars at a stoplight might be ok, but not this. Just a matter of time.

  • ... another brilliant comment...

  • lol I love internet tough guys... 99% of the time they turn out to be 16 year olds with nothing to do!

Anyways lane splitting is illegal and for a good reason... There is already enough of you learner permit fucks out there to deal with the last thing we need is some pasty kid with a katana thinking he is gods gift to women weaving through traffic. Hence why I get great pleasure out of slowing these idiots down...

  • @NHLB7 I sure hope you do try some stupid non-sense on a biker to slow him down if you live in CA. I am positive you will be windowless after a few dumb decisions like that. By the way lane splitting is legal in CA and it's the only state that it is. It is LEGAL for a good reason so do your research and use your brain. Don't put others in danger just because you don't think they should be doing something even if they are wrong.

  • Traffic is moving here, no real need to split lanes.

  • I don't see a problem with lane splitting at slow speeds, but at that speed you have to be stupid or crazy.

  • Every time I see some dumb shit doing this I make sure I slow them down bye getting close to the next car... No need to do this crap... You can wait like everyone else!

  • @NHLB7 well i hope i run into you one day so i can jump off my bike and beat you senseless you inconsiderate fuck!

  • @NHLB7 its not like they're making YOU wait any longer.

  • @NHLB7 What? Because you're too scared to get on a bike you'll slow others down who aren't? Nice.

  • @leagle0147 so basicly you must be a 14 year old... Because there is no way an intelligent person could ever come up with a statement as stupid as this one... How do you get that I am to scarred to ride a bike from this?

  • @NHLB7 So basically you must be a 14 year old because you can't spell you fucking moron. Learn to spell before you say something like that.

It's interesting that a '25 year old' like you could be so angsty to go on all the motorcycle videos where they crash and say the stupid shit you do. You're actually acting a 14 year old.

  • its technically legal it most states besides like 7 of them. its a loop hole, there is no law saying you cant do this. its just frowned upon.

  • Is this legal in ca?

  • too loud for the UK. cops would nick us. wish we could make noise.

  • people like you make me wanna open my door when i see you coming

  • @ForeverWikkid Oh, so you'd like to seriously injure and possibly kill someone because they chose to ride a motorcycle and do something perfectly legal while you're stuck in traffic?

  • @insaneclown2103 lol no it mostly happens when im at a red light and here in vegas its gotta be the most illegal thing you can do on a bike besides popping a wheely its a wake up call

  • how do you hold the camera??

  • @halotvchannel69

    lmao, you're a fkn idiot.

  • @kenny1309

srry my friend was on my acc

  • @halotvchannel69 You dont! It gets mounted somewhere (helmet or bike or something).

  • PT CRUISER NO CRUISER BACKS!

  • Damn Mr. Officer was gettin' it lol !

  • Just so you know, you can get a ticket for crossing the double yellow. I was lane splitting in the HOV lane on the 210 E and there was a big truck ahead of me. There wasn't much room to pass it, and when I did he gradually swerved to the right forcing me to cross over the double yellows, and sure enough Mr. CHP on a bike was right there and pulled me over and gave me a ticket for it.

    Be careful!

  • @TheSentinelGuardian CHP officers cite other cops and would cite their own mothers,lol...

  • @Gladiator0719 ROFL!

  • SHIFT SHIT

  • Can you do this in Minnesota? or where can I find a list of states I can do this?

  • @bendystix Just in california. You can do it here in the UK and most of the world's countries. America isn't really a free country, is it?

  • @04smallmj Not as much as I wish it would be. Mostly the left wing nuts that come up with crap to take our freedoms away. Not saying the rightys have no problems though.

  • @bendystix you can only do it legally in california

  • @wes1137 Pretty stupid, reduces traffic congestion and helps us not get run over from someone behind us..

  • People stereotype motorcyclist as wreck less, but their not ALL like that. In fact, usually their safer than anyone on the road? Why? Simple, they have less margin for error. If they get into an accident they don't have air bags to protect them. Drivers (in cars) have to many distractions, coupled with common stupidity you find drivers almost always cutting one another off, and failing to signal. This is what makes lane splitting dangerous. People in cars are more dangerous then ppl on bikes.

  • its lane sharing not splitting and its perfectly legal

  • haha the cop tried to lose u? lol

  • 1:20 and you got owned by a lane-splitting cop.. lol dude that's ridiculous

  • jesus shift!

  • Lanesplitting 101 kids. You stay in a lower gear when lanesplitting to give yourself an out. You stay in the power band and you get another option to accelerate out of trouble, rather than just braking.

When you aren't splitting, no reason to go to top gear though.

Loud pipes don't save lives. Not driving like a complete idiot while assuming everyone around you will does save lives though.

  • @mercator79 That's what i thought until i bought a bike with loud pipes.... cars do see me when i'm on the loud bike.... when i take the quiet one, they start cutting me off and not seeing me anymore... does'nt mean i can drive like a jerk on the loud motorcycle but i am less worried than on the regular one.

    It's sad but true !!

  • if an officer was doing that behind me, guess what i would do? "oops?! sorry officer, didnt you know were right there behind me." :D

  • @crapatitus and you would get a ticket for a number of infractions. That would be a real shitty day for the both of you I am sure of it.

  • @Zdolshin why would i get a number of infractions?

  • @crapatitus because you causing an accident by pulling in front of a biker that is lane splitting in any state would mean that you:

    1. gave less than 100ft signaling notice

    2. intentionally caused a road hazard to another motorist

    3. (if the biker is injured) used your vehicle as a weapon

    4. (if the biker dies) guilty of vehicular manslaughter

Those 4 are enough to think twice about "causing a motorcyclist to slow down" by intentionally swerving out in front of their path.

  • Comment removed

  • @Zdolshin you are a dumbass. lol. lane splitting is only legal in cali. and in cali, if the motorcyclist who is lane splitting gets into any kind of accident with another person (doesn't matter who caused it) the motorcyclist is at fault. thats cali law. so no, i would not get a number of infractions. if anything, he would

  • @crapatitus and if you caused some biker that was in an emergancy to come to injury or even die. I am sure that you would feel differently about cutting bikers off when they are lane splitting. Yeah it could happen on accident, but you would be intentionally causing more danger to that biker's life and probably his livelyhood. My fam depends solely on me and the income I bring in. That's 7 people. I'm not sure you would feel so great about taking the father of 5 children. Or ...?

  • @Zdolshin you fool, thats like condemning a pack of lions for eating a gazelle because a gazelle happened to have wondered into a pack of lions. and dumbass, i am a biker, ive lane split, and i wont ask for any kind of pity if i get killed doing something stupid like lane split. i accept that it is a dangerous world, just like he does. and for fucks sake, learn to take a joke!

  • cop burned you

  • in the beginning.. were you jumping on the 91 freeway?

  • so i take it its not illigal to lane split

  • @jasonschmidty01 Not in California anyway

  • @jasonschmidty01 not under 35MPH technically over 35 it is illegal. you gotta have a pissy cop to get one over 35

  • You know what's funny? If that cop hadn't of been there, you'd have probably shot through there like the Gixxer-riding squid you are. Gotta love those who follow the law just because the cops are watching.

  • @clittle760

Come on mate, everyone follows the law when there is a cop around. When there is not... let the fun commence!

You cant tell me you havnt done it

  • Would have been funny if the Officer you were following had slowed down to give you a ticket when you followed him to the car pool lane.

  • @VekDraygun bikes are legal in carpool lanes

  • @pishabness, you don't know what you're talking about dude. And that guy riding the crotch rocket can shift or not shift whenever the fuck he wants to. I'm sure he knows his bike way better than you do. And even if he wants to grenade his motor that's up to him

  • 605 south to the 91 east

  • On these rare occasions.. it's a marvelous education for the cars you pass.

And a note on the bike noise.. I ride a BMW sewing machine.. so yes.. I can attest to quite a bit of spilled coffee and startled looks as I zip by..

    vvvvvvvvvvvvrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

  • He was keeping it in the power band, I would to in that situation. If you have to get out of the way quick, just crack the throttle open.

  • pishabness.... what the hell does he have to shift for, bikes redline at like 15000RPM his highest was prolly 7k...

  • I don't know what RPM he was doing, but it clearly sounds like the rider has a habit of dragging the gear/bike. I wouldn't be surprised if he's riding a 500, as those things wind up at highway speeds.

  • SQUID!!! Learn to change gears dammit. I feel sorry for the bike.

  • i guess its so they hear him comming.

  • LOUD PIPE SAVE LIVES!

  • @streetpunk83 LOUD PIPES RISK RIGHTS!

  • @lolwowstupid yeah tell me about it if i bring it up over 7k rpms i have the cops on my ass in town but on the hwy thats the easiest way to be noticed on a bike i've been cut off so many times the exhaust definetly helps

  • @streetpunk83

    Okay MrWeAreTheWorld.

    so does donating blood.

  • @pishabness why the hell would he shift?! He's nowhere near the redline. Here's an idea... let's lane split as quietly as possible and sneak up on the cars!! Idiot!

  • I'll tell you why the hell he should shift. He's not in higher gears ffs! Please don't tell me it's ok to ride in 1st gear all day long because you can do 35mph @ 7K in 1st gear?

  • @pishabness no, he SHOULDN'T shift because then his bike becomes quiet, hence, not letting other motorists hear him as easily.

  • @pishabness He did shift. Get the sperm out of yer ears

  • @pishabness lol

  • @pishabness Feel sorry for the bike? Come on now he is on a sportbike with a redline of 12,000+ RPM. He is using maybe 1/2 that and in no way being hard on the bike. Why would you want to lug the bike through traffic like this? Do you even know anything about engines? Lugging is far worse than running close to the red. Better than having to shift back and forth as you speed up and slow down negotiating traffic. Plus you are better able to accelerate faster out of a bad situation if needed.

  • @Cobalt135 Should see my bike. Redlines at 16,000.

Always think I'm going to get pulled over for noise restrictions.

  • @pishabness haha it's built for that...not hard on it at all

  • @topduck7 I'm running 11K in 6th almost daily on the HW but that's not that point. The point is that you stay in higher gears when cruising along. The bike runs smoother the lower the revs, and the engine runs cooler too. Why do 60mph @ 11K in 4th when you could do it at 7K in 6th?

  • @pishabness No kidding....holy crap!! lol

  • dude... im new to bikes, just got one myself and will be commuting to and from work... lol.. i think this is the freeway i'll be taking actually hahaa.. this the 605 south to the 91 East.... going towards Cerritos CA and then Buena Park/Anaheim... Im pretty dang sure! Be safe everyone!!!!

  • yea it is....i go on it all the time....splitting is a must! traffic is a B**** there. ride safe good luck

  • What you call lane splitting we call filtering. Its legal here but care needed obviously.I would hate to be forced to travel at the speed of all the tin boxes in traffic.

As for harleys being the best bike in the world, each to their own but i would rather ride a drainage ditch pump on wheels than most of those overweight underbraked dinosaurs.

  • Spoken just like a person that has no idea of what they are talking about.

  • what department did that cop work for???

nice video... i saw my work on this video

    91 east.

  • it's legal

  • yes i know that. thank you

  • Fuck the rest...good vid

  • i don't like motorcycles revving of Hell's Angel. they are overbearing and loud. Harley Davidson motorcyclists may be the best and the American made motorcycles, but they are so loud and causes my blood to boil. Motorcycles used by officers should be the better choice of motorcycles used because they are quietly operated and easy to tolerate.

  • You should have paid more attention in English class.

  • Looks like a bad episode of CHiPs

  • agreed lol 100%

  • r u retarded

  • Comment removed

  • u mad ? I dont think u get the point of the video.

  • Did he mention anything about the officer doing anything illegal? No. The video simply says following a motorcycle officer. You should get your facts right before you say anything you dumb shit

  • FAIL

  • u should pull that cop over for driving so slow lol

  • lane splitting makes like livable

  • I hate it when cops don't pull over and make you chase them like that.

Total split envy. Here in Chi-town Ill-noise they are really cracking down on splitters.

  • its legal here in california

  • No kidding!

That's why the ENVY part comes in...

  • wtf if we lane split in va thats reckless driving and in va reckless driving is up to a year in jail sentence

  • Bummer, here in Cali it is only reckless if you wheelie while splitting lanes! LOL

  • Yeah, in Utah everyone's an ass about everything... i know how u feel... lol people even yell at me for having a longboard. 'stupid skateboarder'

  • I cant tell if its Interstate 10 or the 71 Freeway, looks to be near Chino/Claremont area..

  • Only in LA :)

  • cant you see he's trying to get away from you stop stalking him

  • love the sound of your gixxer

  • That's pretty ballsy, I know he can cross a double yellow but can you. Would like to know, I live pretty close to where you were Riding

  • No, regular folk can't cross the double yellow.

Following a cop like this is like the parting of the Red Sea as far as getting through traffic goes.

  • They can do that by law.

  • cop was checking people for seat belts

  • hey bro ,are you in that ruff ryder club/group? how can i join your group? do i need to know tricks to join?

  • Man join

    G-zer Tribe Bikers!

    Here in Cali.

  • hey ! is that the 91 frwy?!
