1.) There totally different characters.

2.) Different writers, though both are great.

and 3.) Ones basically about the tale "The Blackest Night" where basically smart zombie super heroes rise up as Black Hand leads them, where the other is just about introducing the new dynamic duo whilst bringing up some great stories while Bruce is gone...

I think Johns was influenced by Kishimoto's Naruto. Because this thing with the 7 emotional entities are some what simular to the 9 tailed beasts. Krona wants the entities for something big, where as Madara wants to reunite the tailed beasts to bring back the Jyubi or 10 tailed beast.

@stainshield: I think Geoff Johns thought about this long before Naruto was ever a twinkle in Masashi Kishimoto's eye. Plus Krona's been around a lot longer. He was in the original Crisis, "Crisis on Infinite Earths," back in 1985 by Marv Wolfman. Geoff's just expanding Krona's story.

@badcompanyization I dunno, i would have generally agreed with you, but with both companies the handling of Batman and Captain Americas 'deaths' was largely similar enough. And the current CHAOS WAR story in marvel, seems to have the same general idea for the bad guy as nekron from what ive read so far (only issue 2,) but the whole DARKNESS FROM BEFORE THE UNIVERSE thing is the same.

I think Green Lantern is kinda of an annoyance. After everything that happened to him and everything he experienced he's still a narcissist.

Batman and the Flash, they are real heroes. They sacrifice so much of themselves to their ideals of heroics while Hal Jordan kinda goes around gloating. I really wish they hadn't brought him back. I liked see his pompous ass snuffed out. lol it's funny cuz he's a comic book character but they make him annoying and unlikable.

I mean, where is this story going? Wut does Nekron even want? And why are the undead trying to eat everyone?

@hulkmeister23 if you've read nearly any issue of any tie in even, you'd know that the BLs want everyone to be dead so they can find what they think is piece. In order to make things scarier the bad guys are wearing black suits. The more they kill the more they're boss gets powerful.

There's 5 main GLs: Alan Scott (the first), Hal Jordan (the second), Guy Gardner (angry headstrong GL), John Stewart (black GL), and Kyle Rayner (young GL). They didn't take him away, he actually stars more in the Justice League comics (because of the cartoon, everybody associates him there), and he shares the title of Green Lantern with the other guys.
