Well all of it is probably subjective. In my experience it gets a lot better after the first few weeks. It's absolutely not the best game in the world but I question the sanity of anyone who things a grindfest like mabi could possibly be better, even though it very much had the potential to be. It's a much more interesting and creative game than WoW, but I think WoW is a lot funner in the long run.

@Fetchdafish While it is undeniable that Mabinogi causes an infinite amount of grinding unlike that of WoW with it's finite grinding at level cap which I think was 80? Nevertheless grinding is good and bad if you consider it. On one hand it makes you have no life which is why I'm staying off MMOs for a while to focus on my studies. On the other hand though it poses a constant challenge. Yes WoW isn't to bad but then it's too unlinear if you know what I mean.

@Fetchdafish Well, I'm not quite sure how you envisioned that potential. Mabi, really, past the AP grinding, is a really good game (in fact, one of the best or even THE BEST in all MMO gaming). Granted, I feel your pain. After lv 40 or so, it becomes a constant struggle to gain more AP for your skils, so much so that you just have to wait for your aging. Regardless of that fact, the game itself isn't just about fighting... (to be continued)

@Fetchdafish (continued) ... it's about having, really new social experiences (to an extent, as with all MMOs, however with a bit more increased boundary). This is why the highlight of the "Life" type skills are those dealing with music making. Also, the highlight of this game is the fluidity of the gameplay. You can choose to be an alchemist after being an archer in (quite literally) a press of a button. This freedom is not found in WoW. Even more, is that with all of the... (to be continued)

@Fetchdafish (continued)... skills found in the game,it's hard NOT to feel as if you're in a grindfest. However, this is the ultimate pitfall in ALL MMOs, because no MMO has a linear path. Mabinogi is no exception. Neither is WoW.

WoW has the advantage of being able to choose multiple paths, though, especially since the new expansion. Your action can even affect the world, changing terrain, NPCs and such.

@sicnarfisotaku If you mean the one around 1:20, that's the demigod transform. You get it as the story reward when you finish G10. It can be learned by all races and can be activated at the -same time- as the normal trans.

Currently, Mabinogi is up to G12 (return of heroes) on Korean Servers. G9 (Alchemist) was only released on American servers just recently. And to answer your question with a set answer.......indefinite. If Mabinogi were to have a set number of generations, the game would die.
