well that all depends on the battery and the charger. a decent battery over 3000 mah or nicd or whatever will last a good 30 to 45 minutes depending on how your driving. also lipo batterys offer higher performance but are more expensive... and i have a 3000 nicd 7 cell flat pack that takes about an hour and a half to two hours to charge all the way
