Portraying Life in the Old West - Shadows of the Old West

My grand father was a part of the old west. I don't know how they survived. He married my grand mother when she was 12 and had her first born at 13. She had 11 more by the time she was 27. My Dad was 2nd to the youngest. There's no room to describe what they ate, but at times they ate the same thing every day for week's on end. I have picture's of Dad when he was in his mid teens, and he looked to be in his early 30s. He was born in 1896 when the old west was coming to an end. Tough times then.

Im arab and i am really interested in the old west. I have got so many books from the library about the wild west. I really loved it but I agree that i should live today and pretend I lived back then.
