@mayol74 hi there, thankyou for your comment, I have one steam launch and need to sell this engine as I dont have enough time or space for a larger vessel.
So yes the this new engine is for sale now, would ship it anywhere to a good home.
Steamn51, I have a small garage machine shop with arc- and gas welding. Also, made a casting furnace with all the tools, so I could cast AL and Bronze. I make my own patterns also. Being retired, I make most all my toys(tools).
However, I like to work with blue prints, otherwise it's trial and error.
thanks bud, just had some bits nickle plated, about to paint and lagg the cyclinders with timber. Would be nice if I could find a 20 something launch in fibreglass and in marine survey.cheers
Excellant engine. When will the boat be launched?

that's a nice engine, what pressure were you running it at?

Very nice. Only 12hp, but do have any sort of guess as to what amount of TQ it puts out?
crazyfvck 2 years ago
assuming 12 hp @ 500 rpms, then 12 x 5252/500 = 126 ft-lbs of troque! gas engine at 12 hp(3600 rpms) puts out around 30 or so.

Would you share drawing and plans. All I can find are model plans, not very helpful.

G'day,
The castings were purchased from Strath Steam in South Australia, Rod may be able to help there.
