  • Wery nice work. what is the status on you`r project?

Often when i look up steam on youtube, i olly find engines, no boilers. how does your look and work. how did you dimention it to you`r engine.

In about 25 years from now i hope i`ll find the time to play like you.

Best of wishes for you and you`r project.

  • hi all, I need to sell the engine,

    Enquiries to Bell47J@hotmail.com

  • what a lovely sound

  • that's a nice engine, what pressure were you running it at?

  • Very nice. Only 12hp, but do have any sort of guess as to what amount of TQ it puts out?

  • assuming 12 hp @ 500 rpms, then 12 x 5252/500 = 126 ft-lbs of troque! gas engine at 12 hp(3600 rpms) puts out around 30 or so.

  • This is "hardcore" for the advanced user.

  • Superb work, it's a good performer.

  • A work of art!!! I am very impressed. Thanks for sharing the video with us.

  • OH and congratulation,.....fine piece of craftsmanship. You should be proud.

  • Thankyou, it was a long time to finish, its all painted and nickle plated now.

    regards

  • Would you share drawing and plans. All I can find are model plans, not very helpful.

  • G'day,

The castings were purchased from Strath Steam in South Australia, Rod may be able to help there.

    Cheers

    Andy

  • Steamn51, I have a small garage machine shop with arc- and gas welding. Also, made a casting furnace with all the tools, so I could cast AL and Bronze. I make my own patterns also. Being retired, I make most all my toys(tools).

However, I like to work with blue prints, otherwise it's trial and error.

Ill check into their web site.

Thanks for the reply and info,
